2016 Megabass New Release Fishing Lures Underwater

- Опубликовано: 8 янв 2025
- Here's some vivid underwater video of new Megabass lures featured at ICAST, specifically the i-LOUD prop/wake bait, MAGSLOWL swimbait, KANATA jerkbait, and Dog-X Diamante walking topwater.
1) i-LOUD: wired2.fish/Me...
2) MAGSLOWL: wired2.fish/Me...
3) KANATA: wired2.fish/Me...
4) Dog-X Diamante: wired2.fish/Me...
DISCLAIMER: You won't see any fish strikes in this video. There is a cameraman, camera and boat literally inches away from these baits. Hard to get a fish to bite with so much equipment next to a lure in ultra clear water. You will see what these baits look like when fished to the fish rather than just wondering what they look like sitting on the shelf.

They all look great, it amazes me that I can buy all these awesome lures and get out fished buy a cheap plastic worm 3 to 1 every time
So you're saying you suck at fishing?
Lol that’s not what he’s saying
@@collieer that's what he's saying.. and you can't compare stick worms to a swim bait or jerk bait.
@@Ryan-re1rs hes making point, you have no idea if he sucks or not.
Just like any sport, the fundamentals always win. All that fancy stuff is cool but sometimes you need to just throw on a worm. It’s crazy that even after all these years some of these lures just stand out.
I've had other BPM baits ruclips.net/user/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 before and they've pretty much always came through for me with the suskie smallies here and even with the walleye and pike, but I realized I didn't have an "in-between" pattern so this junebug one fills that role in no problem. it pairs up magnificently with a junebug Zoom Z-craw Jr that was trimmed a couple millimeters before the hook slots and rigged sideways for that fatter panfish side profile while still being a nice'n'compact presentation, a real power-finesse bait. Hell, it was so pretty I even bothered to fotosketch the pic into a watercolor painting image just to show you it's beauty! Even the blades are really well made, sure, they're not of Hildebrandt-level exquisiteness but look at the bead's reflection on the colorado blade, definitely well-made! The only "problem" spot it had was a bald spot in the skirt but it was nothing that I couldn't easily fix with a but of tuggin'n'shiftin' with the strands for a couple of seconds, besides that it is pretty minty!
You know what would be awesome? If you had side by side shots of what the lure action is doing in the water, and what the guy reeling the rod is doing!!
That's a good suggestion. We'll work on some of that for upcoming reviews! Thanks for watching!
not bad, the bite like real fish
Nick Hall i
Genius
Pro tip. While using a jerk bait dont reel it in. Leave slack in the line and only jerk it and leave it sit. What i mean by that is don't just reel it along. And dont let it have a swim motion in between jerk patterns. Thank me later
So amazing to see the fish underwater. Great video.
That was pretty cool. The swimbait looked awesome!
As for the 1.2 million folks who gabe this video a thumbs down. The underwater footage alone is worth a thumbs up
the katana is probably ridiculously good for pike. the clear magslow looks like a nice LM swimbait.
Youve got too much space between the rear prop and the split ring/tail of the bait, that's why the baits prop doesnt consistently spin.
Similar to a buzzbait
All of mine spin fine. Great bait!!!
The MAGSLOWL is the only thing that caught my eye in this video. I started bass fishing in the late 1980s & I think it looks absolutely AMAZING!
The MAGSLOWL looks perfect for deep sea fishing
The I-Loud looks like an absolutely phenomenal topwater. Really cool. The translucent Magslowl is one of the more realistic and appealing soft swimbaits that I've seen. That's to my human eyes, anyway. I like that the feathers give it a nice target for a strike.
The other two I'm not so sure about. The Kanata looks like a fine shallowish water jerkbait, but I'm pretty sure if I fished it the way it was presented in this video, I'd be reeling the thing in tail-first way too often. The Dog-X Diamante doesn't appear to do anything that a Spook or any of the hundred Spook copies already do. Nice finish, but when 3/4 of it is above the water, what's the point?
The guys at Megabass know a lot more about lure making than I do, but those are my thoughts after watching the demonstrations in this video.
Also, like the guy commented earlier, the names are getting stranger every cycle.
If you like the Magslowl, do yourself a favor and just look at Osprey swimbaits. Two 9+ pound bass in Southeastern PA in one day doesn't happen often, but it does on an Osprey. 3:16 Lure Company makes some decent ones too.
The magslowl is deadly during that period where it's not quite cold enough to drag a Hudd. Actually its great to use instead of a Hudd too.
Massive amount of fish hooked, well done lads!!!
good video. I subscribed. I liked the way you show the action and not just the lure.
