Hello Doug. Another Awesome Review and Build. I might not comment on every video but I watch every one sometimes 2-3-4 times as they are that good. Doug have a Happy Thanksgiving. Jeff
Love the colour combination especially two tone gold grill with chrome surround! Kudos on being adventurous with the colours, really sets off the car and makes it more buyable!
Link to aftermarket distributor, or similar please. Also do you know any good sites offering a variety of aftermarket parts for Revell or 1:24 scale car modelling?
AA, You can find most anything you want on Amazon or eBay. Missing Link and Model Car Garage are good sites and you get get some through online retailers like Megahobby or Hobbylinc! -Doug
TT, These are getting hard to find. Put in a search on eBay and be patient! PS, please subscribe if you haven't already to help us reach more modelers! -Doug
The Revell ‘70 Fast & Furious Charger kit is based off the Charger used in the race scene. I saw a RUclips video that talked about the burnout wheelie that, that car did. Found out that one was actually a ‘69 Charger with a ‘70 Charger front end. To make that one closer to the movie car, use parts from the ‘69 Charger kit, from Revell.
The under hood inner fenders are part of the unibody construction and Chrysler (like almost every manufacturer) painted the inner fenders and the firewall (down to about where it begins the transmission tunnel) the main body color, and the suspension parts and rear axle assembly would have been semi gloss black the underside of the car was grey primer colored unless they ordered a complete undercoat then it would be a mixture of gloss and semi gloss black to replicate the rubber based undercoat. The grille and inner part of the front bumper assembly (on the model, on the real car it would be part of the grille surround) would have been a dark argent flat, I would use Tamiya dark gunmetal with a flat clear top coat.
Hey Doug, hate to tell you this but you mounted the shifter backwards. I know because I owned a 70 Charger R/T back in 1978.That's the reason your consol didn't work.
...I built the Foose GTX ...recent near box stock build , gotta say ...some o these newer Revell kits are very nice , and go together well ...Thas one nice Charger there , thanx again
Doug, do you know if this kit uses the older revell 1969 dodge charger 85-2546 molds? It is just a re-boxing of the model master dodge charger but at a lower price. This car would be a great donor kit for a more "accurate" General Lee.
WH, From the mold marks copyright this is the new mold borrowed from the 2016 release of the F&F kit. I see nothing from the old molds here. And yes, using this rear panel this would make for an awesome General Lee! -Doug
Nice build. Couple things, a console was available for both 4-speeds and autos. Also the bell housing should be painted the same color as the engine for a 4-speed. I own a 1:1 scale R/T. The grille should be black, no highlights, except for the very outer surround, hard for me to explain, best to Google it.
Looks good. But Revell used red line tires which are not correct for a 70 Charger. They were from 69. They should have used Goodyear Polyglas GT raised white letter tires.
they are bare plastic, looks like short shot and they were the only set. I puttied them and they are fine. I just got another kit and they are the same second set I just sprayed straight tamiya xf-1 black, it shows but not bad
looks like S S. I dab a putty and sand, not really a problem. I got a second kit and they were not as bad, but still dimpled, I shot them w tam xf-1 and they look ok with no work. now the exaughst tips just plain SUCK!!! on this kit. other than that and only 1 wheel options , this kit is a dream.

Nice build Doug. But in the interior shot at 5:23 the shifter is backwards.
Chris Smith CS , thanks eagle eye. -Doug
Were there any fit issues with this kit? With that red stripe decal, I'm considering ordering one.
I think white w/ red stripe would look pretty cool.
BBM, Red on white is always a good choice. Any issues are addressed in the review! -Doug
@@RightOnReplicas Ok, thanks. Just ordered one.
Awesome ! Build Doug
charles palavros Tha ks CP!
What grit of sandpaper do you use for wet sanding? Thanks! Drew
Drew, Generally 600 grit. Gets flash and if used with a soft touch it's good for overall sanding too! -Doug
Right On Replicas thanks Doug!
Wish I could find this kit.

Engine, not motor. Motors are electric. Sorry, pet peeve of mine. Otherwise, great review. Thanks.

needs a polish, but it looks great!
CBB, thanks! -Doug
Can you do the 1966 chevelle by Lindbergh
*Lindberg
TD, I'm not familiar with that kit. We did the '66 Chevelle Wagon kit. It's in the street and Customs Playlist. -Doug
It’s the Lindberg line model
Look it up and it should be the one with the palm tree background and the Chevelle is blue
203, OK - If I run across one I'll review it! -Doug
Hope this gets reissued next year, HTF it now.
40, us too but dont hold your breath! -Doug

My valve covers have big dimples on each end. anyone else have this?
AK, does it look they were actually molded that way or are they short shots! Were they chrome plated? Were they the only set in the kit? -Doug

Now that's a original Charger, it was Fast & Furious Dominic's Charger street rod and Fast 8's Ice Charger.
WC, yes it was first released as Dominic's Charger. -Doug
shifter is on backwards
Thanks Jim! -Doug
