Sadly soon all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-(
In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025
on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime.!!!! NO fancy dance pricey parts NO high compression engine NO rebuilt /engine bearings! NO fancy dancey suspension long live the legend of the 318. Tony proved it, for very little money, alot of wisdom, ya gotta believe the 318 is the little engine that COULD and DID. NO ONE that sees this will ever doubt the 318 is a great engine, especially in the right hands! Tony did MOPAR proud- REALLY opened some eyes with this one. And yes, he treed him, but with 111 less cubes, less compression, BUT with nitrous, it was a fair handicap. And that Ford was definitely comin'- Andy got caught out the hole a little bit, but he was STILL flying! GREAT RACE!

My most anticipated race of the year, for sure. Way to go Uncle Tony. Make the most of what you have. With the knowledge part being the most of what you had. My first car was a 72 Hemi Orange Duster. Blacked out hood with orange strips going up the center. Black duster stripes going across the sides. A 318 with a manual 3 speed and a 3:23 8 3/4 rear end. My father thought the 318 would be a better engine for a beginner driver at 16. We bought the car in Kannapolis NC in 1976. But for my next 2 years in High School I slowly built that 318 up with help from my friends. 340 heads. Cam Dynamic cam. Headman headers. Edlebrok 4 bbl. intake. Carter 750 cam carb. Zoom clutch. I had the quickest car in school. Many stoplight races to earn the title. The town was full of really powerful cars. So I was far from the fastest in town. But that 318 held its own and earned me some coin on the weekend. I bought all the parts myself and worked many long hours to afford the car junkie habit. Great win for the lowly under estimated 318. Long live the 318. And Uncle Tony, remember “ we are old guys, we do stuff”. Thank you sir for your great channel.

I'm impressed by the confidence on display by UT. How many people would bet on the 318 Satellite against that hemi-head Ford? Even with the nitrous, UT appeared to be a serious underdog, but he showed us all what's what.

Never underestimate the "lowly" 318! I built one for my '73 Roadrunner when it was new and consistently blew the doors off 📴 cars with much bigger mills than mine many times. It was a BLAST back in the day! Wish I could find Mr. Peabody and his Wayback Machine!!!!!

That car made more of an impression on me as a teenager in 1987-88. That car was/is the epitome of Hotrodding in my brain lol

I love bottle rocket, reminds me of an old montana highway patrol car, though they had 440 pi motors. The color is even right. I am a die hard ford guy but there is something about a 70's fury. had a couple of buddies that had retired mhp 440 pi's headers and nos, frickin things would run 160 easily.

The first 60ft wins the race...especially in the 1/8th!!
Cut a very good light, car did what it was meant to do off the line, you always said that was your strategy! Now what happened in 2nd gear gotta find out what happened!
Reminds me of when I raced pretty much stock 3.91 geared 340 A bodies with my stock 440 B body with either 3.23's or 3.55 gearing..If the A body hooked and got the light and I spun and or slept on the light I ran them down by the 1/8th and it was bye bye 340 A body my 440 B body then walked them..Andy was getting you but didn't :)
Andy seems like a good guy, maybe he needs a 318 in that Ford!!
