I never noticed until trying to learn any polyphia riffs but the use of hybrid picking is so amazing, so vital to that polyphia sound
Everytime I try to learn a Polyphia riff, I suddenly realize how easy they make everything seem 🤣
Oliver Thomas i learned to play bubble dream using hybrid picking a year ago, it kinda killed the dynamics specially on the 2nd riff 😂
May be the case because of Tim‘s classical music education he had as a child
Hybrid picking but also secret harmonics that you barely hear but are hidden everywhere.
Same here, man. Even I tried learning hybrid picking after watch Tim, and somehow soloing feels different and a bit easier now.
Polyphia is kinda one of the main reason I stopped playing rhythm (*cough *cough power chords) and started learning solos, riffs and other good techniques.
Great cover man, you sound exactly like tim, even got his signature as well
Don’t go into the replies, it’s fucking madness down there
Dood that's him your welcome

@@AzuReGravity because i'm telling the truth?
Lmfao
Not a terrible cover, you almost sound like the guy who plays in Polyphia.
He’s been playing violin since he was 3 and guitar since he was 10
And he's eleven years old
he should start a band tbh.. he has potential
The amount of sarcasm that comes from all these comments 😂
He even has Tim's signature guitar.
im gonna do a stripped down cover where i just strum the chords on an acoustic
Haha, I was thinking the same.
MASSIVE EDM DROP
*acoustic guitar strumming*
HAHAHAAHAHAHAHA
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH IM DEAD
Gold.
Thank you Tim, you made me a better guitar player, seriously.
.Hybrid picking
.Taps
.Tap slides
.Harmonics
All techniques I never practiced before polyphia changed my life
Ichika nito, manuel gardner fernandes and matheus asato too
yep pretty much. if i've never discovered polyphia, maybe i'll keep playing those 80's 90's riffs nonstop and never learn music theories
I got an electric guitar because of Tim
damn bro !
same here
Same
Now every other Goose guitar cover is useless
chus
lol yea

This isn't a cover, he's in the band I think
Pughhead stupid
Would be the only apartment neighbor I'd appreciate
Xeno Zekken that’s because he makes these riffs himself

Word.
lmaooo
I had one who did e cam stuff. You might enjoy that too
His carpet must be soakin from all that drip
Man's got more drip than Niagara Falls
Mans make me drip. Dayum
I have no idea what this means lmao
Kylo B Means he’s wearing expensive clothing/jewellery/shoes.
Tims sweaters leave trails
"I can play A LOT of songs on guitar."
"All the way through?"
"What am I, a fuckin' iPod?"
he's got a unique masterful guitar playing along with him, and a lot of young cats alike are looking up to him. At the same time Tim realizes this fact that's why he's got a lot of play through or tutorials for his tracks so younger guitar players can be encouraged to play these tasty riffs. Or have a guitar as part of their lifestyle. Guitar has been dying in the past few years with the lofi rnb hip hop wave coming in, and I admire folks like Tim sharing his immense talent through ways like these.
Based
I totally agree with you
I really really like Tim and polyphia, all of them as awesome musicians, he fools around with good reasons being as talented as he is and it's really funny for me, I'm glad they didn't get stuck in their career and try new things everytime
Knowing how Tim writes his hooks was mind blowing for me and has inspired me a lot
Guitar isn't dying because of Lofi music, check out Ichika Nito.
O K B O O M E R
Lofi actually inspired me to pick up the guitar again
The flex of having a notification for someone buying the tabs pop up on Tim's phone while he's recording his screen to show the tabs
Imagine playing open chords and being like "I can play polyphia now"
1:56 imagine sliding up with 6th intervals and saying you can play polyphia
Imagine dragons
Imagine there’s no heaven. It’s easy if you try.
@@MrgrayMrgray Imagine dragon deez nuts across yo face hahaaaaaa
i Love this Real playthrough . no effects , no miming , just clean guitar , live playing , tim you’re amazing ,
There is distortion on the guitar
Damn I'm trying to learn this song! Thanks Timi Hendrix!
Francis Sevilleja In some year it’s gonna be Jimmy Henson
Can’t wait for the Hendrix neckbeards from Blood Moon to come over here, find this comment, and have another epileptic seizure while continuing to fail to get the obvious inside joke.
I’m still mad.
Idk man he's better then hendrix
Lol
@@tientje98 I agree. Some people refuse to take off their nostalgia goggles
That triplet into eighth notes is such a sexy rhythm.
This guy is good at playing the guitar he should start a instrumental band..
I AGREEEEE!!!!!!!!

Leo Adrian right? i think it should be called "Polyphia"
@@Revvvzz Nah man, that's stupid, since that name is already taken
Well i dunno. Maybe with a guy who looks like jesus and who NOSE what he is doing!

