A man in Hollywood with character and values, rare, rare indeed. Huge respect to Lucas Black, and may God Bless you and your family with all the Best this life has to offer.
He was my favorite character on the show, sounds like he has his priorities right, his family should be 1st & he won't regret it!! gonna miss you tho'....God Bless
Donna Fields I totally agree with you! Love that he chose family over his career. I will definitely miss his cute Southern accent and character!! God continue to bless him & his family.🙏🏼💜👍🏼
However even making his family a priority even if he never worked again, if he has planned well financially and keeps to a budget, he and his fam will do very well!. If he does, however, do the occasional movie or tv role, he'll be able to sustain a great lifestyle and close family life.
She is also very good in the movie Bagdad Cafe, she goes from harried, single mom on the verge of divorce to happy, lounge entertainer....one of my favorite movies.
I feel like everybody is assuming the franchise chose to kill off his character when honestly it sounds to me that it was Lucas's decision. He wants to be present for his children's lives and he wants to have a more stable schedule so he can be a family man. I admire that
Nothing wrong with it at all. He can afford to do that. Not everyone can quit their day job to hang with the family 24/7. It's only for the rich celebs. Such is life.
He has his priorities in the right place, good luck with your family and enjoy your time with your family. Your kids are only young once share your time with your family
Exactly. I raised my kids after my wife and I divorced. I truly enjoyed taking take of my 3 kids for 20 years. I would not trade it for anything. The stuff we did when they were young I'll always remember. They didn't ask to come into this world, so ya better take care of them.
Lots of people rag him because they thought he was trying for a New Orleans accent. Nothing could be further from the truth. His accent was pure Alabama, just like his character. As far as accents go, absolutely none of the characters has a true NOLA accent.
Very early on, he was offered a major role in a film, but was told he would have to loose his Alabama accent. He turned down the part, saying he was proud to be from Alabama and vowed he would never give up his accent. That's something I've always liked about Lucky, he's true to his word! When he said he'd be up at 4:00 AM to go bass fishing, he was always up and ready to go when we got there!
Will really miss LaSalle. I think losing his character won’t be a shot in the arm for NCIS New Orleans but instead another thing that will bring it down. LaSalle was such a vibrant character. Loved his interaction with the “city mouse- country mouse”. As I said, he will be missed.
It sucks they killed his character off, I would of liked to seen his character go home to Alabama to permitly run the family business instead of killing him off.
Ur absolutely right. When they killed him off & Scott Bakula is soon to be gone. All ull have is Strong Wahmen in charge. One with a New Yalk accent that makes u wana gouge ur ears off. Over a Nerotic Nerd who needs to prove something & a crippled black man who is way to overconfident in his capabilities. Another win for the SJW's who will never watch the show leading it to be cancelled & female characters that are 'Almost Flawless' who are so unlikable & not the target audience/demographic will be the reason this show is doomed to fail! RIP. I really did enjoy this show... mostly.
I love them all! I was really upset when LaSalle character died. I couldn’t understand why he left. He was a dedicated NCIS officer. He had a great sense of humor, & made made look forward to the show along with the others. Now that I know why, I do understand. He will be sorely missed. I wish him & his family the best. Thank you for all the great episodes you were in. Love you. 👍🏻😊
I was blown away when his character was killed off. I have to admit though that I loved his parting line " I missed you Cade, let's go fishin' ". He was finally reunited with his brother. I did miss the following week but I was ill. I tuned in this week and everybody on the show seemed as bummed out as I was. I am thankful he is going to be with his beautiful family. The children grow up so very fast and the Father in the home is extremely important. He is well loved and will be sorely missed. He left some big shoes to fill. I am glad they won't try to slip in another person into the character he created, that would've been a mistake. Best wishes Lucas, we love and will miss you. God bless you and yours!
So sad that he left the show. Have been following him since he was just a young kid. I love his southern accent...gonna miss him so much. Hope he does more movies or something so I can see him again.
