- My Secret Gold Spot Will NEVER Be Found
Ok look, there is a difference between being lazy and limited. There are a lot of people in this world fighting the good fight with their bodies. From injuries to illness and age to capability, you can bet if you are getting out there and giving it a go you have my admiration.
But then, there are the shovel doggers. The people who just want to take advantage of easy access spots that other people have found and worked for.
Well, I decided after our last spot was poached by a shovel dogger to go off the beaten track on an adventure to see if I could locate a decent gold deposit, far away from the nearest road or access point.
Using my @Garrett_metaldetectors super sluice gold pan and my @goldclaw3659 I managed to find a good gold deposit sitting in the alluvial gravels of reedy creek.

Who would win an argument about WW2 best tank?
Nigel Thornberry or Chucky from rug rats.
Pinky from pinky and the brain😂
Definitely Homer Simpson…
It seems u didn’t link the bucket classifier homey!
Hit that. Spot with your full arsenal of equipment great video
I seem to remember seeing chucky driving a tank and I dont have a clue who nigel thornberry is so my vote is chucky
Talk to big stack D, he’s an Aussie smelter on RUclips. He sells his furnaces and I’m sure he would do a collaborative video with you and help you learn to smelt better.
I'll look him up!
I’ll live for the day those two collab
Would be Awesome-sauce.. i watch BigStackD every Friday my time USA est...Which is 3am when he posts his vids).. only one issue Chris, he doesnt talk on his vids... wouldnt want to break protocol... but you should look him up mate... you are the panning god, BigStackD is the smelting god 👍😎❤️ (edit) although you would need a boatload of considerite to even use his furnace... get humping mate.. you need enough to fill a #8 crucible.... lol
I think Big Stacked and Jason from MBMM would make an amazing collaboration video for all three of you. A video like that might start a new tin rush in Australia
That would be dope!
Glad to see you going after the tin! Several years ago when I started watching your channel and you mentioned tin, my eyes instantly lit up, for having worked in the metal recycling business, I seen $$$. As well I like watching smelting experiments like Jason at MBMM.
I'm currently trying to locate a buyer.
We've got niche Renaissance and reenactment pewter casting clubs here in the States, i supply my local club with tested lead-free reclaimed pewter for $42/lb. They cast all sorts of amazing buttons, coins, buckles, figurines, ect., very creative and talented folk!
@VoGusProspecting might even be able to sell it on eBay. I actually bought a 10lb lot of Tin ingots from there, years ago. IIRC, the seller had sold hundreds of those 10lb lots before I bought mine. You could also probably sell some to us viewers - I'd probably buy a 1kg Vo-Gus Tin ingot if I could. Back in 2011 people said "copper is the new silver", but really Tin would be the "new silver" if anything.
Your fly right along finding great gold. Your enthusiasm is just awesome to see and watch. This challenge is fun for all of us to watch how much fun you are having.
Thanks so much!
We absolutely love your channels (and Gadsey's of course) great watching your 100 bucket challenge, hope you get an ounce. Keep up the videos thumbs up to everyone of them.
Over 8 grams in 20 buckets 🪣
@@VoGusProspecting didn't expect a reply, thank you. That's a nice amount of gold already at today's prices, just another 80 back breaking buckets to go. You need a bucket sponsor maybe you should mention it in your videos ;-)
Thanks Chris!
Any time!
Good video, Chris. Thanks.
Glad you liked it!
I love Australia.... Behind a screen lmao . That place, go out gold panning.. get bit by a Spider.. turn into spiderman lol but the people are great, mate! Baha !
Cool to see your prospecting doesn't stop at just gold! My ancient old buddy today asked me what Our area black sands consists of...Platinum, Silver, Iron & Tungsten i told him. Then i told him about an area of Rare Earth Minerals i know of that contains Iridium & those grey/black sands are worth as much as gold per pound Even unprossesed...im trying to get him a pick up truck bed full to drive to California to sell to a Japanese buyer, butt, i don't see him trying with me, all the young bucks out here are too lazy I've noticed
Enjoy your determination and every speck of gold you work so hard for.
Hard work, pretty gold. Worth it.
Your pans were valuable today, Chris! Since this area is farther away from those who constantly go down to prospect, I would make my plans based on this area. And, I would save all my tin, because that is as lucrative as the gold. I will say this, this was my first time seeing a tin string! 🧐😲 Thank you for sharing. Blessings from Alabama ❤️
The tin is amazing, which I'd considered it earlier.
Tin mining great idea ,I will be looking forward to seeing your video's.
Current spot price of tin in Aust dollars as of 3/5/24 is $47330 per ton, that's $47.33 a kilo.
So that’s $233 and change for 5 kilos right?
