In my opinion, with the addition of Shantae it would be the best, given that the title of the game is called River City Girls 2 and I love her because she's too beautiful and cute.
Check the earlier video, Way forward had a April fools joke a Jammy & Bimmy, which pissed off Jimmy, and announced that they are coming back to the streets!
I noticed a remixed Double Dragon 2 NES title screen song, also intregrating them in the story... heck yeah!!! Man... I should get both River City Girls at some point once I get some stuff solved.
Awesome! The two legends return from OG Double Dragon games Billy and Jimmy Lee. I was playing original two games on the NES and also rewatched the 90s movie not too long ago either. It may not be a good movie but the nostalgia in me remembered it. It's a fun movie that shouldn't be taken too seriously much like the Van Damme Street Fighter movie.
I am so excited for this. Double Dragon was one of the first if not THE first brawler I ever played. Oh if there was some way for WayForward to work with Arc Systems and Rare to make a new Battletoads & Double Dragon, I'd be super pleased - but not like that would ever happen, just saying it out loud.

So judging by the cutscene, they join the fight once they catch wind of it....yeah, that tracks! Now, I'm just realizing that with Jimmy and Billy joining that means we've got a gender equal ensemble cast now: Boys: Kunio, Riki, Billy and Jimmy! Girls: Misako, Kyoko, Provie and Marian!
I wonder if the Japanese VAs are Kazuyuki Okitsu as Billy and Takehito Koyasu as Jimmy, like what Double Dragon Revive confirmed. I ask because Yuki Onodera voices Abobo in both RCG 2 and DD Revive
didn't notice this until now, Marian in the title art for the Double Dragon DLC is glaring at the Lee brothers lol...but yeah I know it was to remain consistent with Wayforwards Double Dragon Neon (given Skullmageddon is still around I hope he has special dialogue for the Lee brothers) but yeah I think the Double Dragon Neon look is probably my favourite interpretation of the Lee Brothers lol

@@ThelessClaude Yeah, they had to rework how colors are assigned for character sprites to get it to work. It's awesome how much they're putting into this dlc/update.
fun fact: according to their bios in the japanese version of crash and the boys street challenge, billy is the better gamer of the 2. fitting how danny’s playing him, i guess. also, i just imagined the game grumps theme but insteadit goes “hey i’m lee, i’m also lee, and we’re the lee bros”

They're seen as too important for dlc add-ons. If they get green-lit for a RCG3, they want to have Hasebe and Mami be central characters to its story.

all playable characters will be getting 4 alternate color palettes when the dlc releases. It's part of the free update.
