Just got my SAS, love it, so comfortable in the hand, just exquisite. The versatility within this instrument is really wide and varied as well, awesome overall guitar
Nice tones from this guitar ! Great demo, this is the first I find with with a complete bunch of sounds from clean to lead! Nice pick attack, articulate but warm! Thanks, I want one ! 🙂
to address the string height issue I had to add a bit more back bow to the truss rod just a little at a time until you get a good string height for you. Sounds good. I got the sunburst color to see the wood grain more. Thank you for the demo.
Just got a sunburst for Christmas. Great out of the box. Love the versatility and tone. Just need to get used to playing around the middle pickup. Have other guitars can't put this one down
I just bought one myself and the bridge is high just like you said and it’s kinda cheap looking haven’t had a chance to see if I can swap it out yet thx for your info
Hi, thanks for the review, very accurate! A question about the color of the body: until 3:57 it seems to be a very deep blue, while after 3:58 it appears green. Is it a changing color, according to the light of the room?
It's just the lighting in the room. In the beginning when it's just in the floor, I'm blocking the floor and it's just the room lighting. When I switch to the playing position you're starting to get some natural light into the guitar and I think that's bringing more of the yellow tone in the green out.
You got a wicked copy.. re: wood grain. Im kinda looking at one of these pergaps to replace my se custom. Same humbucking pickups yet with more single coil versatility. Is it much different otherwise ? I dont need 24 frets either.
The feel will be similar, but body wood, neck/ fretboard wood, construction type (bolt on vs set neck) are all different. You're right that the pickups are the same, though.
Order a Free-Way / 6-way switch bro. it will fit in the 3-way toggle hole, but add 3 more selections, for a total of 6 (12+ more maybe wen incorporating the push-pull) pick-up / tone combinations. ( the one i got came with flamed wood, i didn’t kno swamp ash could come figured - wuz a gud birfDay). - KillR grain on yours! 🤘 looks fantastic.
Thanks for the video! Brought one home last night, and while i like the tonal range, the sustain is terrible - like none at all. Did u find this to be true with yours? What can i do to change this? (Had a Prs se custom 22 semi-hollow with same 58/15s pickups and sustain was amazing! Quibbles: sharp bridge saddle on low E string affects palm muting Some sharp frets. May have to return if icannot gain sustain.
This one is sustaining well - I even tried to show that in the sound demos, letting the notes ring out. Maybe a fret issue? I agree on the fret sharpness - there's tons of fret sprout. But that's not too difficult to fix.
Swamp ash is cool but did they have to make guitar in only brightly colored extreme variants? (in my opinion) Why not combine ash with classic bursts. Ash is awesome but geez these things are garish to look at.

Great to hear!
Thanks for the video. Nice cutting Lead tones to stand out in any Mix!

Excellent review Thank you. I have one on backorder through Sweetwater. My sales rep is waiting for one with a great looking wood grain pattern.

Great tone. Would like to know your signal chain for this recording.
I'm running through my quad cortex. It's my Kraken Rig preset - it's on the Cortex Cloud acct.
@@davlavmusic7070 thanks!
Oh my god… that core swamp was is breath taking
PRS really makes a beautiful guitar
Yeah, I owned that for over 15 years. I kick myself for selling it...
I REALLY like the Natural colored one but this Aqua/Teal/Blue one is a VERY close 2nd.

Couldn’t you shim the neck also to get your action closer to what you want?
That guitar looks amazing, but I would love to see a black headstock with rosewood fret board.
The SAS is always a maple board, I think. Check out the new SE CE24. I think that's what you're looking for.

Thanks. I just looked and you’re right. The one I saw was turquoise, it’s beautiful, especially cus the cutout is natural wood.
Between this and the prs SE CE 24, which would you recommend for high gain playing?
They have the same humbucker pickups, so the tone will be pretty similar. I prefer the maple fretboard on the SAS.

Completely agree. I wish they would do the finishes from the SE CE 24.
Shim the neck a bit towards lower action ?
Maybe. I was just borrowing it so I didn't feel that stupid be OK. 😄
is the maple neck finished or unfinished? how would you clean it?
It's a satin finish. I think you just clean it with a dry rag- it's not like a rosewood fretboard where you'd use a liquid to hydrate/ clean
Bought one they suck
