The Model Ship - Part 2138

  • THIS IS NOT A TUTORIAL It is more of a daily personal diary, or perhaps a vlog, centered around the building of plastic model ships. Don’t be surprised when I unexpectedly, but usually just momentarily, get into something completely unrelated. I was big into building models years ago. Apparently I’m trying to bring back “the good old days” by building plastic model ships. Feel free to learn from my mistakes while I muddle through this.

    Yes Ron, I enjoy looking at the walkers too. I admire their tenacity going for their walk rain or shine! If they can do that, then the least we can do is watch them cross that bridge every day. If we see them, then all is right with the world!!

    Great show, Ron. Don't sweat the wheel... the instructions definitely should have been clearer. I also enjoy seeing the walkers. Best wishes to Max for his upcoming surgery and Happy Birthday to Missy. See you tomorrow.

    I agree with “coalsmoke”. At least you have two chances of keeping the wheel out of the way of other parts. Flip it each way when it’s time to install and maybe you’ll get lucky.
    I was wondering if you continued trying different spices in your coffee. If you did, which did you like the best?
    As always, enjoy the videos. Good health to you Ron!

    Hi Ron, looking at the instructions that appears to be an easy mistake to make,hopefully it won't make too much of a difference later on. See you tomorrow😊

    Hi Ron. I hope I’m on time. Before you place the piece with the wheel in the wrong place, why don’t you try to turn it around. To me both parts in the extreme look the same length so you might end up with the wheel in more or less the same place. Hope this helps and if not, as long as you are happy with it, it’s perfectly fine. If only you knew how many times I glue things in the wrong place or upside down or… well so many endless combinations for my mistakes….

    Pity about the rod and wheel, however you might just get away with mounting the assembly the wrong way round... back to front and front to back. The proportions of the thing look about right. But check for obstructions and clearance! Good luck.

    Hello Ron! I ve got my power back yesterday, and restored my internet by getting a new system, as the previous cable system will be offline until about April, or so they estimate. I have so missed the daily videos, the walkers, even Missy the dog! " I am a Cat guy" still barely any phone signal. By the way if you shoot me a short msg from your cell phone, I can send a few photos of my bismarck, now complete. It's 1/350 scale so it doesn't have the details of yours, but I think it turned out ok, would like your opinion

    The wheel looks to be the same distance from the end as it would have been from the other end were it glued on correctly. Hence, why not just glue in that shaft assembly backwards?

  • @jamesvogel3672
    @jamesvogel3672 7 дней назад

    Ron i think that if you end for end it will come out about the same dimensions for the wheel location check it out ohh by the way i still enjoy your postings

    I imagine you could cut it out - and then "splice" the wheel in where it's supposed to go...

    Very bad instructions.
    No worries.
    When fitting it turn the whole thing end to end to fit
