@paulhiakite251~I'm gonna miss Katy so much~~She's funny, sensitive, real, etc.~~I've been watching Idol from day 1 when Kelly won, and I knew she would~~All the years of changing Idol and all the different judges they've had my faves were Paula Abdul and I must say she was great in concert as well as Kelly~~Keith Urban I think was a judge for one season~~He was real and sweet~~Stephen Tyler who also was like sick, crazy good in concert~~Love him~~Of course Lionel and The amazing Katy who has it all and not afraid to show who she really is~~I will miss herso very very much~~How dare they replace Katy with Carrie Underwood~~All is she cares about is how she looks~~Always has to outsing anyone she performs with and only cares about herself~~I've watched Idol and The Voice from the very beginings of both shows~~I probably won''t be watching either as much because those shows are fixed and have been for a while now~~Most judges over the years from both shows, I mean the good ones have been replaced by not so great judges~~But I will miss Katy and I pray for her child and hubby and wish them all the love in the world~~Happy New Year and stay safe~~💖💖💖😃😃😃~~

@@Katykat2024 You're absolute right~~Katy is very sensitive, sweet, tough when she has to be because she really cares and when she sees potential in someone she lets them sing again and tells them to relax~~She really does care and she is real~~Like Kelly Clarkson was on The Voice~~I knew Kelly would win Idol from day one and I knew she would become famous~~My gut never lies~~She was and still is real~~Like Katy~~I will miss her so much~~Carrie I feel will not be a good judge because all she cares about is herself~Happy New Year and stay safe~~💖💖💖😄😄😄~~

Guys, I could only watch the first two performances. Katy is right. We need to change, but I fear it will never happen. Not as long as people are so convinced that guns are necessary. They are NOT !!! Nothing good comes from owning a gun. Ask any parent who lost a child by a gun shot...

Tell a family who depends on wild meat to feed their family that nothing good comes from a gun. No one hunts a deer with an automatic or a semi automatic. A rifle with a good scope is all you need. You can even do without the scope but ya need that gun.
Something is wrong with the kids that will walk into a school and shoot people they have gone to school with for years. If all guns disappeared tomorrow the killings would continue. Only it would be stabbings or bombs because these kids that kill have something missing in their brains. THAT is what we need to find out about. What causes a kid to kill? The gun doesn’t make him/her kill.
I believe that owning a gun is a responsibility. The owner must secure their fire arm and if they don’t and it is used by a kid in a killing the owners can go to jail too.
What has happened to kids. People used to keep a rifle over the fire place in rural areas to protect their animals from predators and their families from anyone who means them harm. Then people had a rifle behind the door easily accessible if a raccoon was after the chickens. In these two examples the gun was never used for a school shooting. In the 1950’s and 1960’s men carried a rifle in a gun rack in the back window of their pick up trucks. Young men drove those trucks with rifle intact in the back window to high school. To my knowledge there were no school shootings resulting from this practice. Then in the 1970’s up until Columbine families had decorative gun cabinets with a flimsy lock and glass doors. The kids didn’t get those guns out and play with them cause they KNEW that getting in that gun safe would cause them to get the whipping of their life from their Dad. Children were taught that guns were for hunting and protecting the farm from predators. They weren’t toys and kids were taught that death was final and you didn’t kill anyone. Many a boy got slapped up the back of the head for accidentally letting their gun point at someone. That was the very first rule kids learned when their Dad or Uncles were teaching them to hunt. Until Columbine I don’t think anyone ever thought to take a gun to school to harm a human. The Columbine shooting was on the news from one end of the USA to the other. After that you saw the decorative gun cabinets begin to be replaced with huge steel gun safes that only the man of the house had the combination and keys to open. I have only ever lived in rural areas so I don’t know how city people handle guns or how they teach their children gun safety but I do know how rural people secure their guns and how they teach their children to hunt.
I still say that something changed when kids began shooting up schools in the 1980’s. What changed and why can’t we figure out what changed. Have we developed a disregard for human life? Or is there another reason. Whatever it is has little to do with guns and much more to do with unhappy children. So if we are going to find the root cause of school shootings it seems we should start by studying school shooters and their parents who let their kids get hold of unsecured guns. Getting rid of all guns is short sighted because the honest law abiding folks would turn their guns in while the criminal element would keep theirs to kill, rape, and pillage. Instead of sending all that money over to Ukraine maybe we could use some of it to figure out what is wrong with our kids that they would do such things and begin with the person who grabs the gun to shoot up their school. Just an old country woman’s opinion.
