Because of how heavily modified this ROM modification is, it's very easy for it to be mistaken with an entirely different game because of how everything, including the textures and zones are completely different. My headcanon for this is that this is a prequel for Sonic 1 made by Sega later to explain Sonic lore which takes place, back when he was trying to capture the moon.
This sonic saves the moon, joking aside, it reminds me of sonic 4..... for SNES, but well done and it's a romhack and not a pirated sonic made in Peru. XD
