Humbuckers typically have higher gain right out of the box, but I run my sss strat through my setup and I can play heavy metal. It's all in how you play it. The guitarist for the story so far has humbuckers though
TSSF uses p90s so anything like les paul jrs or just anything p90 loaded

Joe Miller well I mean I very much prefer the les Paul Jr Gibson version not epiphone but for like $600 they play very well for me but I've played les Paul most of my life
