I'm 51 and grew up an avid ATC/ATV enthusiast, owning several machines including an ATC250R in my teens. At the time I was subscribed to 3-wheeler magazine and had pictures of ATC's and 4-wheelers all over my walls. It's awesome that you have all these great machines of that time period and doing this fun drag races etc and sharing the fun with this YT channel. You're son should be very grateful to have such a cool dad!!
The 350x is deceivingly quick being so smooth and quiet, probably the best all around three wheeler with that torque monster engine and less fussy maintenance than the two strokes, shifting was perfect!
Nice race! I never thought about matching up these two machines, but it was pretty close. Don't worry about troll comments, they are just jealous of your collection.
A lot of great memories for me on our 85 350x. I loved drag racing against 250rs up Comp and Olds at Glamis back in the late 80’s and early 90’s and every now and then when I won, it was such a great feeling hahaha!
@@TheMapleDude1 yes, you should. Looks like you are a pretty busy Maple dude during the winter months though. Riding season out here is late October through March/April.
Put a Pro Circuit pipe kit with bigger jets, K&N Pro Flo Kit. Get Vforce reed cage and reeds. Also put an ultra-light flywheel on the Blaster and it will take that 4-stroke trike every time.
I have owned both of these machines at different times (3 blasters) and your blaster is running very well to hang with that 350 from what I remember. Although the reason that I owned 3 blasters is because their was a time when you could buy ugly ones that ran for 6 to 800 bucks. They all got new piston and rings, but they were well ridden before I bought them. I would always buy cheap running things just so a buddy who didn't have anything at the time to get divorced because of his new addiction. Scratch that. I meant to say; have fun too. At 54 and having rode most of those years, I really enjoy your channel's reviewing the power of these bikes against each other, having wondered about some of these stacking up over the years, and with having 3 sons myself, I really dig what you're doing as a father. Keep up the good works gentleman. Braaap, Braaap, Thump, Thump.
You guys have to come up with a friend or relative to start these races. Power shifting would make all the difference in these races as well. Fun to watch
No replacement for displacement love the torque monster 350x I have always been and will always be a Honda fan but I love all the vintage trikes and quads and dirtbikes all the same but nothing beats a vintage Honda 🤙🏻 thanks for sharing.
@@TheMapleDude1 I'm not trying to hate on you or anything, I love your videos, but I have a Blaster and if you don't ring it out it is slower... It's the nature of a 2stroke. I could hear it bogging when you would shift early... I wish I could race you with mine lol
That Blaster runs really good, but the old 350X is a freight train and just keeps pulling. Fyi: My old 350X always pulled hardest when you short shifted it and kept it in the meat of the torque band!
Beautiful old survivor that 350x. Nice! 👍🏻 I understand the 350x has the original tires, but if it had better tires on the rear I think the 350x would take the holeshot and never look back. Looked like a lot of wheel spin for the old 350 on the launch. I run Holeshots GNCC on my 250r as well as on the 350x. Awesome traction in the gravel. Little Blaster looks like a strong runner though, not taking that away from it. Cool video guys! 🍻🤘🏻
Put a 400ex head pipe and carb on the 350x makes a big difference. You have to cut the pipe and weld it to slip the silencer on. I actually used a big gun 400ex silencer on mine
@@TheMapleDude1 the big gun does I don’t know about other brands. It has a spring attached to the pipe you pull the spring and turn the pipe and put the spring back on lines right up. I’ll have to make a video to explain better
And the blaster have bad transmission is too short in my family haven and that is a problem whit the blaster and is too short to chassis when you take to fast turn you can overturn the squad easy
I understand that. But no matter what we do or how we shift, we are told we are too early or too late in the exact same video. It's different when you are actually riding.
I thought the blaster had a real chance but I wonder (don’t know) if the gearing played into the result, the 350 just had more top end. Shifting…. You guys use the clutch to shift? No wonder you’re so slow 😉
I own two blasters and i think this wasrigged like the election with trump and biden .😂😂😂. That was great , one day when you go to the vitos 240 big bore kit . It will definitely walk away from that 350 .You guys have an awesome day.stay safe and gave fun

350x vs 350 warrior. That would be close
Good race.

Thanks cobra. More to come in the future!
Holy Moly. How random that I found your channel. I grew up in Clark County, WI! I miss that place.
Cool
What part of Clark Co?
Great video guys. Exactly the result I was expecting. Nice riding by both guys.
Thanks for the positive feedback!

Buddy use to have a 350X supertrap exhaust with cam man that thing was fast.
If you find a supertrapp now that's rare.

It's been ported already with reeds.

I agree on the start.
I just like what you guys are doing while honestly being a little jealous of the beautiful machines you're getting to play with rock on!

It's great to see you guys out having fun with each other. Blaster's are a fun machine to ride. Keep ripping up the dirt!!!

Yeah it a great 3wheeler one of the best!
Nice.... But dad, your short shifting the hell out of the Blaster.... Rev that baby out more
Haha I laugh only bc no matter how we shift someone will say we're too fast or not fast enough. Thanks for the input, though.

Which Honda would be faster the 350x atc or a 400ex?
Id like to know.
Great job
Thanks
I was actually surprised by the 350x. Forgot how good they were.
Yeah it's surprising no other manufacturer made a big 4 stoke!
Good job guys. Hey Jack your dad is cool
Haha thanks.
Great video as always!! Just wanting for a 2-stroke labeled maple syrup bottle to buy! Lol great job guys!!
How about 2 stoke oil infused maple syrup?
@@TheMapleDude1 lol yea! Or just a picture in the bottle works too.
If you have ever had a blaster, you don't take off in first gear if you're racing somebody.
Always take off in second because first gear is too short.
Ok boss.
You have a nice collection
Thanks many years of looking for them.
King Kong WINS! Thanks for sharing!
You bet!
Great video guys! Screw the haters yall are entertaining 😊

I've had a couple 350x's my first one was built pretty sweet not much would touch it back then. granted I was just a young 120# kid lol
Awesome. They are a lot of fun... lots of memories.
40lb body weight is such a huge difference on 300lb machines. This is a perfect example when you guys switch.
Very true agreed.
Blaster could have probably won with a different sprocket
It could be close that's for sure.
Put a 400ex head pipe and carb on the 350x makes a big difference. You have to cut the pipe and weld it to slip the silencer on. I actually used a big gun 400ex silencer on mine

Yes they are small.

Nice video, great races, definitely not the same results the son is a better rider/shifter passed you way sooner than you did.
I'll take it... I guess
You short shifted the blaster
Maybe
Dad is the better rider.

the 2nd blaster driver shift 1st 8K rpm 2nd 7K 3rd 6K 4th 5K it no good