Really nice action on that clear one bro
AWSOME video! Thanks for sharing!
Fantastic VID! I'm always wondering how the lure looks under water.
I like the stinger hook on top, snags less and catches just as many fish.
The tug is the drug!!! Fantastic!!!😎
The megabass Kanata jerkbait footage.. the Bluegill are all gathering around it like,"oooohh shiny and expensive" lol 😂
was I the only one waiting on a strike?
No, i thought this vid was gonna be about catching fish. Disappointing
It's like they were taking their lures out as we do with our pets, except that here it's pointless...won't buy them!
Meganowt ,bum- bo- clart
Love em wish I would have had them today and for next week's tournament trail I think the dish will go crazy for them I would give them the real test and leave all other tackle at home and fish just those no others allowed in the boat just to test and build confidence and that at this point is a no brainer. Thanks for info
Dishes will absolutely go crazy for these baits, the fish go even crazier!!!😜😜😜
these lures look amazing. any saltwater series similar to the magslowl?
They make them up to 10inches
beautifully shot...awesome...thumbs up
Thank you. We shot this so people could see what the lures look like in action instead of sitting on a shelf.
Man that MAGSLOWL swimbait is awesome!!!! Those would work killer for stripe bass in the CA delta.
Oh my...the iLoud 😍😍. I'd jump in the water for that if I saw it!
me too
Good video.
Glad you enjoyed it
can't wait to throw that kanata for bass pike and stripers and the 100% strike from those blues gonna slay
Superb lures❤️
Holly Shit the Transparent MAGSLOWL Looks Amazing
I could just see a big lake trout going after it.
it's supposed to look "amazing" that's what hooks the fishermen and not the fish.
plutoplatters true, but white clear lures work really well on pike.
idiot.... that lure would crush. if you dont think it would, go back to panfish and catch some bluegills. thats easy enough for people with no skillz.
any lure with that kind of movement would get fish. That's no different from a Rapala, Storm, Striking king. AV plug and the list goes on. I find Daiwa plugs work very well on pike and musky...for half the price of a rapala husky jerk. It used to cost a quarter of a price of a rapala. and now daiwa has increased the price. That's why i keep my mouth shut and not review the good stuff. It somehow co-relates to manufacturers jacking their prices.
Extremely natural and likin’ it!
I would keep it on top of the water.I wonder if its $30 for one lure or s small pack of them?
$12.99 for the 5-inch fully rigged to $24.99 for the 9-inch fully rigged.
That's where the magslow shines tho, slow and on the bottom in cold water. You can rig the treble on top too of you want
Awesome video.
can the iloud and gong be used in saltwater as well. fishing at mouth of a river to sea sort of thing and further up to freshwater/saltwater?
Absolutely, you'll deal with a little hook corrosion over time, so may want to switch over to saltwater hooks, but the lure will perform well.
The only fishing content i found reached 1.6 million views
What size was the Clear Magslowl swimbait you were showing, it looked like it had a better action than the one before it.
there is a bass in the background of the magsowl swimbait
is that an additional line tie placement on the underside of the magslowl towards the front to make it swim more horizontal? it sits at an angle in the water and looks kinda unnatural
does the new minkota ultrex head spin more than 360 degrees like a traditinal powerdrive or does it stop spinning at a 180 degree like a true cable drive
Great rods!
Is that a joke? Their rods are awful. Fish with a guy who sits there bragging about his Megabass rods, Megabass Zonda and Daiwa reels done by Hedgehog Studios and that Bandersnatch and Griffin he has are the two worst rods I've ever used over $300. Absolute garbage. Having to go to his rods from my St. Croixs is like going from a Ferrari to a Toyota. Hell, Cabela's Tournament ZX rods are better than his and they're Daiwa Tatula.
+Alki46D lol what the heck...this isn't even the right video I thought I put a comment on. My comment was in regards to a McCain rod I saw on here
LOL. You got swindled! Thought you were talking about Megabass rods. Ugh. Horrid.
I'm definitely gonna get a magslowl!
Very very intresting..
I'm from indonesia n so suprised with your this video
I haven't bought the Magslow yet, but I have the Magdraft and I am yet to catch a single fish with it to date. LOL. I fish salt, may be with Laremouths it would be different.
Excelente vídeo..!!!
Thanks Jose, kinda fun seeing what baits do underwater from fish's vantage point.
Hook need to be more close to the tail, since some fish always hit the tail first before taking the whole thing
Great video of underwater lures motion, especially the jerkbait.
I have one question not connected to the fishing, could You pass me the title of the second theme (in the background of the transparent magslowl and kanata)
I'm looking for the song too....
