- Anyone who is serious about boating has a wishlist of items they would add if they had all the money in the world. This is especially true with a larger boat, like a sportfishing boat.
In this video, we discuss some of the different features we'd love to add to our boat, including a gyrostabilizer, bigger engines, and omni sonar.

In all fairness, Mad Ludwig is a sweetheart for what she is. Not a battle wagon, but super comfortable. Like you, a gyro would be #1 if i was "Stupid Rich."

I have a Luhrs 380 convertible 1997 with twin Cat 3126 with 4.500 hours each and the haven’t needed big repairs, just the routine maintenance, I highly recommend you the Cat engines, they are very efficient in consumption, where I live there is a saying that Caterpillars are for life.
CAT 3116 and 3126 engines are throw engines since they don't have cylinder liners. A rebuild requires a new block.
If you perform most of your own maintenance, CAT's require specialized tools to run and set the rack.
I've owned 2 military trucks with 3126 engines, and will gladly take a Cummins 8.3 any day of the week over the CAT, even though the CAT has more horse power.

We had a 38 open with Detroits and we had about 6500hrs when we sold the boat. Loved that hull. We sold that about 13 years ago and I still see it offshore all the time.
So sell and buy another . I saw a Freeman 47 out board Cat get an Omni so they are coming to smaller boats - may have been one in the clip . Gyro would probably be as much as I'd consider unless the engines popped . Nice boat ... always want bigger 😁

I'd like to extend by boat by 3ft add a higher hp engine. rebuild cockpit and cabin to flow better . New electronics package . I'm sure there are alot more things
My pop had a 30ft Black Watch express and he had a flybridge hard top and it was awesome. You could seat 4 up there np. It only had a radar arch with a bimini with full enclosure.
Some might not know, that boat started out as a Bridge boat and was converted to a express.
If cost is no object, just have a boat custom built. ;)

Hey Guys checkout Bad Company sportfishing on youtube. They are building a 50ft carolina carbonfiber sportfish crosswait is building the boat. They have videos about it and there fleet. The 50fter will be put on the deck of there 175fter. They have a 150 now that carrys there 34ft express they have omni sonars on everything. Crazy sportfish operaton that catch huge bluemarlin in crazy places where the fish never see a lure.
@@shoresharp8349 they have a WILD set up for sure. We haven’t crossed paths, hopefully we will this coming year. 👍👍
