I am originally from Iran (living in US) watching this . Thank you Daniel and Noam for this great conversation and bringing awareness about the Israeli society during this time of genocide.
I don’t see how anyone who hates what Israel is doing could be anti-Semitic. There are so many wonderful Jewish people leading this struggle

I don't think "there is any long term" to this. No matter how we would like to feel about this genocide, but I think global power players got what they wanted - land free of Palestinians, natural gas, billions of dollars of investment to build the corridor through Gaza. Everything else that we might say about the "day after" scenario, or "when war would be over" or "ultimately there would be ceasefire"but Gaza is finished. You say that "Israel would never be the same" I think Gaza has fundamentally changed. Population has practically been kicked out, global South doesn't have much power and power elites got what they wanted

Oh I feel so bad Noam. I felt alone and I’m an Arab living in LA. and poor Noam being a very small minority in Israel and they can’t post n share or they’ll probably get arrested. And to be surrounded w people w no humanity. Even the good ones agree they don’t like the govt but still many of them no sympathy for Palestinians. I can’t imagine how lonely she must feel 💔

Oh god ! I born in a muslin family , raised and grew up in iran with Iranian jewish neighbours around , went to public schools with jewish and Zoroastrian classmates, played football with bare foots in streets ,alleys and school yards together without even a bit resentments towards each other, occasionally secretly of parents we partied together too . Very sweet memories , Now after listening to Noam tears, come to my eyes, that my people have been discriminated and victimized by Israeli Zionism. Our hearts go out to you , we love you in Iran, we had jewish family, kind neighbour , we shared cookies in nouroz , my grandmother was praising the family for being so close to god and we were listening to their mystical chants which sometimes went all night long. She said birds who were almost living in our yard’s mulberry tree and sang all night long , sleep occasionally but our neighbor doesn’t , busy praising god ! We Iranian ordinaries love you , and share your pain and your grief , it’s a wild world ! Missed all those days full of love and innocence ❤

Watching this interview I feel like Noam is my sister and was moved to tears by her words and sincerity. I wish that the false distinctions and supremacist ideologies that create an artificial barrier between people will fall and one day soon we’ll all be together as brothers and sisters, united and free in Palestine. “Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God”. Most of the time I have been feeling very angry, even when doing the dishes and laundry.
Your conversation is so helpful in balancing the realities we face. The oppressive power crushing us is like a dragon breathing fire over the world. Daniel, my father is from Ireland and I’ve been there several times. You will love it there and the Irish will love you! My cousin in Belfast educated me on Palestine years ago. The Irish have always been fiercely supportive of Palestinian liberation.

Agree with Noam Schuster-Eliassi, there absolutely needs to have a dialogue, however, when anyone is within a Traumatic event....,living through this,daily....I would imagine that it might be, difficult to have a disengaged perspective....
It's our Leaders, that must have this ,Quality
