This is pure gold. Tino is a beautiful soul who was done so dirty in TV. There’s so much more to him that was never shown. I also think he was ambushed at the happy couple weekend.
He’s definitely right that Rachel needs a couple years to come into her own.

Tino is a great example that if you're truly a good person at heart, no matter what edit you get on the show or whether they choose to exploit your mistakes [we all make them!], you can still come out on top--and whatever the show did can actually backfire. I was pretty neutral on Tino during the show itself, but the way he's handled himeself since the fallout and spoke about it with such class has made him one of my favorite bachelor alums. The show might try to destroy you, but how you handle that can actually make you look good!
Don't walk, RUN to watch this interview. The show did Tino so dirty.. he's just a normal guy who happened to make mistakes that were filmed. Most of us are lucky to never know what that's like. It's hard to choose my favorite DWD, each one has been so insightful and fun. Can't wait to see who we get to watch next Saturday!
I so agree with you , I always make the point to all the CHIEF JUDGES AND EXECUTIONERS on a reality show cameras are on you 24 hrs each day, how many of us can be filmed and not be seen and heard doing things that might questionable, we are human , we make mistakes, we all do, we are not Paragons of virtue, although some of us really think we are.
I thought Tino really suffered more than anyone at the hands of production. The kiss thing was so stupid. Over-reaction of the century. I think Tino is a classy guy who cares about people and is beautiful inside and out. His Dad was so funny on his Facebook posts and his family really suffered from the internet pitchforks, egged on by his editing by Bachelorette production. It did seem like the Roman Empire where Tino was thrown to the lions.
They really made it like he was drunk driving and drove into a schoolyard or something.

Tino on the show and Tino here, are two different people. It seems they exploited his lack of media savvy.
I freaking LOVE Tino. I didn't think Rachel was smart in picking him at first, but after seeing the ATFR where they treated him like SHIT, and he was so graceful about it, I've been eagerly awaiting to hear more from him. Love this.

Thanks Dave for doing this! It showed a different side of Tino, a more thoughtful and sensitive side. I always thought the way production treated him was so nasty. His and Rachel’s situation always reminded me of the Rachel/Ross thing. Cannot wait to watch the next Driving with Dave!

I really enjoy the insights Tino has about his own mental health. So glad he is doing okay.
I really enjoyed this episode, and got to see a whole new and real side to Tino. I still feel the same way back then as I do now, the producers did him so dirty and he didn’t deserve as much hate as he received and how they treated them at the AFR was atrocious. How is it that Jed had a whole relationship on Hannah B’s season and didn’t get that kind of treatment on AFR and Tino did???
It’s refreshing to see a former contestant that actually goes back to normal life and doesn’t use the show to gain a social media following. Kudos to him for opening up and sharing his side of the story. I think a lot of viewers a seeing him in a different light.
This was another great DWD interview! You do an awesome job asking the hard questions whilst behind the wheel! Always thought Tino was a good guy so glad he got to share his story again with you and glad is doing so well now!
Damn! Just when I thought you couldn't top the last! This was undoubtedly the most grounded and for the superfans who can't separate the edit from reality, let this be a lesson! Whether you like the lead of contestant or not, you DO NOT really know who they are!
This was another amazing episode. I am so happy to hear from them and give them the opportunity to share about themselves. Dave you do such a great job of valuing all persons . We had already talked about this before but nice to hear from himself about how the “show” presents drama. I wish Tino the best and hope he continues to find success.
Great interview! I didn't even watch Tino's season, and only heard about the Tino fallout through Dave's channel. Tino is so down to earth and genuine and I love how he has really embraced therapy and taking care of his mental health after what he has gone though. Another banger from Dave!

Dave what I love about these DWD...is that we get to really know the person you are interviewing. However, we also get to know you better too. You do an awesome job of making the person feel at ease & feel safe to share their thoughts & feelings.
I thought the way Rachel and production handled it so badly. Especially Rachel.

Wow! No wonder what Rachel saw in Tino to make him F1. He is so incredibly handsome of course, but here we really get to see his personality. So manly and sexy! Infectious- the kind of guy you want to be around. And also such a good person. He would 100% be my type (if I wasn't madly in love with my boyfriend who I am going to marry). Tino, you are a 10/10. You have it all. I know you mentioned here that you weren't interested in being The Bachelor, but you would make an AMAZING Bachelor. Authentic, handsome, kind, trustworthy, intelligence, and so much more...you check all of the boxes! TINO FOR THE BACHELOR! Whoever ends up with Tino someday will be a VERY lucky and blessed woman!

Dave - I love listening to these conversations. It really humanizes everyone (and you). As an anxious attachment person myself, I love hearing how people are making their way through it to healthy attachments.

This really goes to show that if you are a good person, even abc can’t permanently control your narrative. Tino might be the least judgmental person that exists because how he kept from saying a single negative thing about Rachel after what she did to him takes a saint 😂. Tino is better off without that drama.
I could not help but wonder how bad Dave's driving was watching Tino's expressions. It was brilliant. Dave you are killing it!
Love he is willing to talk about what he has learned. I can't imagine how hard it is for every couple to watch back while in hiding, let alone if there is friction.

I don't think Rachel was that much into Tino. I think she picked him in desperation to show that she was over Clayton and because Aven had disappointed her. Then she played it tough for the cameras.
What a refreshing video showing 2 grown men talking about their personal growth journeys in a healthy way. Great to see personal accountability, vulnerability, insight, admission you don't know all the answers, your interests, passions and fears, and willingness to talk about your blind spots. Kudos to you both.
I think Tino was a good man. Yes should he have laid low when they were on a break probably but all in all he is honest and only speaks the truth. Great video

My take on it is that Rachel was doubtful about picking Tino long before that big fight we saw on TV and because she was the lead, it was safe for everyone to choose her size. I don't think she was genuine.

Tino’s real problem was being attracted to a person , I.e. Rachel, who seems to have major emotional unresolved issues. That’s the only thing he needs to question.

This was my favorite interview Dave. I’ve been waiting to hear something from Tino! I was one of those people who reached out after the finale in support of Tino because I was furious at how dirty they did him. The fact that he loves his job, surfs and not instagram- lol. He is probably my favorite male contestant ever because he’s actually a real person and a straight up man❤️

When he said he was alone much of the time when his brother was dealing with cancer (from 6th-9th grade) and his parents were gone a lot - it just broke my heart. Tino is a catch. I don’t think Rachel has much empathy and to be in a relationship you have to weigh the good with the bad & there is going to be bad.

It's not fair to judge them. The show sets them up for failure...too much manipulation and interference.

I cannot stand Rachel. She came across as high maintenance, mean, and spiteful. I also do not care for Gabby. She seems a bit full of herself. Together, they were insufferable.

It definitely helped him in the long run that production went so over the top with “punishing” him. It had the opposite effect and made people feel more sympathetic to him. That was the most uncomfortable AFTR ever. Rachel has since said that Aven got duped into that. He did not know ahead of time that Tino would still be on stage. Such cringey manipulation on productions part. Nothing organic about it and it made Rachel look sort of pathetic too.
