  • Join us for a trip to the Middle Ages as we wander the streets of Fribourg.
It's a town that has a certain Gothic vibe with quaint houses, hills upon hills, historic bridges and mountains beyond sight.
We visited the St. Nicholas Cathedral which is one of Europe's great Gothic churches and it's over 700 years old!
Make sure you stay until the end of the video and watch us go up the 365 steps to see the breathtaking view from the 74m high church tower.
    Enjoy!

This was a wonderful tour of Fribourg! Thank you so much. I studied at the Conservatoire de Fribourg years ago and watching your lovely video made all these happy memories come flooding back. I felt your pain when you all toiled up those 300+ steps up the tower of the Cathedral of St. Nicholas. I recall that work out. You need lots of determination to get up those never ending stairs! The breath taking view on top makes it all worth while though. Enjoy all your videos so much. Love you and all your beautiful daughters! 💕, Kate

Ah, brought back memories, but I must say that I lived in Fribourg for two years and never went to the church but I do remember the spider web in the old city. Nice beautiful little town

I love this video. Fribourg holds a special place in my heart .... it was wonderful to walk through the streets again with you. About the spider web .... when I was there in the fall of 2003 there was a Parcours des Fees et des Lutins for the children. It was a lot of fun ....
I am not very savvy in uploading pictures on RUclips ... I will upload some to your Facebook page.
I thought it would add a little more 'backstory' to your video ..
Thanks for what you do ... it is great to see you creating so many experiences with your children as they grow up!

Thanks Tim! I'm sure it triggered many memories and brought you right back to 2003 when you were there. We're so glad you enjoyed the video. Did you visit any other cities while you were there? We created many different videos on Switzerland that you can enjoy!!!

Oh Thank you so much that was very exciting, a 900 year town and you went to top of the Church and the kids hardly got tired, i did something like that going up the statue of Liberty can't do that any more, i wait to you all come down.

Hi ! We just watched this video after our day trip to Fribourg and the amazing thing is that we actually went to all the same places as you guys. We too weren’t expecting to do so much walking but there was so much of the old town to discover that we kept on walking. Although we climbed the 365 church tower steps first luckily ! We also discovered Chemin de la tour des chat which my daughter was so excited about as she too is a crazy cat lady, and we even saw 1 cat ! Thanks for your great video which is now also a great souvenir for our family 😀
PS... the ladybug in the garden is now a beautiful porcupine 😂

That’s awesome! Sounds like you had a great time. Our Angelique would love the Chemin de la Tour des Chat as well. 😂😂😂

Why does your thumbnail show “visiting Fribourg in Germany” ? And Fribourg is not a village, it’s a city.

Thanks for catching this. We were just switching up some of our old thumbnails to be a new design and this one is obviously out of place.

No thank you. When the host of the video had the bridge at her back at 10:52, on the other side was a little round about I used to take to make a left and go right up that hill to my apartment. Memories.

Well actually I drove, but my wife who had to go downtown said that the bus system was excellent. Very easy and convenient. Actually down in the old city near the spider web there was a pathway I've walked for about a mile. I never reached the end of it fearing that I may walk to far and get lost.

That’s great! That’s what is so amazing in Switzerland is all the pathways you can walk on.