I'm sure going to miss this young man I loved his accent and I loved the whole cast I wish him nothing but the best for him and his family God bless you darling be good at whatever you encounter
I will surely miss Laselle's character because he was a good actor and one of my favorite characters, but since he's going to spend more time with his family, then that's a great thing to do and I'm proud of him for doing that.
I am sad to see Lucas Black leave the show. Love his natural voice. A good down to earth Christian man. Love the God bless in his exit. Makes me love and appreciate him more. A true family man. His lovely wife must be very proud of her handsome husband. For waiting to spend more time with his family. Your the best Mr. Black. Still #1. From Sling Blade to where you are now. Love you always in the Lord. And will be missed. Love NCIS New Orleans....

F&F 9 is will deal with hans death. Black is gonna be in the movie and several actors and director lin were seen wearing shirts that said- "justice for han".
I love Lucas Black the day I saw him in (Sling Blade) when he was about (11) and he played in a movie as the son of Mr. Dennis Quaid! He will always be a Great actor and he will be missed on NCIS New Orleans! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I have been watching NCIS New Orleans for almost four weeks now, I watched seasons 1 to 5 in two and a half weeks. I completely understand why Lucas Black left the show and am grateful for his time on the show. I just think Christopher LaSalle deserved better, I think Christopher LaSalle deserved a happy ending. And I'm not just saying that because he very quickly became one of my favourite TV characters.

I hated to see him go..I wish they hadn't killed him off the show just written his character off. I wish him the best in whatever he does. He is an Amazing actor
I remember him as child playing Caleb in "American Gothic" which was helmed by Shaun Cassidy. Fantastically creepy show that was not given the respect it deserved by the network.
I miss him so MUCH! But I RESPECT him for making it about his family. His family is truly blessed to have him. This decision is going to bless his family and any other things to come. 🙏❤
@@cjtuckerbpmc He actually met Maggie while filming a movie in Missouri. And you are correct, he's not from there, he's from here, Alabama. Which is why he is always cheering for the Alabama Crimson Tide football team. Most people say he's from Decatur, Alabama, but he's actually from Speake, which is a nice little community just on the outskirts of Decatur.
Lucas as so many of his fans stated definitely has his priorities straight! It’s getting harder to find men who put their family first. For someone in the entertainment industry is very rare indeed! He’s not going to regret it one bit! As a fellow southern man,he’s making us proud! God Bless him,his family and us all!
Having a hit tv show is tough to walk away from. Many do so and it does not work out. There are so many actors that would kill for that part. As an actor they should know for 23 plus weeks you are busy. I give him credit for walking away for family sake. Hopefully many years in the future he will return to tv if it works out and stay. Just look at baklava and Harmon who know they have a good thing are older and get producer credit. Even david McCollum in his 80’s knows it is to good to give up.
Lucas Black may only be taking a 'sabbatical' to be with his family for a year or so. I won't be surprised if he ends up on another top show, like Chicago Fire, as soon as next year.
Very classy exit by Lucas Black! Have to say it was a good life choice. Kids grow up so fast! Enjoy every moment! Good luck in your future ventures! God bless you and your family!

It is not going to be the same with Chris out of the picture. Please bring him back on occassion throughout the series. This is terrible that he is gone. Please write him in the show periodically. Thanks...a loyal fan. Karen
They could have written him out without killing his character, like solving who killed his brother, avenging Cade's death, and deciding to put family first and be there for the rest of his family and re-connect with Sonja.
Hey I was late seeing the show that night; and I just could not believe Christopher had died. So I waited for on demand to see it all And it was true he did die. Now I know why. This is a very smart move for nice New Orleans. Because it gives more opportunities for different actors to come on and follow more story lines. I don’t know if they did a three way team up with all NCIS shows recently. That would be a good season closer. 😉👍🏽💜
As a longtime viewer of the NCIS family of shows, I'm sad to see another character go. I suppose some of us come to grips with the deaths of these characters and are aware these are but fictional stories. In real life agents of such organizations give their all just as our servicemen and servicewomen have done.
