I really like this one especially the pose you created here and lineart, great work. :) Just a personal preference or tip, or whatever you call: Maybe next time when you draw flames on a character, perhaps it would fit a new weak light source? I think that flame itself emits some light on the character and some bluish/white low opacity light layer mode light would look nice too. :) I can't really distinguish between flame and light it emitted in this drawing.

I don't smudge very much, I mostly try to blend with just colors and my brush.