By my calculations it would be $236 and change
Yeah I stuffed up my maths teal bad
Great show, enjoying the. 100 bucket challenge
Getting there slowly 🐌 only a bunch of buckets to go
@@VoGusProspecting less then the other day
that un-named hardware store are getting dragged through a inquest due to they way they deal with flower producers and the way they are destroying smaller hardware stores…. Id be happy to see you goto a little mum n dad store n grab your buckets from them, their also more likely to sponsor you Chris
So why pay double for the same product even if it helps support a smaller business? The smaller business still gets the same discounts for bulk buying just wants to make it rich selling at double the price, and as for the flowers well if you're that stupid to think anything will come of it your wrong, Bunnings your unnamed company isn't as stupid as you think.
I really enjoy yr videos..I'm just getting started mining for gold..u have great content n good humor..yr definitely my favorite gold mining channel..thanks
Good job Dude....always interesting watching your videos....thank you for taking the time to show what you're doing and explaining it to us.....
Bucket 20!, flying along dude 😂🎉🎉
Brother. It's been hard work.
Chris the new Bunker Hunt of the Tin world !! Great vid mate
Loving the 100 bucket challenge. Wishing you luck.
Now that … most of the ice has melted here in Canada I can start prospecting again. I went out last weekend but the rivers and creeks still have 1-4 feet of ice on them.
Ice free rivers sound just like the ones we have here
Can’t wait to see the results of one hundred buckets!👍👍👍👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️
@VoGusProspecting where did you get your large classifier from? Looks like a decent heavy duty deep fryer basket
My thoughts for awhile have been that tin as a byproduct in the search for gold.Looks like the way to go,making gold the byprouct,win-win!
Lots of people did exactly this on Reedy Creek.
Old piping was sometimes made from tin. One way to identify tin when it is in pipe form is to bend it near your ear. If it crackles its tin. If it doesnt, its lead.
I love the 100 bucket challenge, such a fun series. I would love to try that myself someday.
Thank you for FINALLY doing something with that tin ore!
Chris that was another fantastic episode. We really enjoyed seeing you but bucket 20!👍😎🎩⚒️
Glad you enjoyed it, I've got a lot of buckets tongo
@@VoGusProspecting you got this! You will absolutely smash it! And I can’t wait to see it happen.👍😎🎩⚒️
Whee do you get the gold basket classifier from?
Great vid. I think I bumped myself out of premiere chat hah.
I did that too a few streams agom
Definitely ought to upgrade your furnace situation, it's rather unsafe to have a MAPP torch burning while laid on its side like that. Big fan though, keep up the good work, you'll get your 100 buckets 😎👌
Well, you were right about RUclips unsubscribing people I noticed they had unsubscribed me from your channel mate. I am back to being subscribed.
Those sneaky mo fos
Really enjoying the content mate, hope you are well .
Thanks, you too!
I'm getting into the hobby. Thanks for the education!
Good job👍⛏️
St Arnaud around the rubbish tip looks like nugget country!!
I know $10 worth of tin ore is not worth the time, but just not throwing it out while panning, is still just $10 extra in your pocket.
Also, if you were cleaning with tin as a 'primary' instead of a secondary, in all likelihood, you could pull in maybe $100 per day, assuming the volume of tin were resting in those same sands.
Go hard, mate. 100 buckets is a HUGE challenge good luck!
Well done on the gold Chris. Wondering if you were ever going to have a crack at the tin. That was cool. And it’s not a bad paying byproduct. Worth a bit more than the shottie pellets I get with the 6000 per kilo. 😁👍
‘It’s a free world…’ Ha ha ha, said Klaus Schwab…
You're free if you don't yield to an idiot
I learn something from you no matter what the video Is about. Thank you. ✌❤❤
I appreciate that
Tense your Abbs to stand back straight when you've been bending for a while.
as adults we tend not too and then funk our backs, the spine is only a support and not meant for bending and lifting. Hope this helps people 👍
I train every day, stretching, weights, sauna. Got to keep the body working
Where did you get that classifier? That thing is awesome!
I've always wondered why people discard the tin ore found in rivers. I initially thought it might be worthless
I simply didn't realise how easy it was to smelt
I have been watching some of your videos and mostly wishing us here in QLD could use high bankers to fossick for gold but we can not, But all good that is the law
But I have also been interested in the tin byproduct you have been getting, as I make my own fishing Jighead and sinkers out of scrap lead and I know you can substitute tin for the lead when casting the jigheads and sinkers and with tin being less toxic and more environmental I thought tin would be better, and we have a lot of old tin mines in my area I have been wondering how hard it would to get the tin out of the tin ore so I will watching to see how you go with the tin smelting mate
Wow that tin wire is insanely awesome!
That was an excellent day and Chris...you need to start leaving some of the useful stuff in the car...having said that you just said it was a long way from teh car so ignore that statement...unless you didnt have any other kit in the car either in which case...put it in the back anyway.....
