Howie is one of the players that solidified my Raider fandom. Always a treat to hear him speak. Since I'm on the topic of the Raiders, the idea that McDaniels won't change his system to build around the QB, or offense, tells me he's not a great coach. In my opinion, great coaches identify what works with their roster, and then they construct a scheme accordingly. It worries me that Josh will always put himself and his ideology over the success of the team. Always a great show. Thank you for making RUclips a better place
Also the fact that we've seen this same shit happen before in Denver. He couldn't deal with Cutler and Marshall, had to bring "his guys" in, then the team imploded. Like you said, good coaches change their playbook for the players, not the other way around. McDaniels was riding Belichik's and Brady's coattails for two decades in New England, and Mark Davis was dumb enough to fall for the scam.
I agree bro..partially.. JMD not changing his offense is smart. HE JUST GOT THERE..He hasnt even established a foundation yet...Thats smart coaching..Pete Carroll aint changing either ! Andy Reid didnt change for Mahomes..it was plug , learn and play when its your turn...Thats great coaching...If u know ball ...

My dad died 10 days ago and we are die hard raiders 😢 I was born in Oakland Saturday night before the Super Bowl 1984 when the LA Raiders beat the skins. Dad watching the game we me in the hospital and mom was mad😂 he would have loved this. Howie is my favorite raider because I grew up seeing him in movies 😂 miss you dad.
As a 6’4” dude who took a ride in an F-15. That plane is definitely not built for taller folks. They had one pilot over 6’. His call sign was Tree Man and he said he had to fight to get into that fighter. He was too tall, or right at the limit for G consideration etc. That’s prob why a lotta short king pilots:-). Great show!! Howie is the best!!
Another great podcast. Always love listening to Howie. Please watch A League of Their Own, it’s such a good underrated baseball movie. Maybe even pick your daughters name after one of the characters.

Coaching to your players strengths is what makes a truly great Coach. So what, if McDaniels goes back to his old system after a couple years, god forbid the guy actually has to coach a team. It's not like he's the Head Coach or anything. If he can only do what he knows then he shouldn't be in charge period.
Adams at one point hinted at playing with Keenan Allen that’s here he should have went and played with Herbert. But he wouldn’t have got paid like he did with the Raiders.
I never rooted for Howie when he was playing my Broncos. I liked him in the movies always played a bad dude. I do know the differences in an athletes personal and professional lives.
Damn you all skipped over the best part of the Raiders. Tennessee was good 1B but the reason you all think it’s better cuz you guys missed so many dogs on Chargers release.
