Really well done everyone! After the away team split up, the atmosphere got effectively creepier and creepier as each fear presented itself to the crew. A great resolution - we’re hopefully going to meet again - that’s a successful first contact in my books. I’m always so impressed by your films. LLAP!
“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.” -Frank Herbert
The aliens in this story reminds me of the Organians from the T.O.S. season one, episode twenty six Errand of Mercy... Thumbs up to all of you 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚!!!!
when I saw you uploaded a new video I watched immediately! I really love these potemkin episodes because they are truly made well! your bridge sets are excellent your outfits are excellent the acting is genuine and from the heart. and that Luna class is gorgeous the one that was floating downward? great work guys I can't wait to get through this one! I love it when people that are fans get together and they have their family all be a part of things just like the Star Trek family of fans do. take care of yourself! I'll be going to the hospital for quite a while tomorrow my recovery may take to up a month. so I will be missing these videos! they give me great comfort with the hardships I've been dealing lately with my health. I don't know if anyone has told you for a while, but these really make a difference. they really got me through a very hard time! I may lose everything, and I may be watching these on my phone somewhere in a shelter after I get out of the hospital, so tonight, the night before I go to the hospital, I will be enjoying these on my TV relaxing and getting into the world of star trek! thank you guys 🖖🏻
The models are available to all fans from folks who've done a great job creating them, allowing VFX creators (such as our own Ross Trowbridge) to bring them to life in our productions.
You can produce movie quality CGI & VFX with free software (like Blender) and a relatively cheap PC nowadays. Ship 3D models are often freely available or easily created with a little effort. And with the aid of generative AI you can create whole movie soundtracks, virtual filming sets or movie sequences, as well as voice narrations. A small indie film team with a consumer grade camera, a green screen, a few decent PCs and enough time can produce something that rivals professional studio productions of decades past.
"Periphery" is a labor of love FF that alternates between full cringe & peak sci-fi fun including notable characters & catchphrases (e.g. "It's always Klingons"), multiple ST/genre/cultural call-backs & moments of legit humor. "Periphery" is def not w/out faults, lots of them, but possesses enough sincerity & charm to justify a screening.
Enjoyable, but I did have to increase the playback speed to 1.25x so the pace suited the storyline, well at least for me. Good to see fans so enthusiastic for the older style Trek, I really liked the ship, rather than getting carried away with the most futuristic ships, uniforms, and special effects. Bravo.
Done by pure hearts. Some may tell it contains original sounds series mixed with more recent suits and stage...but i don't care! The story is so well done, played perfectly. What can i say? THANKS!!!
Someone else's labor of love is always worth checking out just because they were willing to try and that in and of itself is bravery and worth supporting
WOW this one's good. Acting's not bad, either.. they seem more like real people, going through real things, less like "actors." I've always loved that about good fan productions - no pretentiousness.
There's another TNG race where they elevate Barkley mentally to bring the Enterprise to them. The point is that in the real universe, you should encounter just as many "superior" lifeforms as there are "inferior" lifeforms. In Star Trek, there are more "inferior" civilizations than "superior" ones. This story works to correct that a bit.

Congrats Bobby Nash 😁👍 Interesting story 😊
Thanks.
Seeing a new video makes my Monday so much better. Thanks!
BTW, it's always the Klingons! :)
An interesting "First Contact" story. It seems these people have their own version of the "non-interference" or Prime Directive.
Well done all.
Interesting, despite there being no heavy action. Got to admire the fact that it kept me watching. You all did a great job and nice bridge👌
Nicely done show.❤🖖❤ thanks to everyone involved inits production,
another great episode, love the story, everything is so well put together

Good luck with the hospital stay, and thank you for the kind words about our productions!
I hope that everything went well during your hospital stay. 🙏
Great storyline, loved every minute of it.
This is a really well written story. It also amazes me that Fan Films have access to such great CGI, especially with the ships.

Very entertaining and very well done!! Kudos to all involved!
OOOH! A lead-in to the future series! And a very intriguing story, even if the Webster crew won't remember any of it.

It was well done including the ships. See you on the next adventure.
I love it. It's real Star Trek with the creativity of stepping back and being original as well. Loved it from the opening music.
Thanks so much!
I can't take my eyes off that beautiful main energiser.
So the captain retains knowledge of those beings that he's not supposed to remember? What are interesting premise.
Nice way to ratchet up the tension through to the climax.
one might think "encountering higher beings" stories would get old, but they really don't.
Good show! Reminds me of a Kirk episode!

Love this. It's True Trek.
Was more watchable than series one of TNG!

Good episode.
So, U.S.S. Sagittarius is left to drift in space?
It wasnt real. It was a simulcrum created by an alien race. When they left, the sim ceased to exist.
@@Potemkin1711 Ah, thank you for the clarification. Not sure how I missed that.
That one who becomes Latimer's Teacher there in the end reminds me of one of the first contact with the "Q"
