This pedal really does wonders. Ever since I recieved it I've been enjoying playing more. My Fenders (both Jazz and P basses) sound so much better now with the Haz like punch. Thanks again!
This is great. Now the newer Fodera guys can enjoy that sounds of the 80s Foderas that came with Haz preamps. Warwick owners can get closer to that ideal copy of a Spector theyd been trying forever to mimic. We can go for that early Stenberger sound. People that liked the Kramers with a Khaz will go apeshit for this. The versatility of a pedal really opens up a lot of that 80s Haz footprint to explore.
On a bass with active EMGs but no preamp - just a single tone knob - does the tone need to be rolled all the way down as the starting point before the pedal? Or all the way up?
If it's a EMG tone pot like the B124 passive tone pot, you'll want to roll it all the way Clockwise so it is at it's brightest sounding. The B124 is a passive tone control, which means all it can do is cut (remove) sound from the signal. At CW, the resulting signal is not being cut by the tone control, so the pedal will be seeing the same pickup signal that it would normally see directly from a pickup.
As soon as I found out this was in pedal form I bought it right away. Can’t wait to get it.
