I’m renting a aeravator from my local grasshopper dealership. I couldn’t believe they rented them. I have a new lawn that I seeded last year but it doesn’t look very good. I’m excited to seed again this fall. Hoping it turns out really good.

My dad has been mowing around a warehouse that he has farmed his whole life. He has owned 19 diesel grasshopper mowers. They are incredibly solid. Never had a problem with one of them.

This is a great video friend!!! I went and help my elderly neighbor now I'm doing a complete Reno on my next door neighbors yard so they can have a yard for his kids to play in I'll be taking photos every few days its awesome to see the progress!!!! Have loved this piece of equipment ever since I seen you use it on the soccer field. Grasshopper is an awesome piece of equipment just as the Ventrac is. So wish that made one that would someone mount on the front of a zero turn TORO for us shallow pocket boys haha

Great video Pete. I have taken your advice to help with yard issues (applying fert, doing a soil test, spot spraying weeds). I think that I got more out of it than they did, but you find that the joy of helping your neighbors is its own reward.

The problem is the media and people allowing themselves to be brainwashed by plugging into their TV for their daily software brainwashing. I agree people don't think for themselves and lack critical thinking and forget to treat others as they want to be treated. Let alone self awareness and respect for others. 🇺🇲

Thank you for explaining this piece of equipment better. I was confused between aerovating and aerating. Here in Indiana clay, I'll be on the lookout to rent this equipment next year for fall overseeding. Cant wait to see the KBG ballfield - Jaxx field! Lol. Keep spreading the Word, my friend. It's not practical for most people to buy/rent an aerator. You have to have a pickup truck to even rent it in order to bring it back to your house. I heard liquid aerators are just as effective and it doesn't leave a mess. I use a manual aerator to poke holes in my lawn in the fall or spring then I use a liquid aerator as well which does the job pretty good.
Have you ever tried a heavy roller after Aera-vator and seed? Last fall I had customer who insisted we roll after seeding and it was far better that all the other yards.Evan better than the ones we spread peat moss over after seeding. Non irrigated in Iowa.
Oh my that’s a 900 diesel with the flat free tires. How about a thorough review on the machine that is sweet. I went to my dealer about one and they said I couldn’t get one till maybe next year around May if I’m lucky.

Do you every use a plug before you aerovate? I have used my aerovator on 2 different fields. One field I have used it for 7 years straight and another just 3 years. The field that I have used it on for 7 years straight will not loosen up at all now but my field that I have only used for 3 years feels like I’m walking on clouds lol. Has the aerovator actually compacted my ground since it is not pulling anything out year after year?

Now's the time for spot seeding for sure. I usually add more seeds and sprinkle topsoil on the edges while I'm addressing thin spots.

hey pete...no experience with grasshopper mowers. How long would ya say it takes to switch from the mowing deck over to the aera vator attachments? Ive overlooked the grasshopper mowers thinking they were inferior, but never really researched them. I guess its because they are papersack brown...LOL...not nice and shiny red like the exmarks and ferris

Man my neighbor has drove a car through my backyard through my front yard and tore up my turf, my irrigation system and cash in my front yard. Then went the house and went to sleep. True story all caught on camera, he was lock up for property damages, leave the scene of an accident and DUI. The same neighbor removed the property stakes and threw them back into my property mine you that the stakes were install by a survey company. For the pass 3 years I’ve had to call animal control on their dog from damaging up my lawn. What is your suggestion Pete because I’m not moving because my house is damn near paid off….oh yeah I just put up a fence damn near cost me 35k fence due to the all annoying incidents from this idiot of an neighbor and yes I have filed charges on them and it’s headed to litigation because I’ve simply had enough. Some neighbors you just can reason with them Pete. And by the way this has absolutely nothing to do with race because we are the same race. Hmmmm
My neighbors suck, they hate that I live in their neighborhood.
As a disabled man. Watching all the heathy bodies around me, seeing more assholes then the common man, because they are flat strap all about them.
Couldn't agree more about healing or even being plan nice to someone.
Can't belive people don't even open doors for people these days.
Its sad when you help a old lady get something from the top self and see turns around trying to pay you for it.... So sad. And to think a lot of people would take it too.
