I prefer Grand Overture because it doesn't need crits, whereas Thunderlord does
useful if there's no divinity on the team
and also, it just FEELS so good, the anticipation of the charge time, the heavy and weighty shots, the recoil breaking the guardian's shoulder, then releasing the x20 barrage of missiles, honestly it has to be one of the best guns in the game when it comes to power fantasy
yeah only other thing overture has over tlord seems to be burst damage, combine tlord with a damage super and you can potentially get 3 damage supers off in one phase
I know it's not the best but Thunderlord will always be my #1 LMG, it's just awesome to use and feels great.

Thunderlord is for general purpose whilst GO is a specialised tool.
honestly I thing GO is supposed to be fire general play, use the slugs to kill majors and minors and then use missiles on minibosses and bosses
Thunderlord is easily a 7.5/10 for dps minimum if not an 8.5 there is only two Exotics in the game that I'll DPS it in most situations thunderlord grand overture and leviathans breath of the highest damaging single weapons in the game at all three or 10 out of 10 brain dead easy to use
@SIGMA-52 I was looking through the lens of both sustained and burst dps together, which is why I rated thunderlords dps as is because we all know it ain't great for burst but is for sustained.

Parasite double slug actually goes hard. Especially with hunter dodge reload or rain of fire boots. Shoot X20 at boss, dodge to reload it, shoot your feet for 15% damage for 10 seconds then go nuts with double slugs

No and no
Thunderlord is a very valid dps option if you are a titan with actium war rig on a continuous dps phase. Will it be the best option around? No. But it is very easy to pull off decent damage option. For example if you have someone on DIV and you are trying to one phase Ir Yut, it is very easy since with actium war rig you can dump the entire 409 bullets without reloading.
its not valid, that comboo isnt even in the top 150 weapon combos in the game. Soource Aegis boss damage spreadsheet. Nor is that even that high as chicken tested search: (Switch) Cuirass of the Falling Star → Actium War Rig | Thunderlord vs AVAROKK 2.2 is not that competitive

Thunderlord will always be the noob ass gun. There never 1 time where it’d be better than rockets, gls, or linear based on the boss.
Imagine has a great video on thunderlord and why it’s just a mediocre gun that goofy streamers think are good
not goofy streamers, mainly casuals who get told by bad destiny build content creators or uninformed friends (the sandbox is large).

Guns have different use cases