Your comment makes it seem as though you believe Lucas Black himself died. It was just his character on NCIS, he's going to have other acting jobs I'm sure.
I remember him as Caleb Temple from American Gothic TV series which he play basically the son of the Devil played by Gary Cole as Sheriff Lucas Buck. I hope they bring back that show as a TV movie or miniseries to see how they have been doing since 1995. also from Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift
He didn't even get to solve his brothers killer. I think they should have given him that before he died. He was my favorite since Tony and Ziva left the original. Now they are all gone....
Isn't Ziva back in the new season though? Or was it some hallucination crap? I haven't gotten the chance to see yet. And I was very sad when Tony left.
@@cynthiakent4033 Wonder if Grant was even welcomed. I follow her on FB and Twitter and she's only had one screen gig this season. I wrote her into the story line in "What Might Have Been. Posted on Wattpad and Fanfiction writing sites. Cried through all six chapters.
I'd enjoyed NCIS:NO in the beginning, bu lost interest after the prolonged battle with the evil mayor took up so much of the season. Black melded nicely with the other actors and the show lacked the eccentric characters of the other NCIS shows. Bravo, Lucas, bet you're a great father!
I just wish they hadn't killed the character so that he could have come back once in a while, but I'd bet you he asked that his character die so he wouldn't be tempted to come back.
I wish they hadn't killed him off. Even if he doesn't want to be back on the show, I still wish they would have let him live and have his character not be able to handle being a NCIS agent and the business at home, and so, leave the show to deal with the family business with the hope of coming back when he gets it all squared away, even if he never comes back. I have really liked him since I first saw him on one of my favorite shows, "American Gothic", the movie with agents Skully and Muldoon and the classic, "Slingblade". But, family is MORE IMPORTANT than anything. I wish him luck in whatever he does in the future.

This guy was my favorite character, I started watching the show because of him
He didn't even get to solve his brothers killer. I think they should have given him that before he died. He was my favorite since Tony and Ziva left the original. Now they are all gone....
Isn't Ziva back in the new season though? Or was it some hallucination crap? I haven't gotten the chance to see yet. And I was very sad when Tony left.
@@kaigen999 Ziva came back for the first two episodes, and will then appear in two more during the rest of the season. After that?????
I hate to see him go I still love the show I’ll still watch it
I gonna miss him.
Loved Lucus Black since Sling Blade! He will be missed!
I am not a Lasalle fan but I was sad to see him go. His presence I somewhat miss it.
I hope their rating will get higher. Good luck mister Black.
Wow! He’s pretty fantastic! I really enjoyed him as a child actor on American gothic! Great show! He will be missed!
The show will really go down now!
Why did they not bring sonja back to say good bye
roxanne bright Yes you are right. They were very close. Writers forgot this or she didn’t want to come back.
Miss him and good luck. I really cried my ass off. And that was such a sad goodbye.
Much respect for his priorities in life
Good for him, but he'll be missed.
I was going to quit watching, but I admire his decision!
It is sad to see him go it is what it is family's comes first good luck 🙂
Love the show, and Lucas is a cool guy and has great on screen chemistry...
Good Luck Lucas, gonna miss the show.
I was really sad to see him go. Love you Brother and make a lot of good memories with your family
At least Scott Backula got a season six unlike what happened to Enterprise!
hate to see him go but he is doing the right thing for his family!
Family is so important ..Hes a good guy,
..
I just wish they hadn't killed the character so that he could have come back once in a while, but I'd bet you he asked that his character die so he wouldn't be tempted to come back.
I believe he also left the show because he's returning to Fast & Furious series
I totally support his decision. I'll really miss him because he's one of my favorite actors ever.
