    Of course Chris missed the point, although Lebron played out his contracts after he went to Miami he and his agency “Klutch Sports” always made it clear he might not resign and then went to a year to year contracts. The top 4 players in 2010 were Kobe, Bron, Durant, & Wade. Not only did Lebron join another top 4 player but he then added a top 15 player in Bosh. Lebron subsequently stacked those Heat teams with veterans. Wade wasn’t just a superstar. He was a superstar that had already won a chip before.
    So Lebron had a championship teammate that could guide him on the journey to a chip. When Jordan won his first chip, he didn’t have a championship teammate to show him the ropes. Jordan had to figure it out on his own and people appreciate that journey. But Lebron took a shortcut by joining a championship superstar in Wade.
    The 2008 Celtics did not have 2 of the top 4 players in the NBA so they were not the same as the Heat. The 80s Celtics were a superteam but they had to deal with other superteams at the time. The Early 80s Sixers, 80s Lakers, & late 80s Pistons. When the Heat Big 3 was assembled in 2010, there was no other superteam out there that was constructed like them. No other team had 2 top 4 players and a top 15 player. That’s why the Heat Big 3 was viewed as overkill.

    • @sokit2em
      @sokit2em 3 года назад +28

      Also those teams in the past were formed through drafts and trades. Draft picks are never a sure thing and trades are fair game in the sense that you have to give to get. Lebron was the first guy to form a super team via free agency and hand pick teammates in their prime to win, then KD one upped him. imo both Lebron's and KD's legacies should be knocked for those weak moves

    I'll say this if you pick your team (stack the deck as they say) as a player and you don't run the league your legacy is ruined because you can't have a stacked team and it underachieves. If you recruit multiple hall of famers or all stars and you don't dominate it's a failure. You have no excuse outside of injury as a reason you didn't win it all all the time. The other problem is that he tries to compare superteams in the 1980's to superteams today. But in the 1980's there were only 23 teams in the league. There are 30 teams in the league today, and most of them aren't very good. When players stack the deck in today's league they further dilute the talent pool of the average and mediocre teams because good players usually only leave franchises that are mediocre or average for better situations.

      Dan Gilbert was helping LeBron, he was giving LeBron the players, was firing/hiring coaches left and right and was going over the salary cap for this dude. It was LeBron who COULDN'T lead the team to win multiple championships. Dan Gilbert did his part, LeBron didn't. The team was winning 60 plus games in multiple seasons and had a coach of the year, maybe LeBron just wasn't the guy everyone said he was. And if Dan Gilbert gave LeBron no help and was a supposed "rascist" and "plantation owner", why did Lebron go back to play for the man in Cleveland in 2014? LeBron is full of it with his narratives, truth is he's a Scottie Pippen who can't win without a Jordan type player who can lead or close out games.....PERIOD!!! That's why the Lakers look like they do now, no closer or leader on the team to bail out LeBron. LeBron thought AD or Westbrook would bail him out this year but it's not working out, so he's getting EXPOSED. Don't be surprised if LeBron take his ball and run back to Cleveland since the team is playing well now, leaving the Lakers in shambles....SMH!!!!

That's what he said before he ran his azz back to the only team that the NBA could pass him on. And he got lucky, and a couple of things went his way, like the Draymond Green getting suspended, their center getting hurt, abd after that they won their very first championship. Chris Brousard, and Nick Wright, and Shannon Sharpe, wasn't expecting that the Golden State Warriors was about to acquire Kevin Durant, and go on to sweep the Cavaliers the next year. Proving that was a good move to improve the team, and also proved Rob Parker correct. Lebron got man handled by Kevin Durant twice in the finals and Lebron James didn't won't no smoke, supposed to be the best player in the world, and prove he wasn't. What else do I need to say.

      But if u think about, when the warriors drafted steph and eventually drafted klay and a second rounder draymond green, nobody thought at that time that they'll win a championship. They worked together, improved their game, and created a system that suits their strengths. Same goes with the Bulls in 1987. Jordan had no help after getting swept by celtics with 4 HOFs. Mgmt only gave him 2 rookies as help. They developed with each other, got beaten by the bad boys for 3 straight years, learned from it, and when their time comes, they 3 peated. Look at Bucks with Giannis, Middleton and Holiday. Nobody thought they'll win a championship.

    Is Chris serious right now? He went back to Cleveland because they had Kyrie Irving and the number one overall pick, which he knew could be used to flip for another Superstar. What a coincidence he joined another team with multiple stars on it just like he did with Miami. Then what happened? He went to LA, couldn't win by himself, didn't even make the playoffs and immediately traded all of the young and up-and-coming talent to get another top-five player. Btw those players he couldn't win with were BI (All Star), Lonzo (very good two way combo guard), and Josh Hart (solid spark off the bench). We seen this movie Chris, how can you defend it?
