this game is really pretty but i got overwhelmed by all the meta progression and choices that are to be made before a run even starts... i just want a roguelike where i dont have to think about any of that crap and just enjoy a fresh run. nothing to choose before the run. no characters. no stats. just a true rogue experience where all the options are to be made during the run
There's a lot to like about this game, but the few sloppy bits are really holding it back. For example, did you know that there's a limit of ten passives? It's super unclear. Then all the tooltipping usually doesn't tell you how much an upgrade is actually going to do for passives. The typal proc abilities either don't update their tooltips or the math is different from what it tells you. Then there's balance. In higher difficulties the tank/lifesteal perks become irrelevant because everything oneshots you. This might change once you hit endless and unlock the additional growth mechanic, but you have to beat max corruption in order to unlock that. I've tried, but multiple times end up smashed into paste by a stiff breeze. Keep in mind that's with most other progression (other than runes) as maxed as possible.
"Hey look, they show you with which thing the other thing does a fusion now." Never even attempts to take the fusion items and instead takes a random priest staff as third weapon. Come on, mate.
Mhh apparently the game is riddled with bugs though. Which is a shame. On the sourface it looks just amazing, but there are a lot of reviews mentioning quite severe issues and they are recent reviews.
Do you understand how much longer and how much more money it takes to design and develop a story based rpg? The reason roguelikes/lites and more specifically bullet heavens are flooding the market right now is because they are cheap and pretty easy to make. A lot of assets get reused. And for a sum total of hundreds of hours of gameplay, you only have to design roughly a 20 minute loop. Don't get me wrong, I love my super deep rpg as much as the next person. But the reality is that these games simply can't come out at the same frequency as roguelikes.
0:25 Tree fiddy!? This game is surely a plot by the loch ness monster to get my money!
Thanks for the highlight. I will pick this up and would definitely be interested in more content!
I forgot I even had this game, it looks so good now! Will have to check it out
Probably going to pick this 1 up. Even without the sale it seems a decent price. I mean it's only like 1$ more when it's not on sale.
"This game has more skill option than diablo 4" I laugh way too hard at that ahah

Oh dude, I recorded another video for it. I am seeing all the cracks now.
