dude this is how you do a tutorial. the way he goes through the ',tab' verbally. if he can tell us everything needed to play polyphia section, other guitarists ought to be able to do a minute worth of material in under two hours...
Thankyou for posting this man. Now i know the tabs are right since they came from the source lol. I never ever thought i would be able to play this kinda well.
No idea why are people saying that this tutorial is "hard to follow". Ive been playing guitar for only a couple months and i am already getting the hang of it lol.
I had the same problem. I saw a couple of covers and figured that before starting the next phrase you’ve gotta play the d string on the ninth fret, slide up to the tenth and back to the ninth, after which you play the a string on the tenth fret
thank you for sharing your creativity with us, Tim! 🙏 I even purchased the tabs, but I dont even know where to start. this is extremely useful. would be awesome if you would consider a video master class :)
i like this song so i figured i'd come here to try and learn it. first thing i see is a bar chord where you hammer on with your pinky AND i'm on a classical guitar, life hates me as much as i hate it apparently.
I’m learning it on a nylon string and I want to die haha. Don’t even have enough frets from the 19-21 slide on the d string so I have to do 12-14 on g string hahaha fml someone send me an Ibanez pls
@@burnthepoliticians lmao bro I've seen people pull this off on a uke so I think you have enough string and frets to play it. Just search it if u want. It's really cool
I couldnt either for a while. its a hammer on pull off with the pinky. thats what got it to sound right for me. then strum the normal chord again and do a delayed slide
e minor regularly but barre and lift the pink, strum without the pinky and hammer it down, kinda have to half strum the first 3 strings and then go at it again to get the rhythm right, just feel it out

That last part at 2:20 is so confusing man, learned the whole thing via tabs easily and stuck at the end for like two days already, and this tutorial didn't even help much. Those stupid slides combined with pull offs in one motion with a weird timing. So frustrating
I know your comment is 9 months old, but hers a rough explanation if you still need it. After playing a 0-8-0 chord on GBE, he’s hammering 9 on G then pulling it to 7 and then it’s a 3h5p3 sequence on D that goes into slide to 7 and it just goes back into the beginning of the phrase with the e minor chord.

@@rakhimberdiyevtTim Henson’s riffs are very goddamn hard. I’ve started guitar a couple months back because of polyphia but damn those hammer ons and pull offs and harmonics out of nowhere and the complex rhythm make it almost impossible to learn their songs without tabs or tutorials like that. I'm struggling with the barre in the first bit, it keeps muting and I cant pull of the "feel" since it cuts off short. I am doin the thumb thing and trying different positions but i can't seem to make it work well.
@@genesises unfortunately no. I've gotten the hang of barre chords in general and can do B minor fairly quickly, its just this stupid E minor barre chord that I cant do. My index is just not strong/tall enough to get all the snares.
In the part at 1:44 he plays the open high E string twice and also frets the G at the 12th fret, but when he speeds it up at 1:59 he only plays the high E once and doesn't play the G at the 12th. It annoys me so much.