Thank you so much
looks good bro
It's almost as if people don't read the title of the video before they click it. Megabass makes some of the best baits on the market, and yea they are pricey but you get what you pay for. For example Senkos. There are lots of cheaper options but the gary yamamoto version has the best action Imo, and i have used many different versions of the bait, including my own hand poured versions.
Senko's I would understand...but looking at that lure...tell me what it does that a rapala, storm can't?
+Dilligaf?! ? Dont know exactly because i dont own it, but some company's use different materials and different sizes to make the bait look or sound different in the water. Bass have lateral lines that detect vibrations in the water, and even though some baits look very similar, can seem very different to a bass. For example, the ITO vision 110 jerkbait outfishes all of my other jerkbaits that look almost the same. Although its pretty delicate so i only use it when they're real finicky.
TheUnluckyFisherman I guess that makes sense. I fish for bass and I don't find them that finicky. I mostly use senkos, carolina, texas or wacky. Unless it's open water and i'm on a boat, then it's mostly cranks for me. Musky though, jointed plugs will outfish any other bait / lure.
+Dilligaf?! ? It depends on the areas you fish and how pressured the lakes are. A bass in California is not the same as a Bass in Ontario. I'm not saying either fish is "easier" to catch but some fish are smarter than others, especially the ones that see lots of baits. Do you ever find that there are certain baits you have that work better than others? Well those baits may look the same in the water to us but not to the fish. I customize a lot (if not all) of my baits in some way. Dyes, scissors, lighter, fishing line, hooks, etc. I just feel like if im fishing behind someone, and they throw a bait right outta the package, i might have a better chance at hooking something if i use one thats even slightly different. These are just things i notice while i'm fishing, and of course i wouldnt treat it as fact.
Although I've had luck with hard baits (especially chartreuse color, I've also had luck with crayfish color. However the MAGSLOLWL swim baits are deadly and will provoke more fish attacks than any. It simply looks like a shad swimming through the water.
D. Paul Riderman I'll still buy 4 big Joshy swimbaits locally made in ohio that have better action and get 4 for 9 dollars
@@xkillswitchx23 cool man.
I bit my phone 7 times while watching this video!!!
swims great... but will fish think its the terminator fish?
awesome fishing
Nice fishing lure
Looks nice but can it lure?
At 2:11 .......11 times out of 10 mine would snag on that guaranteed!!!!
However im instantly sold on that clear plastic swimbait thats the one!!!!
greetings from Morocco
Hello Luis, thanks for checking in with us!
if they could get that magslowl to hover stationary/neutral it would be even better. the clear one probably picks up the natural light great= looks deadly.
They're fantastic when it's not quite cold enough to drag a Hudd. Actually they work great as Hudd alternative too
Hey wired, can you put up a track list plez! really just need song name around 2:15 ish thanks! gr8 video!
Man there is alot going on here with that top water slash
wake bait slash
Prop bait slash
Square bill
But thats also how i felt initially about chatterbaits as well
an now
Throwing a chatterbait is one of my faves...
The Magslow looks like a Magdraft with a feathered treble hook....I get they are going for a more subtle action but a little more effort into a more unique profile would have been nice.
Hello Wire2fish, greetings from Peru. I have watched many videos in your channel and I like them a lot. I see you like Megabass lures as I do, but I use other models (Zonk 120, Marine Gang 140, X140, Halibut and others) , most of them for saltwater. I practice saltwater fishing more than freshwater, but someday I will go to fish to those USA rivers and lakes that you show in your fishing trips. I humbly invite you to watch one of my videos to see the style of fishing that I do here. Usually I use a 9'6" Medium Action rods + Van Staal reels + 20-30lb Braided lines + Japanese lures (DUO, Megabass, Daiwa) or one of my 100% Homemade lures. Well, thank you for sharing your videos, Antonio
Hi Antonio, we love learning about how other people fish from around the globe and will take you up on your offer. Saltwater fishing offers SO much to anglers, we're envious of your fishing opportunities. You're a lure and equipment connoisseur - yes, the Megabass lures are excellent, and we like the DUO and Daiwa product as well. We'll keep at the videos, let us know if you'd like to see anything in particular.
Hello Wire2fish, thanks for your reply!!! I love your shots , I hope some day do something similar, but i know very well my limitations...hahahhaha ... Let me know whenever you test some Daiwas or DUOs... I am addicted to them... let's keep in touch, and have a safe fishing....
even in clear lake CA where bass almost walks on lake banks, and even there still many bass lures are a waste...
so will these be the catchy ones, or us caught to spend and hardly get anywhere still...
i wish i had a lake near by that clear
Sweet lures. What are the song names? :)
Your face and moron
Terrific action! I assume bass pro carries these?
most definitely not the one in tacoma wa
I like to know where can I buy those news from I live in Honolulu I go Shoreline myself and I also go diving by myself but this video is awesome I want to see action so I need to buy or find out where I can pick up this fishing lures from and try use it myself
I like the soundtrack
Cool, yeah, we felt it was a good fit for the coolness of the lures featured.
