Have you ever kept a saltwater tank? If not, what's keeping you from doing it?
For now its money, I have turtles in my 130 g tank awaiting a 1200g pond ! Thats the tank I would use for saltwater :)
I have never kept one. Planing to in the future!
Your tank looks amazing!
@@ErnestAquatics awesome ! Thank you ! :)
That would be awesome. You nailed it though. So expensive
I absolutely love what you are doing with this tank! Adding the trellis was a nice touch and I love the rainbows! 😃
Loving the production of this tank!
Thank you! I'm having a lot of fun with it!
The trellis behind that tank is a great idea and it's going to look awesome. Great choice going with the rainbows. 👍
Thank you, sir! I'm really happy with the rainbows!
Love the wall garden idea

Man those pulsating polyps are so cool! I'm looking to scoop some up myself.
Yes!! I'm getting closer and closer to getting salty! 🙂😎
Beautiful work on the 125g, Jake! Great idea working the ivy on the wall. Love Rainbows and I've been wanting to set up a Rainbow tank for a while now. This gives me the inspiration to set one up for the new year...soonish, I hope. You haven't posted in a while...hope everything is okay. Happy New Year, and hope to see you posting again soon.
Brother ! The rainbows are beautiful !
Thank you!! I'm loving them so far!
Nice pickups my friend amazing looking ta6
Thank you, sir! I'm having a lot of fun with it!
I’ve always loved rainbow, but I never have a big enough tank that I can get them for. Your tank is beautiful though!
Thank you!! I've waited a long time to get a 125 and fill it with rainbows! Thanks for watching!
Great video. Like to see you start from scratch with a salt water tank. The beginning to end. That would be so interesting. When I finally downsize a little, I would love to start a small salt water tank. So much to decide on with salt. What about plants...lol coral instead. substrate, fish, filters, lights, skimmers, coral, money.... so much. my head is spinning already.
I would love to start a saltwater tank and document it. I've been getting the itch to... But like you said, it's so dang expensive.. thanks for watching 🙂
I'd give anything to have a 125.......coming along nicely!
This was my dream size! I finally got one and I love it!!
Im happy for you!@@RaccoonCreekAquatics

Sweet vid man! Was that a rainbow darter at 0:28? As for that pothos idea I love it, I had some growing in an rack system once and it quicker took over which made it look like a total jungle haha
Yes, that's a rainbow darter in my native tank!! My darters are one of my favorite fish!
@@RaccoonCreekAquatics Those are beautiful fish! I plan on having a native tank one day, I think it would be super fun going out collecting for small darters and minnows
Dear Jake:
I did keep a marine, 55-gallon tank for about a year. The fish did fine, but since the coral was doing poorly, I gave all the animals to someone with more experience keeping marine species.
Your, large tank is coming along nicely. Rainbowfish are an excellent choice for this set-up. I hope that you are able to get them to breed. My, personal, favorite rainbowfish (though I’ve never kept them) is the dwarf rainbowfish (Melanotaenia praecox). It’s vibrant colors of red finnage and metallic, blue body make it a stunning species.
I’ll be interested to see your set-up as the plants grow up the trellises from the tank.
Thank you for sharing this, terrific video.
All my best,
Sincerely,
E. J. Brinegar
Hey Brinegar!! I've been considering dwarf rainbow fish! I'm loving this tank. Having so much fun with it! Thank you for support!!
FIRST! Great video btw 😀
Thank you!!
3 years later, what are your thoughts on the lights? Would you do anything different as far as the lights are concerned?
What was the name of the fish store you got the fish and had clips of? I go to Cleveland area and always check out a store or two and didn't recognize that one.
I think it was RMS Aquaculture in the Strongsville area
