It’s really tough especially since it’s so rare it makes you feel super alone because not many people understand . I’m from Canada but I visit Texas every few months in the Austin area .

I was in remission for a year and half and just was re-diagnosed again 3 days ago. I’m on 2 grams of diamox. I’m praying I’m able to get it under control again. If you ever want to chat I’m here🖤.

I had my spinal tap last week and they called me 2 days ago advised me of my IIH/ pseudo tumor cerebi. It’s very emotional I’m happy because I can put a name to this. I’ve experienced these symptoms for years and didn’t even know it. It wasn’t until I was in an accident in February I had a mri and they found 2 abnormalities. It’s been rough and it seems like my spinal Tap gave me bad symptoms. My migraines- you know how they feel 😩neck is stiff and it’s hard for me to walk regular. My coworkers don’t understand because I look fine and try to have a positive attitude. My goal is to switch back to a vegan/ plant based diet
I was recently diagnosed two weeks ago, symptoms started about two weeks before so in total it’s been a month. But thinking back my symptoms have started a year ago. The migraines, the not eating, the dizziness, the fear of driving I all deal with....on the 29th was when I received my first spinal tap, yesterday I visited my pcp to refer me to a neurologist, which may take another two weeks. I’m in pain, and since when my headaches first started I’ve been to the Er twice, seen two more doctors besides my own....was thinking of going to the ER again last night...but enough about that. U are not alone...I’m happy I came across your videos, I’m not in Texas but I’m next door in Louisiana. We’ll get through this together.
Ugh I totally understand the whole migraine thing. When I was younger, I would get really bad migraines and ended up in the hospital. I would constantly throw up, and the most time I could have between throwing up was about 30 minutes. Its so great your migraines are getting better, and it’s cool to learn we live near by (since we go to the same six flags). Hope you continue to get better 💛💛 keep fighting, you’re doing great. My parents have been trying to get me the test for what you have but I keep refusing because I’m so scared to see if the results are positive since I have all the symptoms. I'm 153lbs and my doctor put me on a 600 cal a day diet and 600mg of diamox daily. The diamox makes me super tired and being hungry makes me irritable. I always ask myself how am I supposed to be a productive person under these circumstances? I just want you to know that you're not alone and I'm standing with you. We can make it through this!

Spider-Man tissues lol 💙 Look into castor oil, I think that's what it's called, for your hair. It helped my mom's ex. Or headwraps are super cute if you are feeling really sad about it one day. I will start learning to sign right now, so if you need someone to talk to we can video chat and you don't have to hear me. I would totally put in the time to do that for you, don't test me. Idk if it'll help but I like to write letters as therapy. Write one to yourself when you're feeling good, and read it when you're feeling low. You can always talk to me too 🤷🏽

My doctor wants me to get a shunt and I'm scared because I will have to shave my head. If it gets clogged or needs maintenance I have to shave again and again... :( Are you still on the medication? Do you think that a stent would work for you? I'm waiting to hear back from my doc to see if I can do that instead of a shunt. I also heard that weight loss can help with some people. What medication are you taking? Do you recommend it? Did it help your vision and pain?
I was born with craniosynostosis with hydrocephalus my brain twisted on its stem I had to have surgery at 7months old i have tons organic disorders from birth im 31 now i am having bad seizures an have been pretty much been bed ridden with tons extreme pain an stuff thats like death daying im not stop suicidel an trying not to scream cry got alot going on to im just know geting to a neurologist he said i had to get a lumbar puncture he thinks i have pseudo tumor also its horrific

Look into castor oil, I think that's what it's called, for your hair. It helped my mom's ex. Or headwraps are super cute if you are feeling really sad about it one day.

Idk if it'll help but I like to write letters as therapy. Write one to yourself when you're feeling good, and read it when you're feeling low. You can always talk to me too 🤷🏽

My doctor wants me to get a shunt and I'm scared because I will have to shave my head. If it gets clogged or needs maintenance I have to shave again and again... :(
Are you still on the medication? Do you think that a stent would work for you? I'm waiting to hear back from my doc to see if I can do that instead of a shunt. I also heard that weight loss can help with some people. What medication are you taking? Do you recommend it? Did it help your vision and pain?

I was born with craniosynostosis with hydrocephalus my brain twisted on its stem I had to have surgery at 7months old i have tons organic disorders from birth im 31 now i am having bad seizures an have been pretty much been bed ridden with tons extreme pain an stuff thats like death daying im not stop suicidel an trying not to scream cry got alot going on to im just know geting to a neurologist he said i had to get a lumbar puncture he thinks i have pseudo tumor also its horrific

i have it too i see 1 in 100.000 im still looking no one explained me or give treatment and i have the diagnose a year ago with the other name IIH i didnt look into it until i saw pseudotumour cerebri in a different letter pfff after the LP they took spinal fluid my temperature went up and i felt worse.. is that normal?
