    That XR has some of the best suspension around for this type of riding.
    King of the trail bikes...

    I am envious that you can get out cutting already. We have a couple of more weeks before we can start down here in Colorado and then early June we will be up your way to help.

    Scrolled forward to both see and hear the XR600. There was much scrolling so that XR wasn't holding him back.

      @@OffRoadRider15f title of video has XR600 in it. Video filmed from a KTM 300 so the XR was not the primary character unfortunately. Also, the XR rider stayed ahead of you most of the video so the bike wasn't an issue for him on this trail.

      I’ll see if Kevin is ready to ride the big XR again?

    This looks awesome. How long does this trail go for, is this public land to use as you wish? Very lucky to have these cool trails to use on your bikes. Do you ever come across any bears or wild dangerous animals at all? Looks like you have done a great job clearing the trail. Thanks from New Zealand 👍

    • @OffRoadRider15f
      @OffRoadRider15f  5 месяцев назад

      It’s about four miles? Then intersects another longer trail.
      Designated motorized multiple use trails on public land. Shared use with hikers, Equestrians, Mountain Biker’s…Responsible rider’s Tread Lightly.
      I’ve ridden this area with New Zealand Hunting guide, Brent Moody. Yes I come across wildlife frequently on my ride’s in the Desert and Mountains. Wolves, Bears, Foxes, Coyotes, Moose, Elk, Deer, Pronghorn’s, Wild Horses, Mountian Lion, Bald Eagles, Mountain Goat’s, Mountain Sheep…

      @@OffRoadRider15f Thanks for the reply, looks amazing, beautiful scenery to ride. I like what your doing, looking after the trail and promoting other riders to look after it👍, it only takes a few to ruin it for everyone. Unfortunately some back country trails here in NZ have been shut off to motorcyclists for that reason, I suspect it would be the same over with you.... I've subbed to your channel, would love to get back over to the USA one day and do some more riding over there. Last time I was there was 2008, its a beautiful country. Thanks for the footage and your promotion to others. Keep up the good work 👍

    you run you map switch on low? Love your vids, imformative as hell! Save the trails!

    • @OffRoadRider15f
      @OffRoadRider15f  3 года назад +2

      No map switch. I have had them on previous bike's. Never noticed a difference significant enough for me to use the switch.
      My bike has a linear power band. I've ridden other bike's with more torque and then go flat on top.
      Also bike's using the stiffer exhaust valve spring, creating a softer hit off the bottom. I don’t care for creating a explosive hit higher in the RPM.
      I prefer the soft exhaust valve spring and the power being predictable. I can manage predictable power with gear selection, throttle and clutch control.
