James, you have my gratitude for all the content this year. This year of 2024 was a pretty bad one for me and many, many times one of your videos was a high point of my day or week. The info, the jokes, the creativity, and, of course, the shorts are always as top notch as the man that fills them. Thank you sir.
me too. i was skeptical off the "cheap" price point but now i look at it as "affordable" and the standard of what all pump shotguns should at least be like.
Maverick 88 is some of the best gun money you can spend. Not just shotgun money. Gun money of any kind. If only all budget guns could be so bulletproof.
@ 100% agreed. I own the 590A1 and the difference between the Maverick 88 and the 590 in terms of reliability is pretty identical. For the 590 they added dual steel extractors/ejectors but the Mav 88 is already solid
The changes made to the 1301 do not justify the 500$ price hike. The A300 having the same upgrades and a better loading port make it even more ridiculous.
The A300 doesn't have the same upgrades. It lacks the trigger and pro lifter. The 1301 has chrome lined internals and barrel as well. The piston system is also different. They are not on the same level. Im not saying the A300 is a bad semi auto shotgun. Its a great shotgun. But, the 1301 mod 2 is a better shotgun. Is it worth $700 more? 🤷 Who knows. Thats going to be up to your financials.
@@ryanguldbrandsen7672 You are missing the point. You could get a stripped down mod 1 1301 for less than 1000$ a couple years ago. The LE versions were like 1300$ or so. LEs can now go for over 1800$. The m4 has barely changed in price during the same time, and now the 1301 is almost neck and neck with it. The patrol came out last year. They were like 900$, now they are like 1100$. They bumped 1301 prices, then made a cheaper gun to fill that price void, just to raise the price on that cheaper gun too. If they decide to put the 70$ pro lifter in the a300, they'll bump it to 1400$. Consumers are hurting themselves buying product with these practices.
@youtubedude3422 I'm not missing the point. I paid $1344 out the door for my non LE removable choke 1301 Mod 2 in October. The M4 doesn't have anything to do with the 1301 mod 2. They are very different. I've seen the m4 mod 2's go for $2600. I've also seen them go for $1675. I've seen the og np3 h20 versions go for $10k when they were $3k originally. Prices on things go up. The LE versions are just fixed choke versions. They are not improved in any way and always sell for less than the normal version of the 1301. As they are fully made in the US. The non LE models are made in Italy and imported. Bereli had LE versions of the mod 2 for $1450-1550 for most of this year. Along with the A300 for $850-900 for most of the year. If you pay $1800 for a LE 1301 mod 2. Then you didn't shop around.... At all. As I said there are alot more improvements on the 1301 vs the A300 than just the pro lifter. They are not at all the same shotgun. They use different gas systems. One has full chrome lined parts and barrel. If you don't want the improvements. Then you obviously aren't the intended audience for the 1301. There were two versions to the first model. The very first version was $900. Mod 1 Version 2 was $1350. I don't know what the differences are. The mod 2 was announced when I began looking. So I didn't really drive into it.
@@kindercannon2280 My non LE version has extended 7+1. But, that is a import thing vs a LE thing. 7+1 shotguns cannot be imported. They have to be made in the US. Beretta was getting around this by adding them in the US with the non LE models. But as of last month, that isnt allowed any longer. So the non LE versions will no longer have extended tubes as of last month. So, thats a very new development.
Bren 3 yeah right. No way CZ, where are the parts for the Bren 2? No way I’m falling for that again. Learn to support your platforms if you want customers.
the one thing i don't like about the third choice is cz stopped pinning the gas block. they used a clamp on which is the worst way to add a gas block to a rifle. they said they were making it more durable but then they add a easy failure point the older gens didn't have

About bullpups. Have you tried the Desert Tech MDRX-Micron? Jacked up with custom gear? Built one, 11.5” barrel and the Micron front. Cerakoted it with the inside of my coat - ok digicam. Thank you for mentioning the ratworx sear and aftermarket handguards when talking about the AUG. The trigger and the lack of mounting space at the end of the gun are valid concerns, but they've been addressed! Personally I run the clawgear handguard. No accessories mounted to it, but it allows me to get my hand farther out on the end of the gun. The usability improvement of the end of the gun being a tube is also hard to overstate. You know what I mean if you've ever shot from a VTAC!
