This video was recorded before the 14.15 patch which made a number of changes to the game, however there were no changes to Xayah directly and I don't believe any of the changes make any significant difference to the Xayah build. I will be doing a patch notes video very soon (recording it right now) going over the changes and what I think their implications are for Swarm! Thanks for watching everyone, I'll be doing another community poll soon to choose the next build guide video champion (after Riven), so keep an eye out for that!
XP isn't actually required on Xayah. She's very happy taking an extra useful passive over an extra evolved weapon. She's much happier with pickup + 5 fully upgraded passives + evolved [uwu blaster + main weapon + 1 secondary weapon ] + unevolved [iceblast + filler/avoid weapon] than taking XP, pickup, and maxing out everything. Projectile count is actually much higher priority than pickup. Missing her evolve is annoying, but it's not a big deal. It's a ~15% loss in damage on her main weapon, closer to ~6% because her E deals the bulk of the damage. Missing projectile count is around a ~30% loss in damage from UwU Blaster, and a 40% loss in damage from her weapon+e. Catastrophic. Crit and Haste are up there for similar reasons (amplifying both main weapon + uwu blaster is huge); pickup is actually fairly nonessential and will very rarely outperform even the damage passive (can still be taken over damage passive because of the shield from xayah main weapon). [losing crit is 25% loss in dmg, losing haste is 50% less UwU blaster + 18% overall dmg] Bullet Mania is much less powerful than you would expect unless you pick it up really early on, the break-even point is 3 bullets because the damage loss is multiplicative instead of additive. Spray and Pray is actively bad for the same reason (break even for damage is 5 extra bullets for spray and pray). *Assuming you have full upgrades and take projectile passive. If you don't, it's obviously fine to take. This is evaluated on Xayah's main weapon and UwU Blaster, it's much worse for the augment on other weapons. Point Blank and Long Range are far stronger than you give them credit for because unlike most damage augments, their damage increase is multiplicative (This used to be exclusive to them; glass cannon got buffed in 14.15 to also be multiplicative which takes it from actively bad to actually fairly strong). In practice you can multiply their output by 2.5 when comparing to other damage increases; and by much more if you get other damage augments. Their output is fairly similar to a ~15-20 stack Cross Country or nerfed Ramming Runner damage-wise against Aatrox if you play around them when you use E.
This is really well thought out and put together! You obviously have put a lot of thought into the interactions between augments and their power levels. To be fair I did want to give Xayahs evolve a little bit more priority due to the shield it gives you (I value survivability highly since I'm bad at dodging) but I also just wanted to keep things fairly simple as these build guides are meant to be for people who are starting out and aren't 100% sure what to build on a champion; not necessarily the absolute 100% best build possible for a champ. That being said I do really appreciate you posting this as it's very useful for anyone who wants to min-max and up their game. I hope to see you on future videos helping out :)
Good call out! I honestly didn't think about this at all haha, but ultimately I think you're right, it really doesn't make much of a difference to your overall power. Glad you're thinking creatively though!
@@Nighthawk20000 ye it doesnt make a big difference but its better than pet dmg i guess. + i think death and taxes is the best augment in the game bcs its the only 1 that is permanent.
aurora when? im have trouble getting deep games with her. is there a trick to ult? i always just die when i use it. would love to see you recommendations on on what i should build
According to my math (which is bad) its around a 7% damage nerf. Not "nothing" but pretty close to it, I don't think this changes UwU's position as king of the damage weapons at all.
7% damage nerf, but UwU Blaster was dealing close to triple of its closest rival (melee range ballista). Only thing that can compete with it is the combination of Xayah's main weapon + her E (note her e deals more than double the damage of the initial feathers), if you keep her passive up (nearly doubles damage output from main weapon before the haste is considered).
@@sohtnax7809 movespeed is very strong on every champion. Moving faster means you're going around and killing enemies and picking up XP faster and lets you dodge boss attacks easier. Also it scales with some of the best augments like ramming runner and cross country. I think movespeed is the best all around stat in the game

death and taxes isn't actually useless on xayah as gives more drops which fuels your passive. Not mega useful in boss but not irrelevant vs elites

Aurora soon! She was just buffed today so I think she will be a little stronger than she used to be too :)

Is uwu blaster nerf relevant? It was like -5 damage on evolve but idk how much of a dps loss that is

why is movespeed that good on xayah? I don't get it
