Thanks so much for your very helpful video, managed to pick up a red ECOM311R for £94, coffee tasted like gnat's pee initially, my fault for not waiting for the middle green light to come on, lol! Incidentally you can fit a full size mug in there by removing the metal tray cover and if necessary, the plastic drip tray underneath as well.
Hi, thanks for your video, very helpful. Liked & subscribed! Does your plastic milk frother extension keep falling off? Any tips how to put it back on, mine won't grab the metal spout deeply enough to be secure whatever I do with the rotating swivel thingy on the top of the wand extension itself. HELP! PS I see you have a very nice grinder there, which do you recommend for expresso finenes?
Great review, thanks! I’ve just got this machine and have found water leaks through from the back. I’ve done everything I can to make sure it’s fitted properly but it keeps happening (and it’s day 1!). Any suggestions on what I’m doing wrong? 🙏🏼
im puting one of these together for a friend, im buying new parts. the thing you put the filter in, the black handle thing, mine doesnt have the metal tick things inside that hold the pot in, do you think it would still work? (and anyone saying 'just try it' no. i dont have any pods spare
@@PinkiethePanda sorry I think I misunderstood. So you have the metal filter insert but the little metal bits that hold the filter into the handle aren’t there? I think it would work with pods if you have the pod specific. Insert/filter yes, once it’s put into the machine that should hold it all in place.
Until the right amount is there is the easiest method, but baristas will tell you the coffee should brew for a set period of time. I think it’s around 20 seconds plus infusion time
I like this but drink about ten cups of coffee a day and so it's better to just stick with filter and jug. I'd literally be putting an hour a day into this. But thanks for the review, the amount of time helped me decide not to buy it.
Hey mate. It should go through nice and evenly and leave a flat “puck” of coffee at the end! I found it very good for the price. I’ve since upgraded to a sage which allows more Customisation etc
Error: There are nodules on the filter which should be lined up with the spaces on the holder and it just slots in and does not need to be forced. When ready to empty and clean it will just fall out.
My Micalite doesn't have these nodules, the filter is held in by springs and does need to be forced as per this video. The different Iconica has nodules but also a mechanism in the handle to hold the filter in place for emptying if you wish to use it.
A. Plamenova hi, I’ve tried it with non-dairy milk with no luck, it just makes it warm. However you can get ‘barista’ style oat milk which I’m told does froth up!
Thanks for the review. Do you need to run the water out of the machine and frother before every use? Or is it just to flush the machine when you first get it? Cheers
Jamie Iles just when you first get it mate. If you’re using it regularly then I would probably flush it every couple of months just to give it a clean or if you haven’t used it in a while just to clean it out!
danvanillabear is it firing any steam out if you just press the button without the nozzle in anything? Are you letting the light go off before pressing the frother button? If it is actually spitting steam out just make sure there isn’t too much milk in your cup and swill it round as you do it!
Thanks for quick reply. I have completely cleaned nosle and the air hole is clear. There is only 1/3 Of milk in container. I Haven't yet tried swirling aswell as streaming but when I do steam I bubbles and spits milk. When not in milk ut us producing steam. I was thinking it may be a faulty machine. Unsure
danvanillabear maybe it’s not producing enough steam, but strange that some is coming through! Only think I can say is rather than leaving the nozzle at the bottom of the milk (this will just heat the milk up) swirl it about so the tip of the nozzle actually leaves the milk momentarily then drops back in. When I worked in a bar this was always the best way to get the frothiest milk. If that doesn’t work then I’d be inclined to call DeLonghi!
Jamie Pav yeah I’ve tried the tip near the top but still nothing. Haven't tried the swirling though so this will be the next and prob last thing I try before the call. Thanks so much for advice
Scottish Force official I have had this machine for a couple of years now and the creme is consistent as long as your coffee is fresh. Please don’t force the filter into the holder as shown. There are nodules to line them up together.
I made a small change I disassembled the filter of the machine by removing the screw, once removed I cleaned it. With the machine off, I turned the screw that is inside the machine, it is a rectangular type, I turned the machine on and I saw that more water comes out but perhaps it is because there is much more steam, the coffee is much creamier, trying is believing. Do not unscrew too much as inside there is a ball with a spring which presses the steam, unscrewing more comes out. I don't remember by eye I unscrewed it for a turn maybe a turn and a half.
yourkingdomcome yourwillbedononearthasinheaven which part of it?? Obviously where the water comes out of and the milk frother yes but I haven’t noticed it anywhere else. The top gets warm too as it’s a cup warmer!
long as it tastes nothing like coffee you put in a percolator dad bout one the other week and tried tons of different coffee and its all rank, nothing like if you get one in costa etc
marklola12 yeah this is the best way to do it, essentially the same way costa does it anyway! Then you just need some decent coffee...we only drink Django coffee company 👌🏼
thanks ill get one of these then since the milk frother seems to be a proper one, as on some machines it just seems to make a few bubbles in the milk haha there £129 on ebay but I have a 10% off code too so not too bad I guess
Hi, today was my first time to ever use this machine, I used the single espresso filter, and my coffee came watery and weak, any suggestions to get a stronger coffee?
Mariam Jahami make sure you really tamp it down hard, so the water is more difficult to pass through. Also you can try grinding the beans even finer as this slows the infusion and gives a stronger coffee. Failing that use the double filter so you can use more coffee!
@@mj4295 Thinking about getting one of these as my old delonghi doesn't seem to get the water really hot and pressure seems a bit lame. I assume this one might be a bit better can you confirm it has good pressure and is nice and hot? Feels rude just asking some random question to a random dude, I know you aren't the sales guy for them so I do appreciate your quick opinion.

Jamie, this water come out first is supposed to, is meant to warm up the cup which will be used for coffee 👍👍👍👍

Great review. I've been using mine for a few days and have found it easy to use. It's clear you've read the instructions well !

How many cups does this machine make with out getting broked? Any guarantee from the manufacturer?
It has a years warranty mate. Not sure how many cups but I’d imagine a significant amount
Hello im planing to bye the same model can you pls tell me ho long do you have it?
Does make nice espresso some isshues did you have
You can put a larger mug under the nozzle if you remove the drip tray.
Good review Pav, I imagine the coffee tastes much nicer than instant 👍

Can you steam the milk and make the coffee at the same time?
I’m not actually sure sorry, but I think with such a small machine it’s unlikely to have sufficient power for both!
no the green light needs to be on and it will go out indicating the water not hot enough.
hey mate, when the water is pouring through, does it make a goant hole or it goes pretty evenly through the filter ?
whats your opinion after using this machine ? still got it ?
