What a really useful video. Just what I was looking for . How would you classify the groove you played ? Swing / shuffle . / triplet feel etc ? This is so helpful for arranging any song . You have a lovely technique . Very enjoyable . Thanks
Had the pleasure of studying, for a hot second, with a teacher who studied with Dave Van Ronk. I had to stop because my work life exploded after lockdown. He’s now too booked, and expensive? Is there a way to try your online course, or an introductory offer?
You just missed a free workshop that David does on what his website is about. He does it about once a quarter, breaking down how he teaches learning a song, how to get the groove of the basic form and then building a full composition with different sections and improv. I think he may have some of those on this RUclips channel. Definitely subscribe to his newsletter for free tabs to some of these RUclips lessons, notices of upcoming workshops, and his interesting writing.
If David increased the price of his course it would still be a fraction of what someone would charge for one on one teaching. Just buy a month and test it out. It’s well worth it