Does anybody know about the second song I'm in love with it. If anybody knows please let me know
Hi, I'll look into this next week and drop a reply. Don't have all the music in front of me now - Ryan
Ok thank you :)

Hi Joe, here are the links from the RUclips video description. If you do give any a try, we'd appreciate hearing your thoughts. Good luck!

I need all of the songs
Cai Cimini me 2
That MagslowL looks awesome!
Shane Durrance it's an awesome swimbait and that color is really cool. It swims so nice at those slow speeds.
Wired2Fish y
I'm guessing that they are pulling these baits in water with absolutely no fish.
+TPHVICTIMS We filmed these with a pole cam right next to the boat, so all fish spook away. The intent of these vids is to show folks what lures look like and how they perform underwater.
I get it .glad you replied,I've fished for many years.and I have caught and released numerous fish.now I am trying to pick up where I left off.I need some help putting together some lures to target a specific fish in my area new jersey.the fish I am looking to target is weakfish,(speckled trout).I try to concentrate on the summer and fall run.the fall run having the larger fish.now that being said,I live in long branch,N.J.there is a huge market here for the tackle industry, now,do you think you MAY have something for me?I would appreciate your expert advise.oh by the by I am really struggling with my computer skills,It took me almost forever to figure out how to get back to you.WEAKFISH,N.J.is the key point.THANK YOU for your time,RON.
at 2:19 there is a bass that swims under the log
Did you ever find the second song
Thanks for the reminder. The artist is Gavin Harris and Nicholas Michael Hill, Album: MN143EDM Trap, Song: Late Session
Would any of these work for pike or big trout?
Yes, I've personally had good success for pike using the Magslowl and Kanata. Would strongly recommend both. Not experience with trout but would expect them to catch shallow water lakers, and the Kanata would definitely produce lake trout trolled with downriggers or 3-way rigs. -Ryan
Я больше всего ждал когдаж зацепит приманку
Does anybody know the song playlist... I'm dying to know every one of these songs, if you know the song please let me know
All of the songs are part of the FirstCom music library, VL-137 was the album for the first song, but other songs come from different albums there. Glad the music resonated, we get is fit their brand too.
Who names these? Wtf
Folks back in Japan headquarters
Was expecting to see fish caught
U know what they say
pretty flys catch more fisherman then fish
Sheldon Winter soldier true
Wow
Yup
I wonder if that boat has enough power?😂😂
Does it designed to catch anything?
It's for largemouth bass and other fish in freshwater
Those are no joke.... Yowza!
Nice video..... channel subcribed...
Fisherman porn and the proper music, too! Great video W2F!
+01bluebusa Ha ha, glad you like the video. Pretty baits in clear water!
01bluebusa hey so anybody knows where to get this lures?
01bluebusa
So, where are the strikes?
The strikes happen when you tie on the lure and fish it ; ). It's very difficult to get live strikes with camera right next to a lure with wary fish. The purpose of this video is to showcase what the lures look like underwater, kind of like trying on cloths to see if you like the look. The lure underwaters are intended to help viewers decided if a lure is a good fit for their fishing situation. Thanks for the watch.
How did hé film id
Seems you get hard time to pull this small fish.,
Mabel Ilumin seems me love you long time.
lures... ye... lures... do they catch bass where it's numbers are of normal abundance?
Shot of a fish biting or it didn't happen
i get all of them before icast 5 months ago from Japan
Where can we get them from ?
Hi Russell,
There's links to all the products in the video description. Tackle Warehouse is usually well stocked and competitively priced with these.
guess bass don't bite the cheap stuff, don't get me wrong megabass make work of art but at their price if I buy one I put it on a frame an mount it to the wall
I loud is a improved IMAKATSU DEVIL Ripper ZINGA
I look online and I took the time at bass pro shop and everywhere I found and bought the same thing for cheap
I just saw Smegols ring.
anyone else spot the bass cruising in the structure at 2:20?
This is pretty common for us when we're filming these lures boat side - we occasional get the underwater "easter egg" to show up. We use a Water Wolf HD (goo.gl/eRMmMk) to film actual live strikes or following fish.
Mega dancing lures!
going to be a favorite to the pike people out there.
where is your megabass
