    A few issues with this strategy, A) your support tends to just stick by your side and leech your exp. B) Your teammates will ping and troll if you don't group and call you out. C) The ennemy team will just group mid and brute force their way to the inhibs if 2 of you are splitting, killing your allies on the way, getting 2+ turrets and objs.

    • @lihisluikku
      @lihisluikku 2 года назад +52

      A) I ask them nicely to help out the more useful team members while I soak exp and gold alone while creating some pressure. If they don't, that's really on them and not you. This has never ever been an issue. Although probably one in 200 games you might get a support like this.
      B) These kinds of players will inevitably be in your teams. These kinds of players will find some reason to tilt over, no matter what you do. Like if you did group with them, and then obviously died because you had no items and exp, they would ping you anyway and claim AD diff. How is that scenario any better than doing something useful and being flamed over it? Why would you want to do the wrong play, just to get a different flavor of flame from your team?
      C) Okay this sucks for sure. How is it going to be any different if you were there with your boots and half an item, 5 levels behind? Like in this scenario where the enemy steamrolls that hard through your team, what do you do as an ADC if you aren't really fed and ahead? What is the better alternative, than trying to get back into the game while possibly tricking some K/D player into trying to catch you?
      Like see how all of your arguments against this tactic, take unwinnable situations where you have zero agency one way or the other, and try to use those as issues against this strategy? Sure like all of your three points are situations where this tactic for getting back into the game won't work. But sometimes team difference is just too big for you to impact it. This is still the best strategy for getting back into the game and winning a lost game. If it works even 30% of the time to turn a loss into a win, it's still going to raise your hard stuck 50/50 winrate into 65/35 until you climb as a result.

    You can split all you want but if your team is dead and the enemy is reaching your inhib you are kinda forced to come back.

      another one that has no concept of the benefit of consistency. The video doesn't promise 100% win rate. The video doesn't say you'll carry every game and WHO THE HELL are these people that CARE about being flamed and don't mute chat?!?!?!?! that's a big reason you can't climb anyways. If your team is dead and the enemy is taking your inhib with 4, can you stop them by yourself anyways? then it doesn't matter. AND if this strategy wasn't more consistent than traditional adc playstyles, challengers wouldn't be using it whenever they climb through the low elo ranks. Do you not understand that in the few cases where your support comes to you to steal exp or your team loses the fight, then you lose the game? look even if you're so good you have a 60% WR, which is climbing very quickly, out of 200 games you still lost 80 of them. 80 is a shit ton of games to lose. Strategies don't just omit the games you're going to lose. They give you a way to more consistently carry games and just because using a strategy means that you can still lose the game doesn't mean it's a bad strategy. You don't know more than the challengers making the video. Complaining about how you can still lose when implementing the strategy they use to carry is just ignorance. If you were as good and knowledgeable as them you would be challenger too.

What they didn't see is my support hiding behind me, letting the enemy team constantly poke and harass me without helping, never using spells to poke or peel or heal. Her jump with resets and ult make it easy to keep enemies off you, her burst is great if only one person comes to stop your push, and the e waveclear is pretty fast.

      I think what makes it obvious if your bad or good on an adc is if you rotate for dragons. A smart adc will always want to keep that buff out of the enemies hands and in their own. If it’s uncontested and I need help bursting it down and you are too busy with plates than it’s safe to say you are not a good adc. You can always go back to killing minions, you can’t alway have that 5% dps boost from infernal drake.

Ashe E is super powerful for split pushing safely with the level of jungle tracking you can do with it. I know I'm a filthy bronzie, but I'd rate her way higher than you did for this on the merits of her E being useful for map tracking and long-range R being useful for contributing to far away fights.

    I'm sorry but I do have to point this out. The decision not to group after baron is so terribly bad it almost invalidates the whole video by itself. They were doing what they were supposed to after a baron kill, and the decision not to group and have your team dying when it was an easy win (you were already stronger than everyone else) and losing the baron buff for a couple of waves that achieved nothing is baffling. For some reason the enemy team decides to die 1 by 1 after that fight and that alone decided their fate, not the split pushing decision. The irony of it is when you ask "what would tryndamere do?" he is actually on the teamfight. At most, he should be pushing, not you. 13:15

    Honestly, the split-pushing example is kinda harsh to perform on some ADCs, but, ya gotta do what ya gotta do, playing dirty is the only way you'll be having any impact on the game as an ADC most of the time.
    I remember an exact situation like this before, top got camped and I got support gapped to shit. Enemy team went mid and top and I was just splitting as Sivir. Cue in my jungler flaming me saying: "Just group, you noob. Don't you know you're better in teamfights?" and I just said "Just don't fucking fight then, innit? Just defend mid and be a nuisance to the enemy". Jungler actually asked me: "How?" and I replied "By killing minions, Mr Tarzan, did you spend that much time in the jungle that you forgot what those are? Don't try killing the enemy, just clear the waves"
    Surely enough, I was a level up on the enemy ADC and 1.5k gold. Of course, this was during plat, it's a bir harder to do in D+

      You cry, finish pushing the wave, recall to defend (clear waves not engage ofc) and spam ping objective hopefully on the other side of the map
      Or if you can't stop them (in time) anyway, you assess if you're in any danger and if not, stay on the opposite site, keep pushing, preferably take a turret in return while they take the turret/inhib anyway most likely. Happens a lot after 4 of your teammates die. They will ping you to defend the inhib 1v4/5, which is likely not possible anyway so you should keep pushing and get something in return.

