Second ride: 1998 Honda Valkyrie

Recently got this 1998 Honda Valkyrie, and the first sunny day came when I could get out and ride it. Took for a spin on the main streets, and a quick freeway stint to try to get used to the handling compared to my dualsport bike. Temps were just above freezing, but it was a great ride. Still a little shaky in some aspects, but gaining confidence and skill.

The more you ride it the more you will fall in love with your Valky and you have a nice one. Enjoy!! From the Aussie Valkaholic. I have a black and silver one just like yours (1998) PS you might want to check the idle RPM, it sounds a little high.

Ya, the idle is way high. The fellow I bought it from had the carbs rebuilt, but I don't think they were tuned. They need to have the idle set, then be synced... A project I'm planning for this spring - which is virtually here now; I better get on it!
