I think you can tell with how comprehensive his answers are when he's talking to someone he knows gets it versus someone who gets paid to write articles.
I've never seen interviews of him like this before, just the '''funny'' ones, the more I see him you realise he's very mature and takes the game very seriously.
The things that really makes Haaland stand out are his old-school mentality and his uncomplicated demeanor. He's not about the glitz and the glamour, the fancy cars or the ridiculous haircuts. He's all about football and striving for excellence at what he does. I don't think he's the most multidimensional striker by any means, but he's terrifyingly efficient in front of goal. He knows how to score, as simple as that. A true no-nonsense dude whose off-pitch persona matches that of the footballer.
He has surprising finesse, though. He's def gonna hog the penalties, but if a pass is better than a shot he's always going to give it to a team mate. And his chips are amazing. I just mean he's not some bull like Christian Vieri or anything. Just as strong, but a lot more layers to his game.
Agree 💯 that's why I said he reminds me more of Messi than anybody as opposed to Ronaldo even though Ronaldo was his idol he has the same humble modest down to earth demeanor Messi had
What a great mindset. I think everyone can learn from this: "... actually no matter what happens, it's motivation". He has the mindset of a winner. And I think we are getting ready for 15 years of dominance from this guy honestly. He already proved it at Dortmund, but as City striker he will probably score 35 this season.
He's clearly had training on his interviews from his first year. Guys a beast. My money is on him breaking records in his first Premier league season. He will get so many chances in that City team
I think he’ll break records but maybe not in the first season. Not only will he have to adapt to City’s play style, but City will have to adapt to his - they haven’t played with a recognised striker in a while
Good interview. I think the key to how successful Erling is as a player is his exceptional relationship with his father. That response he gave in which he spoke of how short a footballing career is really showed how carefully he's been listening to his father's advice. He's miles ahead of other footballers of his age!

I love how there’s so much hate for Haaland from other teams’ supporters. It simply defies logic & reason with some of the outlandish nonsense and bantering that’s being spit out about him. Few takeaways from CS game vs LP: - his movements in the box were damn good even when you bring up timing issues with the team which will improve as they play - he scored 2x and looked deadly doing it. Unfortunately, both goals were chalked off due to Silva shoulder sleeve offsides and the other from a ball, while in flight, stepped outside the goal line before coming back into the 6yrs box were there were plenty of bodies and amid the traffic, Haaland zipped it in. Both situations showed extreme poise in front of goal - pressuring the GK looked good - barreling into the 6yrs box for a ball, off balance shooting on target while simultaneously waving Andy R out of the way and to the ground. Demeanor on the pitch - focused, intense, and showing emotion. And yet, the banter is…he will be a flop. Yeah sure he will. SMH 😂😂😂💙💙
I wouldn't even bother arguing about whether he's gonna flop. He's proven it in Germany, he's proven it in the CL, you'd be silly to think he won't prove it in the Prem - with a team insanely good at creating chances...

I'm not sure I've ever really seen Pep as the type of manager who really drastically improves players that he gets in - sure he puts them in their best positions and teaches them some tactical knowledge etc on how to play his way, but in terms of the players Pep has had at his disposal most of the teams he's managed (if not ALL) are teams you expect to see with the absolute BEST players in the World playing for them already. Pep has managed Barca during one of the most insane periods of their history with players like Messi, Neymar, Iniesta and co making the ONLY competition to them as Real Madrid with their superstar talents, Bayern who won the league every year before he ever stepped foot there and he barely changed the winning formula whilst keeping and adding to an already very solid team and then Man City who have bought untold £millions worth of players who are already established, World-class players. I really don't know that Pep is gonna get more out of him compared to what other managers who are better at coaching players might do.

At his young age with this stable mentality is gonna make him one of the greatest in the future, he has a long way ahead of him and hopefully I will see him as an icon in the future, good luck Erling all the best mate.
Erling seems much more comfortable doing interviews in English now.
Give him a year immersed in the language and you'll have a new monster on your hands.
Zlatan, move over . . . . 😂
Soooo mature
Fast forward a week and he scores with his left foot.....this lad is a steam roller
