My heart skipped a beat. I remember my first time riding an FZR 600, with Vance and Hines pipe. (My ride was a Seca II, with stock exhaust).. I was used to hearing, the exhaust note, lowly, and quiet-ish, but all around. When I rode my friends FZR..... it was definitely an auditory orgasm, hearing this beast, behind and to my right. Hard to explain, but a great experience I never heard, while on the bike.)
As far as I know I may be the only dude to swap the 09' R6 rear suspension to this bike succesfully. I had San Jose Yamaha help me with the parts and fabbed everything else at my buddy and Dad's shops. The results were an FZR that handled so much better it was night and day.
I wanted one of them as my first bike but I got an RZ350 instead because it was so much cheaper. They couldn’t give the RZ’s away in 1988 so I got it new in the crate for 2K off the floor. Wish I still had it and an FZ!
Sounds brilliant and in brilliant condition 👍. I have a 1989 FZR 600 in black with a Vance and Hines slip on can. Are have a full system Vance and Hines exhaust. But have not put it on. There is two types of Vance and Hines exhaust which were made from 1989 when the supersports was first released. The standard supersports system. And the pro supersports system for racing with springs on the downpipes as well as the back part of the exhaust. I had the pro supersports system on my first 1989 FZR 600 that I owned in 1991 to 1992. Your dad has kept his FZR in almost new condition 👍.
IM game, I have a 1992 ssb. #5 VANCE AND HIENENES. Edition. Only 656 of this Edition was made. I want to rebuild it. it's been in Storage for a while. it's the 5th Bike 🏍 off production line and I want to bring it back to Life.
I sold one of them, about half a million kilometers from Switzerland. I bought it and sold it, and I don't know if it has problems or not. I sold it for about 654 dollars.
The yellow 1995s are still my favorite.

@@Threee_Eyez Nice shame you are going to sell it 🙄.
This eta built beautiful sports bikes with great lines. Unlike new sportbikes that look so angular and blitchy with parts that justbdo not floe

Awesome bike sounds like my 92 suzuki gsx600f we have the same exhaust how she do running with your kawasaki
Forget the exhaust… Where can I find a V&H PowerPak? I really like the solo seat cowl too…
Sounds great also I like that steering stabilizer. What brand is it?
Thanks! It's a TOBY steering stabilizer.

Love the sound! Where can you get a Vance and Hines system for an fzr600? I’ve been looking and can’t seem to find one. Cheers.
The exhaust is as old as the bike…I bought the exhaust soon after I got the bike in 1990. Only way to get one now is to find a used one.
You may be in luck!...I'm emptying my old stuff ...and I have a powerpak with it as well
Just picked up a 90’ fzr600 myself. Do you have any suggestions on where to look for parts?
Ebay is the only place I can find any I have a 97’