Thats a pretty decent take of tin for a byproduct that is surprisingly easy to process....very impressed.
Tin! Finally. As a bronze caster, I'm here for it
Lots and lots of nice shiny I didn't know tin was that much and you Gold prospect money in the same place damn it man you're going to be rich😂❤
Rich no, able to afford tacos, yes
You definitely like finding bits of yellow caveman leggo 😂
I love lazy prospectors exactly for the reason that they leave hard spots alone 🙂
Its why I like big steep hills
Well not bad at all I missed the premier since it was at 3:00 am Arizona time usa and I was sleeping the math is a little off on the tin but $233 and change for 5 kilos is still good thanks for sharing see you on the next one👍🏼👊🏼
Next time it won't be at 3am. Had to experiment and see if night time was better. It wasn't.
@@VoGusProspecting must be most of your subscribers are USA then?😬🤩 we love our prospecting channels over here…
Alright, he said "a couple more buckets" after 20, but didn't say how many soooooooooo.....80 buckets from B^HUnnamed to go, 80 buckets to gooooo. You classify down, and pan it around, 80 more buckets from Unnamed to go.
That's some slow jazzy elevator music.
we know your pain my yabby user we call it our ace hole because ace hard ware is a wet dream of products, and no i dont work there . i want you to come to america, and show your talent on a brand new claim in ghoodgold new mexico , that would zoom you and i to the top
Loving the hundred bucket challenge, but I strongly urge you not to use mercury for any backyard recoveries/clean ups. It is not safe to use for the classic/artisanal methods of gold recovery, and might be illegal (it is in NSW).
Wow, I was wondering when you would start collecting all that tin. Hopefully, you have saved the cons from years of prospecting.
Why don't you set up a forge like Jason at MBMM. It's a simple setup.
Keep on keeping on, Chris. Peace out
Exactly what I'm doing mate, just git to get hold of all of the other bits and bobs
Long time viewer first time commentor lol dude your a smart guy I’d watch your tin smelting videos 😆😆
I appreciate that
Chris, is that bucket insert classifier available someplace, of did you make it yourself?
I am fascinated with the TIN you smelted. I have been wondering if it would be worth some while to process it. Apparently there is value to the Cassiterite.
There is lots of value in it.
@@VoGusProspecting You guys sure pan out enough of it!
Great video!
Panther, possibly
Big sheep
Gidday, where do we find one of those bucket classifiers that you show in this vid?
Hey, where do you get that classifier?
Comment? Need a classifier like one you got.
Future Tin Miner eh!
OMG i was just wondering about all that tin
bigstackd has furnaces for sale also has a youtube channel where he melts all sorts into ingots
The Russian T34. Cheap easy to prudence, and hard to kill.
But who would win the debate about it
not according to Ukraine
I would say the German Tiger tank was one of the best tanks in world war 2. The American tanks had to be behind it to destroy it and had to be extremely close
@@user-hp2um3jb3i from what Ive read they were like battleships on land with 10inch+ thick armour and hydraulic gun turrets, absolute beasts but tended to wear their gearboxes out really fast and become stranded
👍👍❗️
I came to figure out the sive
Stayed for the content (again) XD
I get sore knees personally😂
Chris if I was you I'd become a tin miner and the gold being the by product 😅
Hey Chris.. what is that classifier you are using??
So you are collecting flour gold and now you are also collecting the tin ore, is there anything else that you can collect to make money from?
Well apart from collecting your empty Dare bottles and water bottles for the 10 cents per drink container?
Mark from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺
The water
It's probably not legal, but theoretically there's a market for native plants
I volunteer as tribute to be a camera man. Pay me with dare iced coffees or Nippys iced honeycomb. 🤣
I'd love to see you scale up and become a tin mogul
Do you use Jet Dry or a different Safactorent when using your cleanup sluice.
Yeah, I use rinse aid
ok i was watching an old video about buying pans and such did you take those macro photos of the spiders you had on the back wall? i love taking macro photos of bugs and water drops you did great if it was you
I used to do it all the time. Love spiders, so they were my subjects. Unfortunately that hobby has fallen by the wayside
@@VoGusProspecting amazing photos!! i'm growing flowers right now to do water droplet refraction photos of flowers XD i'm taking photos of anything i can now i hope you can get back into it maybe during walks to prospecting you can find some buggies to photo
Sounds like a fella should really make sure he’s not painting off his tin.
The classifier link you posted, is not a link to the classifier you're using?

You should get ahold of Jason at MBMM about the smelting I’m sure he can help you get your smelting game going
I've had conversations with him, problem is he's on the other side of the world.
@@VoGusProspecting any idea on what it would cost to ship him a couple kilos of tin cons?
@@JohnClark1984 a lot
@@VoGusProspecting I guess if you ever get an actual price let us know I’d be down for contributing to shipping cost
