Beautiful color in the end of your vid. I've been wanting to get into it for over a decade. The last two weeks I've been needing out here on YT. I finally bought a panse, a book and I'm now looking at metal detectors. I live in San Franny, and my gf lives in Bakersfield. We've been going into the mountain a bunch nice she's never really been up there.... I'm an avid fly fisherman an hunter so it was second nature to take here in there.... Her favor spot is Kennedy Meadows! Best wishes !! ~Matt
The gold is, being able to take buckets home to a house on the Kern and have a side creek running through your yard in May, to was your buckets down!!! FN awesome dude!! 😉
Tag along with someone who is experienced and most important willing to share knowledge. Read the book The Art of Dowsing - Separating Science from Superstition, which will enable you to find the gold, then watch RUclips prospecting videos for training yourself on the best way of extracting the gold deposit found by dowsing.
Hey. I’m pretty new to this. First of all, no I didn’t do it 😁, but I don’t want to jump any ones claim, so how do you know if you’re on someone’s claim? Something I’d like to avoid. I’m in the Exeter area. I usually go up around Coarsegold and Mariposa areas. I deer hunt around there, so I know it a bit better. I know there’s a lot of claims around there. I’ve never noticed signs or anything like that. I would like to try the Kern area, I’ve heard that’s a real good area too. Just want to avoid trouble. Great vid. Looks like an awesome area.
@@visamedic Dredging for "Gold" is currently illegal. There is a gray area for "Reclamation Dredging". Check out the group called Public Lands for the People. They explain everything there.
There are two that I know of. The local GPAA chapter is Golden Valley Prospectors. There is also the Bakersfield Prospectors, but I don't know much about them.
Adding dowsing to your prospecting equipment will find more gold in less time than any other prospecting tool available today. The physics involved in dowsing and how to build your own modern light weight ball bearing dowsing rod is explained in the book, The Art of Dowsing - Separating Science from Superstition. Gravity is used as a gauge by pitting the power of gravity against the energizing of the one-tenth ounce dowsing rod load that is attached at a predetermined location on the ELEVATED acetylene welding rod of the dowsing rod. This produces accurate and precise dowsing of all edges, exact center, depth buried with angle of deposition, and most important GRADING of the sought element contained in the elemental mass being that is being dowsed. You will become a professional dowser after practicing the book's dowsing lessons of buried pipelines and cables, tunnels and voids, precious metal placer and lode deposits, dowsing for treasure, dowsing for any element, amplified long distance dowsing from a moving vehicle, and dowsing on water from a boat. Good luck on the gold prospecting and have a safe, healthy, good day.
Could you make a video on prospecting etiquette? I live in Bakersfield and want to go prospect for a day with my daughter. I don’t know how I’m supposed leave my site after done for the day. Do I have to get some time of license?
No license is required in California. Proper etiquette for prospectors is to leave the area as close to the way you found it as possible. Basically, fill your holes. This is my private claim and an ongoing dig. we will remediate the land (fill the holes) after we finish working the area.
Good video. BLM took my claim off Goler road north of Randsburg. I live up here at the lake, and have been looking for a claim to work now and then. Do you allow people on your claim for a percentage, or a small fee?
@@kingofthekern ever go around the greenhorn mtns. me and my buddy are planning to detect up there he lives in ridgecrest ca. thanks boss. have a good day.

Got some questions about dredging too.

@@kingofthekern Cool. Thank you. And the dredging is illegal in any form whether it’s a gas engine or otherwise?

Be careful bro. 4 ft on your knees is a confined space zone. Technically. Collapse happens when least expected. Stay safe. Enjoy
I will. Thanks
I want to do that some day I’m also wandering if you know any good spots to fish up there
Currently Lake Isabella and the lower Kern River are fishing well
