@@stilllearningagain Sorry to hear that. It’s a mfer to get out. I broke so many drills and EZ outs…I ended up drilling the whole thing out and putting a grade 8 bolt through with a nut on the back.
Had a 2015 as well, got it back from my son in law and came to the same conclusion.. Spend a lot of money and still have the old machine or spring for the 2021 when it became available. its time to start working on it, glad you bought one, you get way more miles and will probably experience issues first.. (thanks) Although, I am having to rebuild the FOX shocks already. they leaked nitrogen and then leaked oil. get a way to recharge it, otherwise they leak and rebuild is a pain. Way better than the old Sachs, but more technology) On another note, what app or program do you use to create routes and then upload to the Ride comand? I specificaly carry a tablet with All Trails because I have not figured out Ride Command yet.. Thanks for the great videos. still need to do the radiator fix as well.
@@stilllearningagain I use the Ride Command route planner on the website or in the Rc app. It’s kind if a pain to find but once you figure it out, it’s easy to use and once they’re saved, they’ll download to the RZR next time it’s connected to the internet (it’s connected to my home wifi so that’s the next time I turn it on).
It’s a lot more comfortable to drive an sxs. It’s also less physical because you have to use your body to steer a quad. And there’s no sun protection so a 50” rzr is kind of a wimpy quad LOL.
I have tried to find a Polaris front camera for our 2021. So far Polaris parts people say they dont offer one. I assume it is the one for any 7" 7 button Ride command. but do you by chance have the part number of what you ordered? or did you get it at a dealer? Thanks again
Pretty sure it was direct from Polaris website. If you configure your RZR on the website, it will tell you if it’s compatible. This shows as compatible with mine so I’m pretty sure this was it. www.polaris.com/en-us/shop/off-road/accessories/audio-tech/2890416/?pfm=Search
@@ramblingadventures Thanks again. They finally answered Friday with the same link. So I will be ordering it. We could have used it this weekend in Arkansas
Have you had to deal with the timing chain tensioner on your old rzr? We bought a 2015 rzr trail with only 1100 miles and 130 hours and after two rides I now notice a knock from the passenger side of the engine after a cold start that goes away after 30 seconds to 2 minutes of running. 99% sure its the tensioner and im about to install a manual tensioner to eliminate it as a failure point...just curious if anyone has actually had good luck with the oem tensioner, seems like its an extremly common failure point.
No. I always thought the timing chain was really noisy but when I got the new machine, it had the exact same level of sound. In fact, many of the noised I thought had “crept up” on the 2015 were there from the first mile with the. new one. There is something about the startup knock sound and I can’t remember the explanation that I’d read but it wasn’t piston knock but something related that wasn’t an actual issue,
@ramblingadventures I see, well, that's good to hear because the replacement tensioner made no difference after I installed it last night... Oh well, I have an oil pressure guage installed, and that shows excellent pressure, so im not gonna worry about it unless the sound gets much worse. Thanks for the reply!
No, actually it was running fine. I just had a list of things I needed to replace (like wheel bearings) and decided I wanted the features on the Ultimate like the Fox Shocks and Ride Command. It’s actually for sale at the dealer.
@@tacobocks333 Awesome! I just put new clutches in it. They have like 50 miles. The things I'd do is check the brake pads, change the wheel bearings and watch the CV boot on the left rear because the inner one has a bit of rot. Just make sure it doesn't perish. I did a service on that not long ago too. It should be in the book though I ran out of space in the book.
@@tacobocks333 Oh, and I have that spare tire mount. It wouldn't fit on the new one. I also have a spare wheel (with a flat tire) if you want to buy it from me. I'd sell the wheel and rack for $150. You can email me at: peterfowlerjr@gmail.com
@@ramblingadventures thank you so so much for the information and taking such good care of this machine. Took it out on an intense trail and it runs and opperates beautifully! I'll shoot you and email as it would be fun to get in touch.
Yep, It's the same size from 2016 through the newer design in 2023. For a few 900s, they had the same width wheel front and back but if you have the "normal" wider rear wheels, this size should work.
Thanks for the Video! bought my 2015 , 5 years ago and love it. Watched your videos first before i bought it
Such a great video man!! I really love sitting and watching along on your journey! Keep the rubber side down!!
I got the exact same one yesterday!!! Well.... No ride command stuff, but it's great. Great video. I'm definitely getting some of those suggestions
Nice review on your 2023 trail 50!!
Well, We broke the bolt on the Front Sway bar. I had not replaced it yet... Right now just running with no Sway bar for a while.

What size and brand tires ? Is it still under 50" WITH THOSE TIRES ?
Here’s a whole video I did about the tires.
