Since the angle is based on the counterclockwise rotation of the vector, you have to add 180 degrees since the resulting angle is in the third quadrant.
You can't just add 12, 16, and 6. If you did you would get 34. You have to add 16 West + 6 West to get 22 West. Then you add the 12 East to the result. Since East is the opposite of west you simply subtract the 12 from the 22 and end up with 10.
THIS IS THE FIRST RUclips VIDEO I UNDERSTOOD
I know I'm super late to this but how did you get -0.97 and -5.66 for the Analytical Method example
adding all of the x components together gets -0.97, and adding all the y components gets -5.66
This is very useful but I don't understand the last part, where did you get the 180° and theta 260.3°?
Since the angle is based on the counterclockwise rotation of the vector, you have to add 180 degrees since the resulting angle is in the third quadrant.
UR VIDEOS AND LECTURES ARE AMAZING!
Thanks.
11:44 (sir why you did not use the negative sign?)
The negative sign in the tables are an indication of a westerly direction or a southerly direction.
thank you so much sir!
You're welcome.
Great ... nice lecture
This is very amazing but the I don't understand how did you get the 10 m E-W
and 13 m S-N
@ about 1:25
Call the west - and add it to the east (red #s on left). Call the south - and add it to the north (blue #s on left)
how did it become E-W 10m when you added 12, 16, and 6?
shoulndt it be 34m?
You can't just add 12, 16, and 6. If you did you would get 34. You have to add 16 West + 6 West to get 22 West. Then you add the 12 East to the result. Since East is the opposite of west you simply subtract the 12 from the 22 and end up with 10.
The whole point of vectors is that they have a direction and you must pay attention to the direction.
Also remember to use displacement
Hi could you please explain to me why x-comp of B is zero and y is -4.2? Thanks
Sin270• might be 0 so whole equation becomes zero, and cos 270 is 1 so 4.20km ×1 =4.20
Awesome ❤️
lost ya at 4:00
IT WAS VEREY NICE
Thanks a lot
Happy to help
thank you!!
You're welcome.
Useful.
Thank u so much sir
Love from India🤍❤️
Terrible explanation
Ouch.
