Once again...this is an excellent story. It's both relaxing in the storytelling style, and unnerving on account of the content of the story. Very nicely done.
I was listening to a video about Slavic forest/nature spirits and monsters, and one that was mentioned reminded me a bit of Nøkken. Have you ever heard of Vodyanoy?
Also also...while out roaming the shops today, I found this bottle of some sort of beverage called Glögg...supposed to be some sort of traditional Scandinavian beverage, often spiked with some sort of alcohol. Is this anything like the Nøkken storyteller's mulled wine?