      There is definitely a more niche/advanced scenario, but it still operates on the same fundamental. First, ask if you can even defend their push if you recall. If the answer is no, then you know to keep split pushing. If you can defend, then ask if they will take more than what you'll take if you keep splitting. For example, if you continue splitting would take 1 tower, but they'd take 1 tower and 1 inhibitor, and you know you can prevent that if you recall, well then recall. The vast majority of the time though split pushing will be the correct decision.

    For those questioning the legitimacy of this concept, I am a Season 11 Vayne Main that climbed up to Masters 300ish LP using this strategy myself.
    Methodology works, but as explained in the video, it takes both good macro and precise map awareness to pull it off. Also no missing a single minion or cannons.
    You would typically use this strat when you have a bad lane/bad support.
    Back in Season 11, you could continue pushing the wave even if someone were to send someone to defend if you were both mechanically and physically strong enough to outplay and kill the defender.
    Not every game you should perma-split push even after you come back though. Once you reach your power-spike as Vayne, most times back in Season 11 it was more optimal for me to have to group and solo carry teamfights. This also requires good mechanics and can make things dicey, but it's converting from making 100% guaranteed plays/0% fail to making 70% guaranteed/30% fail plays. Even if you reached your power-spike but your damage is still meaningless, then you go back to split-pushing, so be flexible/adaptable to what's happening in your games!
    Playing again after quitting for 2 years today, I've noticed that it's harder to kill the defender and it would be more optimal to play the safer route and take enemy camps or rotate into fights/picks instead. Happy climbing!

But these two are really hard to learn so most ADC's end up in melee range and loose automaticly.

      And kiting / spacing is so hard when they have champs that can run 420+ MV, closegaps habilities and even invulnerability to cc

    • @Crowned_Hearts
      @Crowned_Hearts 2 года назад +1

      @@jorgesotolopez204 yeah that too. Champs that cant dash either have on demand crowd control, are a tank or a mage. Adc's have none of these. Thats why some People have started taking exhaust when the enemy team has a zed, katarina etc. There is a reason why Adc's like Samira and Ezreal and Cailyn are popular. Samira has defensive utility and a dash that resets, ezreal has Range and a blink and caitlyn has crowd control, a short dash and range. All of the popular Adc's are either safe to use or have the damage to oneshot enemies before the enemies one shot them. Jinx is another popular ADC and one of the only redeeming qualities of Jinx is that even tho her traps take a sec to activate they interrup dashes keeping her safe from all enemies that rely on a single dash to gap close like kha rengar etc. But even then its not great as she has to have pre-existing knowledge of the enemies position to stop them.

    Also when your teammates in low elo see you split push and take jungle camps as an adc, they are going to spam ping question marks on you and start freaking out. A lot of the macro stuff that high elo players use just simply doesn’t work in low elo, however the “what would tryndamere do” is very helpful to me 👌🏼

    I hate how this game is just becoming “Don’t act like a team, just use your team as decoys because that’s all they’re good for.” And the most frustrating part is that it works. I miss this being a team game.

    • @a-drewg1716
      @a-drewg1716 2 года назад +4

      well it is a team game... just at higher levels were the team is competent enough to play together. It is really like any sport with a team. At a low level play in say basketball it is honestly just better for you to more or less play for yourself to get all of the baskets because if you are good enough you can easily dominate a game. You team is really just there to block the enemy players and maybe pass you the ball if they get the chance. It isn't until you actually get to a competent level of play that you need and actually can play as a team to win.

    This is really irrelevant if you consider its impossible to get a low elo team NOT to fight at any given time. They are fighting with or without you. You could literally be hitting the nexus and still get flamed for not showing up to a full teamfight over the skuttlebug that died 2 minutes ago.

    this explains a little why as a top laner going into adc, i feel pretty comfortable, also most bot laners play SUPER passive compared to top laners, they don't push counter picks or mechanical advantages to hard, so it's really easy to "lose gracefully" as they say and let yourself get carried.

    In low elo this wont always work because if you take jungle camp and if you dont group there is a big chance that your team start to troll or flame. One game I did take the golems and the jungler was mad and started to take bot lane cs. This happen very often. One last example when I solo pushed bot lane as adc and the enemy bot lane was mid killed my mid laner, and he was so mad that he decide to follow me all game long until we lose. This technique might work in gold and platinum but below this, people's mental are too weak.

  • @UnmatchedSkills
    @UnmatchedSkills 2 года назад

    the biggest issue i run into is while waiting for the wave to bounce back to my side, my jungler will just hijack the wave mid-push and take that farm instead. this usually ends up in them over extending and dying half the time, or starving me of farm.
