Forgive me if I am presumptuous here: “IF” you have not already, please consider going to Adoration of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament (also known as “Holy Hour”). Call your local parish and find out when they offer it. Then, just go and sit in silence in Christ’s Presence. Take your bible. Read scripture, pray, contemplate. Tell the Lord of your search for truth, of your doubts, worries, even fears. Then, be as patient with Him as He has been with you. When you receive the grace to know that HE IS THERE, you will be forever changed. Miracles occur in Christ’s presence - of that I can personally attest.

I've heard this from other people too. I'm a cradle Catholic and all I've ever known or seen, is Baptism first. Then reconciliation then first communion at age 7 or 8. 9th grade we made our Confirmations. I'm 55 now. I did sponsor my nephew for his confirmation in a different diocese, and he was 10. But he did make his first reconciliation and first communion at 7. That threw me a bit. But yes, you don't need to be confirmed before taking first communion.

There are facilitators like you across the world both laity and priests who are making it possible for witnessing to the saving grace and love of God. God bless you in all you are doing. ✝️

When you gift your neighbor the book, even though it's a book for young children, please remind him that as long as there is breath in our lungs God has a purpose for us. I can quite understand and agree with what she is saying.
I would asked the kids l taught our faith to, when we had meetings at the school's gym. I'd ask them to put there jackets on the bench. They still threw their jackets on the floor. But l would not even get the support of the other teachers as if it wasn't important.
Instructors need to emphasize and appreciate the need to live the standards expected of each one of us as Christians. That is why kids cannot associate discipline with obedience to God.
Our lives aught to depict our Faith. "If we must be perfect as our Heavenly Father is perfect" lt must begin with our behaviors. Respect, honor and discipline especially starts in 'Our Mindsets!!!"

Stop allowing your feelings to control you. Matthew 16: 24-25" 24Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. 25For whoever wants to save their life f will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it. "
The picture of taking up ones cross essentially means taking up ones pain and suffering, since that is what the cross represents and not living by ones emotions or emotional experience but living by Faith in Christ the Lord.

57:34 Very well spoken and engaging guest. (Noticed slight trace of Polish accent!)
I can identify with her education experience having attended Catholic schools in the 60s. We learned morality, but not the grace of God and I also drifted but rather into new age for a time. But then a friend who i knew as a semi believer like me told me how he was saved (born again) and his life was totally changed and new. That made me very curious but first I had to understand the gospel and what Jesus has done for me. Fortunately I found a program to listen to that explained the gospel in a thorough way (Discover the Word). That was a revelation and then one night I found myself under conviction of Holy Spirit and I repented and offered my life to the Lord. Sadly, just going to a sacrament of penance doesn't get one born again. Yes I know it will make one feel great relief but not saved because the gospel is not presented or explained for as St James says we must " receive the engrafted word (gospel) which is able to save your souls" (Jms 1:21b)
I feel sorry that no one ever presented the Gospel to Isabella and I know she is doing her best to be fathful without the understanding of what it means to trust in Jesus and receive the new life of God and the guarantee of salvation. I will pray.

I'm from Slovakia and a cradle Catholic and this was similar for me, growing up the faith was presented to me more as a set of morals and truths but even though we actually did learn about grace in Catechism (we were taught Catechism more or less based on Thomas Aquinas and grace is a great part of that) I guess it was never explained to me in a way that I would understand much less experience the love of God and His grace. Either in the family or school or the church, it was never really conveyed to me.
The difference is, I experienced it later and it was in the context of Catholic faith (on a retreat initially, after my first general confession), by a sovereign move of God- I had an encounter with Him that I totally didn't expect.
And because I was also taught that the Catholic Church is the true Church I never was tempted to leave the Catholic faith. If I experienced my adult (17yrs) conversion experience in a non Catholic setting I would probably also have considered leaving Catholicism, as many other people do. Although, given the strong emphasis in my upbringing that Catholic faith is the only true one, maybe that wouldn't be the case. It's interesting how God leads each person differently. I had to later adjust my anti-protestant prejudices and now I love to fellowship with Protestant Christians because sometimes their way of living the faith is so inspiring I'm really learning much there. But still remaining firmly Catholic, that won't change because I have explored the foundations of my faith thoroughly and I can't ever leave.. if not for anything else then for the Eucharist. I would miss Jesus in it so much.

As stated throughout history, the fullness of the faith is with the 1 Catholic and Apostolic church instituted by Jesus.
While 40k protestant denominations only have 'Some of the truths'.
By speaking about the sacrament of confession this way, it is sad... I pray people to truly learn and research it more , the doctrines of the true church, the compiler of the complete bible and the authority to interpret it, teachings and traditions of the disciples of Jesus thru the church Fathers, and not feelings and misinterpreted scriptures by a variety of denoms/pastors (bec even the devil have preternatural powers that could heal us, make us feel good and holy only to lead us away from the Real presence in the Holy Eucharist in His church, the mystical body of Jesus.
Seek truth with an open mind and heart and you shall find.
      God bless you❤

@@barborazajacova7633 Beautiful comment. It shows even more that in our institution we have forgotten about content for children. We have beautiful principles, but we haven't found a way to teach them to little ones in an age approproate way that will stay with them for life. This is where Catholic artists have to step up and create materials that the church can use in a way that will engage children.

Don't worry about the sacrilege as a SIN. Sin requires knowledge and you had none. Don't rely on the RCIA for education, they can do a good job, but sometimes is a jump start program at best. 1. Invest serious ongoing time in relationship development with the Lord. A) Set a fixed time and Read one chapter in the bible a day. Beginning point? It is not a time sequenced book. Starting with the Psalms or the Acts of the Apostles and then going through to the end of Revelation. B])Invest in the DVD program by Scott Hahn and Mr. Cavins [Our Fathers Plan] ... watch one of the sessions a week. C) Always ask the Lord to guide you in learning what HE wants you to learn and in the sequence He wants. D) Ongoing study is a source of soul food. E) Keep receiving the sacraments and in a worthy manner. ... Thank you for the witness. God bless you and yours. [Do a morning offering ... go into consecration to Mary ... she is absolutely amazing in personal development.

I will continue this every day of my life - one chapter a day. My main intention for the RCIA is to finally be able to receive the Eucharist. But when I finish the program, I plan to continue my studies exactly as you say. And thank you for the reminder that sin requires knowledge. God Bless you and yours 🙏🏼

As a meagerly trained Protestant who was pulled into the strange Catholic environment by the Holy Spirit ... the significance of His direction was an enigma. Our guardian angels fall in the lowest rank. [But what a wonderful service they can perform if solicited!] While running Catholic home study forums [3 weeks per topic then 1 week break] for the Apostolate for Family Consecration my wife and I used the book 'Beyond Space' from Tan Books. It's a great read. On a much different topic, there are groups around who will lay their hands on you to pray for your intentions. They may seem wonderful people and likely are well intentioned ... but they are usually spiritually ignorant ... big time! There is a great difference between praying FOR you and praying OVER you.
