Conquest - New faction! Discovering the Yoroni

Welcome to Love & Wargames, the channel dedicated to spreading the love (of wargames) around the world!
Parabellum announced the new faction for Conquest, the Yoronis: Japanese-inspired daemon-spirits related to the Elemental Plane. As always with Conquest, they are highly linked to every faction and bring new gameplay and style!
Their specificity? They seem purpose-made for the players who were doubtful of jumping into Conquest. Less miniatures (but larger), lots of versatility and use of play, a very elite aspect that will make them very fun, and an art direction that should speak to many! I finally decided on this game. I have been thinking about it for a while, but I don't have much time, and engaging myself in yet another game may not be wise. But I looked at the newly updated Hundred Kingdoms, and I really like the changes, and the new men at arms are great too.

Time is a real issue - I know the problem of ‘too many games’. Conquest is brilliant but it does take a lot of time - because it is a game that really asks always for another game. It is that good that when you finish a full day of tournament you just want to play again, and that can leave little time for the rest. Real choice there.
About the 100 kingdoms I’m 100% with you, if there was no Dweghom factions I’d jump all-in on a horde of infantry and fight the monsters of the world. Love the design and the faction rework!

Uhm... No. They are not composed of brutes. They have rank and file human ashigaru and in general human troops.

Do they have human? I see they have a single unit of non-brutes that has been teased (the Shikigamis), but beyond that no sign of this. Where did you read/hear about it?

at the moment I don't really like this faction visually... It looks completely inconsistent with the others

well they are indeed different, but to me they do seem in line with the Sorcerer Kings (with whom they share a lot of lore)
