Excellent video. My Harley-Davidson days are over, but I did purchase an expensive smoker I plan on leaving out on the (covered) patio. We live in a small apartment and my wife won’t let me bring the smoker in. LOL. After searching Amazon, I found this alarm and thought it would do the job. Got it in the mail today, so no it’s mounting time. By the way, that’s one beautiful bike...to bad it’s not a Harley. LOL. Keep the rubber on the road my friend and be safe out there.
Sounds like a great plan depending on the smoker your using be sure to mount it where the heat wont melt the plastic and where it cant be seen. Trust me I would love to have a Harley but dam just cant afford it, so I have my little cruiser bike the Yamaha Virago 250, on days I truly want to enjoy a comfortable ride through the mountain side. Be safe and enjoy the smoker I smell some good food around the corner already!
Thank you so much for being thoughtful to post this video. The poorly written instructions are worthless. I have a law degree, but still couldn't understand the instructions. You made it very simple for a female as to how to figure out how the alarm works. I didn't know what the purple thing was for. It would be considerate for the makers of this product to hire competent English language writers. It was easy to follow your instructions. Thank you again.
I bought this one and install in my mountain bike and also in my old car... Instead paying for another $150.00 more to install my car alarm i will try to install this to my old car see how loud it its... thanks for the video///
James Rock Thanks for watching I’m glad you enjoyed the video, for such a tiny inexpensive device it definitely serves it’s purpose. I still use it till today and it sounds as loud as it did when I made this video. Like I said any precautions you can take towards something getting stolen or to use as a deterrent from something getting stolen is worth the peace of mind. Be safe out there and thanks for stopping by.👍🏼
I just bought and installed this into my Ducati Monster 1200. I think $25 is worth it for this device. So far it seems solid and fully functional. I don’t like the remote so much though. If I put it into my pocket I sometimes arm the device because the buttons are being pushed inside my pocket.
Still using mine and I agree great small device for a huge piece of mind. Thanks for watching and please ride safe that Ducati Monster 1200 is a beast!!
wmayumi1 Thanks for watching and your welcome. Good security device to have and it’s not very expensive. Sounds very loud as well and will attract attention.👍🏼✌🏼
Sir, Thanks a lot for this explanation which was very difficult to comprehend from the manual which was provided with the alarm system. BUT YOU MADE IT SOOOO EASY FOR ME...for My MT15... I too lost my previous bike which got stolen from outside my house. *"Can you please please explain the SOS function of the same alarm which is shown on the box and which ,the company claims to be very popular function amongst buyers of this alarm system.#*
#justiceforssr #justiceforssr Thanks for watching I’m glad you enjoyed the SOS function basically will set the alarm off when it’s at a 45° angle this is mostly recommended for a bicycle not so much a motorcycle in the event someone’s mountain biking and they fall and cannot be seen immediately the alarm will trigger in hopes to locate the person that fell off the bicycle. You can also look at it kind of like an SOS feature that you’ll find for elderly people, like a medical bracelet where if they push the panic button it will send a signal to send someone for help indicating they fall iand they cannot get up on there own. Hope this helps.👍🏼✌🏼
There's strength in numbers. I use these on all my e-bike builds. They're cheap and easy to use. You can get additional remote batteries on Amazon.com. 27A 12V Alkaline Battery (5-Pack) $6.99. I would also recommend " Maso Motorbike Handlebar Lock Aluminum Alloy Anti-Theft Brake Level Lock for Motorbike Motorcycle Bike Scooter Moped ATV(Black)" , also found on Amazon. It's a really quick lock to lock your brakes using the brake lever on the handle bar. Check it out. $20.00 on Amazon. Thanks for the Video. The combination of the alarm... making it harder to move the bike, and adding GPS Tracking can make all the difference. If your bike is stolen and you have a GPS Tracker on it, You can, not only Track it, but Listen In On All The Sound Around It! It comes at a Premium, but you and the Cops can hear what's going on so they'll be less likely to be put in harms whey trying to get your bike back. You Might Even Get Your Bike Back. Be careful though because some GPS Trackers Don't give you all the details regarding payment peramitors. Do your homework before you commit.
If I park away from home, I use at least a disk brake lock that has a built in alarm. And I alarm my bike with the alarm in this video. I also put on the kill switch and turn off the gas (just as a delay to the thief) and lock the forks. If I'll be away from my bike for an hour or more or if I'm in a less crowded area I might use a cable alarm on the rear wheel, which also has a built in alarm (including the alarm activated by cutting the cable). That's added to the two disk brake locks and the alarm and the other steps I mentioned before. At home I do all of the second steps and I have a chain that will give you a hernia it is so thick and heavy that can not be cut with bolt cutters and chain the bike to my porch. I then cover it with a tarp so what is under the tarp is not easily recognized.
Derek Wallace Thanks for watching, you sir are definitely taking all precautions needed to hopefully prevent someone’s loved possession in this case their motorcycle from being stolen. I could tell you were a man that loves your ride be safe 👍🏼
@@solisapaul Thanks I used to be in Law Enforcement. What we always taught people was that anything can be stolen, just make it hard enough so they'll go to your neighbors and not you. : )
Tommy Denda Thanks for watching if the alarm is triggered but left alone immediately after, then it will sound for around 35seconds, however if the alarm is triggered but not left alone it will continue until no movement is detected. Hope this helps.
It does not send a alarm to the remote? Is there one that does tht? Like is someone lived in apartments, they might not hear alarm, but if their remote beeped when alarm went off that would be nice...
Sorry for the late response. Thanks for watching. To answer your question YES there is an alarm that will work with a remote alarm. This is universal but requires more wiring. This is just one of several but this one is not to high in price like others. Here is the link. I hope this helps. Keep in mind it will require more wiring but doesn't look to difficult. www.amazon.com/BANVIE-Motorcycle-Security-Original-Factory/dp/B077N67RK2/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=motorcycle%2Balarm%2Bwith%2Bremote%2Balert&qid=1615431325&sr=8-5&th=1 Ride well and stay safe.
hey thanks for the video. I have the problem that my mirrors get stolen often and I have to pay extra 100-200 $ each time to get new ones. Would it trigger the alarm if someone carefully unmounts the mirrors in the front?
Sorry to hear this Martin you have a very good question? I suppose that since the alarm is a small device you might be able to set the alarm to very sensitive and set it somewhere un-noticeable tucked away inside the front cowl so that if they happen to move the handles during this process it would hopefully trigger the alarm. I you tighten the mirrors enough to where it wont damage the threads it might be enough for the thieves to force more movement on the grips (Handle Bars) and hopefully causing the alarm to detect the vibration. I sure hope this advise helps? Thanks for watching and again so sorry for this issue your having, some people simply have no morals let alone respect to others.
