- Here's a great video presented by nick stanning of tbt tuning.
It shows how to strip and fit his drop in tuning kit and short stroke extension to a tx200 and prosport.

I've just had your basic £25-quid tuning kit fitted into my .22 Air arms Pro Sport and I must tell you it has been a terrific result. The rifle is a consistant full-power 11.5 ft/lbs and sweet as a nut to cock and shoot with. A good friend did the work for me and I cannot be happier with my rifle. Thank you for an amazingly well thought-out drop-in kit. I'd recommend having this kit fitted to any Pro Sport owner's guns.
Just fitted a full drop in kit to my HW97 , shot 20 pellets through the chrony , bang on 11.2 to 11.5 , the first 15 shots with jsb 8.44 grain ,, sounds slightly louder with what appears a quicker lock time , the best bit,,, put a pellet or two on the top of the gun and fired it twice , and pellet moved about 1 to 2 mm but did not fall off the gun ,, have not shot any targets yet as it was dark outside by the time I finished , but took me an hr to take to pieces clean polish the piston , lube and put back togeather , and that’s the first ever time I’ve taken a spring gun to pieces ,, will appear very soon on my RUclips channel ,, thanks very much shaneweightman
👍🏻
Great video. I've fitted a short stroke extension kit to both my HW98 and TX200. It's transformed both if them!
I’ve got to say, this is the best instruction I’ve seen. Thank You 🙏
One thing that I would add is to make sure the parts are cleaned before assembly. My kit was pretty dusty from manufacture (white dust so easily visible if fitted without a clean) and every part needed a good clean.
Also, the washers had burrs all around them that needed to be chamfered off.
I also flattened off and polished the mainspring and washers but I guess that’s personal preference.
And it has to be said, it’s a brilliant tune and quietened my TX200HC down no end. No more annoying spring noise. 👍
Very nice, informative video. Great explanation for how to upgrade / tune your TX200. Thanks.
love how easy the AA TX and PS are to work on .my HW97 is an easy gun to work in but TX and PS are sublimely so much easier ,and beautiful rifles also .thanks nick ,my TbT kit in my 97 working beautifully (guide set and short stroke)
Great video can’t wait to fit my tuning kit now. Cheers.
Really great video helped me loads...Thank you !!!!!!!
Hi
Thank you for your video 👏
May I aske you about
Measure of the Top hat of the spring.please?
There are so many tune up kits available from TBT, Tony Leach, Welsh Willy, etc etc. Which one do I choose??🤨🤔
Replacing OEM metal parts with nylon aftermarket parts on a gun that is a class leader out of the box, what could possibly go wrong
The issue is that the stock AA spring guide and piston weight etc EG are a 'one size fits all' that is why so many choose aftermarket parts that are 'ready sized' . also the stock AA tx/ps piston seal tends to harden over time becoming less efficient thus why again many prefer an aftermarket parachute type. The AA mk3 main spring mated to a longer piston stroke means for some a slower shot cycle again that they don't like very much which again is corrected with aftermarket parts. I've only ever used vmach parts and never had a failure.
Well said fella 🙏
@@alarmactionukalarmactionuk893 This rifle does not need any tune up. I think Air Arms knows all about weight and balance heat expansion. Weight is actually stabilizing in a spring rifle. As for the Bearings o rings and piston seals these are all available from Air Arms. I've just bought a set of OEM for my Pro Sport. I cant see anything wrong with the standard shot cycle. If Air Arms designed it that way that's the way its staying. Cant see any gain here. One size fits all? or they all fit perfectly is another way to say that. I think this is just high jacking the service interval. Replacement OEM parts from Air arms everyday on this rifle.
Good vid though. I'm sure your kit is OK, but who wants an Air Arms without Air Arms internals? not me.
what difference does it make ... anyone got proof its better?
I’ve just had my kit delivered and the rear guide is in two parts. It’s shown like this on the photo on the website. The one in this video is all in one.
Why are they supplied in two now?
Omega seamaster?
Im wearing one so is Terry Doe
excellent mate
Saludos
