I am on the fence about buying one right now, it not using usb C is killing it for me though. I have had soo many issues with every device that uses micro-USB, the cables ALWAYS fail.

Literally been making voices for each character. Switch voices with each toon and RP the whole time. Fun for me. Don't care what the others on discord think =)
You can put your mic stand on something soft, like a towel, and that will reduce vibrations. If no one wants to mess with the suspension rig and they like the mount that much.

easily achievable with any other mic and voicemod installed , plus voicemod allows yout to make your custom voice and has more options , you're paying extra for a logo and mic stand that you'll ditch for a mic arm..
Great video. Personally I would not go with a Yeti for the price. For that kind of money I would go with a Rode Podcaster. Basically does the same thing but is a dynamic mic instead of a condenser, which can help with background noise. It also has a pop filter built in. Just get the shock mount with it and any desk stand or arm for a mic. Also get a foam cover, it's like a face mask for microphones if you know what I mean. ;)
Had to crank my volume up for this video lol at least it's a representation of the mic quality anyway. Sounds pretty much like the original Yeti. Anybody that wants to use AI get rid of keyboards, background noise, even other people in the room, you can use NVidia Audio (that cool thing that was announced with the RTX3XXX series) - you only need an Nvidia card, doesn't have to be the elusive RTX 3 series!
Hello! Is there a way I could hear the voice effects in my own headphones while using them? Right now I can't hear the effect until after I record it. I basically am not hearing it in my ears and I want to. Is this possible? THANK YOU!!!
For someone like me that doesn't stream or doing voiceover for RUclips, I did find the Yeti X that I tried to not be worth it. It's picking up too much background noise unless You got it very close to your face, and I actually prefer a headset with a built-in microphone for Discord. Even tried to use it with Nvidia's RTX Voice, and while it worked great it wasn't that reliable, all of sudden it could crash and only way to solve it was to restart your computer - and that's not something You want during a raid ^^. My initial purpose for this mic was to use it in combination with a pair of really good headphones that walk all over every gaming headset there is. But in the end I prefered the convenience of a normal gaming headset, and it's not like I can enjoy the "quality sound" out of my good headphones anyhow while on Discord listening to all kinds of crap mics. So now I got 1 pair of headphones for music/solo gameplay and 1 wireless headset for the freedom :D Just pointing it out for all out there considering a USB Mic for Dicord. Great review!

I would just be using my MacBook and external monitor; no high-graphics gaming streams etc.
I'm pretty disappointed that they didnt build in some time of rycote or banded suspension mount between the base an the mount at that price point and with such an emphasis on the mount looking dope as fuck

The reason is they pick up your mouth noise (You would be surprised how much saliva and other noise’s your mouth makes with your every word) and all the other noises around where you record (keyboard, mouse click's. Outside voices like neighbors or even cars passing through) so I would recommend something not " Condenser “

I ordered one of these for my streamed dnd games, should be interesting, I do a lot of gruff accents on my own but am not as good at higher ones so I might try out the voice editors (it was cheaper on Amazon at the moment than the regular blue yeti x, I didn't realize it was world of warcraft until after I ordered it lol, I used to play wow but I only played solo so after I reached around level 60 I got bored of playing alone and went on to other games

Hazel I think there was something wrong with your video export, the part where you should be trying the gnome and gnome extreme voice mods just has your normal voice without any mod 🤔
Serious question for anyone who has a yeti x. I have gone through three in the course of a few months (fortunately, Yeti is always happy to replace the defective mic). The problem is the usb port on the microphone. I have seen usb problems on other yeti's, but have had no luck finding a real solution. Basically, after minimal use of the mic (1-3 weeks), the microphone can lose connectivity with very slight movement. I am careful with the mic, and truly do not see how this can be a user error. It is also clear that the problem is not computer or software related.
I'm gonna get this purely for the voice mods, I love stuff like that, I might get an arm and a shock mount too while I'm at it. The Lich King voice mod didn't sound right, but I assume it can't be perfect for everyone's voice. He is male after all, so it will sound differnt when a woman speaks.
My USB port stop working after a week. or its the headphone jack not sure...has this happened to anyone else? I can hear out of my headset for 4 seconds and it goes out. its not my headset bc it works fine in my old yeti nano
It looks cool and I kind of like it. However the ONE gripe I have with it is that it DOES NOT HAVE XLR Which I hate because now I cannot use it with my GOXLR in the way god intended... With XLR. Yeah you can use the 3.5mm workaround, but it's just never going to be as good man :(

I have had the same issue with both of my yeti's my second being this mic and I barely move it around. I havent even had the WoW one for a week.
