This was the first model kit I ever built, I got it about 3 or 4 years ago for Christmas and my dad had been into models since he was very young because Him and my grandpa would build them together. I built the model about a year or so later when I was about 12-13 years old, my dad of course did a lot of the work but it was a fun experience for me, now models are pretty much all I do, I’m currently working on 3 models right now and ordered another this morning that should be here soon, it’s crazy to think how I went from this as my first model about 2 years ago to finishing about 2 models a week and enjoying the hobby very much. Keep up the great work !
Chris, That's an amazing story and we're very happy you have found this great hobby. Thanks for sharing! PS, please subscribe if you haven't already to help us reach more modelers. -Doug
Nice job. I built these muscle car kits in the early 70's and was an ace builder for a pre-teen. The more I see these now the more I'm loving it all over again. Later it became my trade, and I've done many high end restorations over the years. I'm gonna do a few more of these now just for kicks.
BL, Happy to have you rejoin the hobby. The newer kits are of better quality than the older molds and generally well engineered for assembly too. Enjoy! -Doug
These were being discounted out at my local Hob Lob. I snagged 10 of them. I kept two but the rest were parted out into my kit bash stash. The bodies were donated to the local slot track. I need to join those guys, looks like fun. I love the bug catcher on this kit, it's one piece. I'm going to use the blown hemi and the rolling stock on the Revell 32 Ford 5 window (fenderless!). Excellent video and great build. Between you, HPI Guy, and Dr Cranky a man could go BROKE! :))
BF, We try to promote the hobby and keep the economy rollin' so it sounds like it's working. You got a real score on those kits - they're nice kits, thanks! -Doug
I'm so glad Revell finally put out the 70 version of their charger. i'm sure this will be a popular kit. We now have a 2nd gen trilogy. I've already built Dom's charger from their 68 kit (with aftermarket grille), so i probably won't buy one for a F&F car, but i may need to build one for Ghost Rider's charger from Agents of Shield (it's actually a 69), and uses the same parts as Dom's charger. i can mix and match kits for better accuracy.
Bee - That's the beauty of what we do here. Showing how the model is built and letting folks know of any flaws enables them to do things their way! -Doug
Angel, If you look at this version of the review ruclips.net/video/BtrMYWXSMZc/видео.html that we posted with the instructions at the end you'll see the decal chart at 11:52. Those decals go into the hood louvers there. Thanks for watching and please subscribe if you haven't already to help us reach more modelers! -Doug
Ian, Are you talking about the leaf springs or shock absorbers? Either way you can make replacements with some Evergreen or Plastruc stock or simply order those parts from Revell as replacement parts on their website. -Doug
CM, They're a tight fit. Soak the tires in some hot water for 5 minutes to get them softer for the stretch! PS, please subscribe if you haven't already to help us reach more modelers. -Doug
DB, Tru Dat. It also has a slight warp. If your building this one check for warpage and take a little off the edges of the hood to allow for paint thickness! -Doug

That's a great idea! I had the same thoughts after seeing that fabulous Charger on the show. G' luck mate!
Nice!! Appreciate the tips

Thx! I did mine differently but this helped me a lot!

Are you the guy that talks in the tutorial? Just wondering. By the way I love all of your guises videos. You do a great job at what you do.
Bee - Yes, I do the narration for the videos and thanks for the compliment! -Doug
No thank YOU for doing a great job!

Dominic's a Fast & Furious legend, his engine bug catcher makes it roaring.
WC, I hear dat! - Doug
great job again R&R keep up good work.
Thanks - SC - We'll keep 'em coming!
Kool cant wait.
Fantástico.
Great car where do they sell it at
DW, You can still get these from HobbyLinc online or watch eBay! -Doug
Is hobbylinc a good place to but model car stuff? Is it reliable??
COD, I've never had any trouble with the online store Hobbylinc. Top notch IMHO! -Doug
@@RightOnReplicas they just canceled my order for not being in stock?
CoD, You must have been right on the bubble. You might have to go out on the net to order on now! -Doug
I have the model but it doesn’t show where to put the decal number 5 on the model can anyone tell me where does it go?

Yw.
kool
i messed up on the rear axle with the 2 things on it

The only thing that I would add to it would be spark plug wires.
Nice job
RW, plug wires are always a nice touch! - Doug
I'd rather have a STOCK '70 R/T with R/T door vents. A shame that's not available.
SS - That sounds good too! -Doug
Probably because it's not a real R/T
Anyone else have a hard time getting the rims in the tires

Its a 68 charger not a 1970 charger rt
ZJ, Yep it's a hybrid like only model magic can make. But Revell says it Dominic's 1970 Charger so maybe he customized it! -Doug
The hood doesn't fit very well.
DB, Tru Dat. It also has a slight warp. If your building this one check for warpage and take a little off the edges of the hood to allow for paint thickness! -Doug
The decal dash choice was so lazy of revell.
Mad - I suppose that's true but as in all models there are trade-offs. The good news; that creates a niche for the aftermarket folks to exploit! -Doug