@@pianoguy4949 thanks
Love that bridge part 🎉
It must be nice to be important enough for people to ask you to cover your own song, so they can see a cover by you covering yourself. That's dopeness².
Yeah.. I like polyphia I'm not a mega fan by any mean. And tim a crazy player yes but, and could just be the nature of being a professional musician. I dont know the guy but he seem to be pretty into himself giving all his video are him playing his own stuff.
Patrick Robichaud bruh he’s just giving us what we want stop trying to make people look bad without a reason.
@@PmrGuitar That's just the band's meme persona. They're all incredibly talented with their instruments and shit posting. Saw them in Toronto in December and Scott said he forgot the words to the next song so we needed to sing it for him and then they played Champagne which I thought was hilarious and almost everyone started shouting the melody. It was wholesome af
@@TuckinOnMySitties see that what I kinda thought too. Hence why I said I dont know them personally could be a professional thing. Like a persona or something along those lines.
Like I said in my original comment dude crazy guitarist. The hole band retarded at their instruments
@@PmrGuitar the people who watched them live always saying a good thing about the guys when they meet them at the back stage and after the show
2:42 gotta be my favourite part of the whole song
Love seeing these play-throughs. Really helps break up the different guitar parts that I can't always discern from on the studio recordings. Every time I listen I hear something new
One of my favorite players of the modern era. Everything just grooves so hard! Also, so grateful for the work you put in for your community.
Honestly whenever I listen to this I just zone out and feel like it goes on forever then I look at the time bar and realize its only been a few seconds, like the talent is so amazing, keep doing what you're doing because its nothing I've seen before
You bring such new flavor to the instrument, I love the way you play. Don't change.
Tim i love ur style of playing on a guitar and how she sounds. U r one of the best young guitarist on the Earth ! I would like to go on Polyphia concert. Greetings from Poland 🤗
God damn he’s so good
Ikr! He's almost as good as the original Polyphia guitarist! (/s)
In studio are all good but live is another player like a amateur I love his composing. but his improfization live it's really sad and his pieces
@@jonylieres4907 what the fuck are you talking about?
jony lieres theyre drunk a lot of the time live
@@jonylieres4907 there's different types of good guitarist bro, if your good at improv live or your good at writing riffs like timmy here, they're good nonetheless. I loves improv live blues but I'm never not amazed by polyphia. Just enjoy them and quit nitpicking
This is so depressing, I love it. I'm learning this song and I can play with him at 0.5x playback speed almost there in some part for 0.75x but wanted to cry when I sent it on normal. haha!
Keep going man. You got this.
how are you doing?
I'm weirdly glad that Tim is stuck at home
I'm a 30 year fat man. And you will never know how much of a hero you are to me. Legit proper fan boy 😂😂 amazing.
What's weird about being 30?
dont feel bad, im 48. my 12 year old turned me onto polyphia. theyre great
Same here bro
Such an amazing player. Could listen to him all day.
Unrelated note: I'm selling all my guitars & gear.

Thank you for your talent and sharing it with the world. Your music as well as the rest of polyphia has been bringing me out of this rut of depression for the last few months and i cant thank you guys enough for that. Please keep up the the hard work and dont ever stop creating masterpieces.
Me too. My dad passed away 2 months ago today and I've been pretty down. I heard GOAT for the first time recently and it made me feel energised and inspired to do big things. I picked up the guitar again after more than 12 years away from it and learned the intro to GOAT. I'm discovering more of Tim's videos and am inspired by what he is doing as a musician. Very powerful stuff. I hope that he continues inspiring people, it really is powerful stuff..
Bro, you are one of the most original guitar players of this decade. Keep up the good work and God bless you 🙏🏼
2:41-3:16 is maybe my favorite 30 seconds of any video. Just WTF
Same bro
@Regie Viajante xD
I’m sitting here staring like “where are these notes coming from D:”
Not sure what I want more, the jacket, the guitar or the skills
Absolute banger of a song, for sure
I saw recently that a good song is a melody that stays in your head, and this band is so full of that
the flannel matches the guitar neck
@Frazmataz Yeah. Burberry flannel. Quit being pretentious
@Frazmataz issa flannel
Frazmataz Looks like a flannel, probably a flannel
y'all should apologize to @Frazmataz over here. it's actually not a flannel. it's the "vintage check lightweight jacket in yellow", it's sadly sold out just about anywhere but if you google the name you'll find something that definitely matches what he is wearing
Peter K He's not being pretentious, he's just being specific buddy. What're you so wound up about can't we all enjoy some Burberry Novacheck Coat worn by Tim Henson of Polyphia
I can't believe how effortless he makes this look
It's just practice, lots and lots of practice :)
@@dantereyal5410 like obsession levels of practice. To the extent of needing to make it look effortless and not accepting it unless you can.
He also wrote the song…..
I play guitar everyday, about 4-6 hours a day. It takes a lot of dedication. It is stressful. It is frustrating. But man, is it ever so rewarding when you finally play a song perfectly beginning to end. I just play and mess up and keep messing up until I get it right. I've learned many Polyphia songs, and everyone is more frustrating than the last to learn, but it is an awesome feeling when you get it down!
Really nice bro.
You guys not only have great technical skill but your compositions always have me rewinding like "Damn son.. that was nasty af"👌
The goose sound effects were very well timed. I like it!
This is SO much more about "rhythm" than anything else. That and understanding the fretboard. And just being a badass.
We need covers of every song from this album, and from NLND.
Yes and a new album pls. I'm sitting here accomplishing nothing while demanding someone make art to satisfy me lmao sry not sry
Even if he gives tabs, I doubt I'll be able to go beyond one lick.
@@bhagyashree666 Try learning "The Worst", its one of their easier songs. I took a month or so, but I've pretty much nailed it now. I'm learning Champagne now, and thats reaally hard
@@akasegaonkar euphoria is probably their easiest song. The Worst's main riff is, i'd say, one of their most difficult riffs lmao
@@bhagyashree666 goose is fairly easy as well, i'm learning it right now and have been having a little bit of a tough time with the weird time signatures but the riffs themselves are not that hard
like having the tabs is the only thing stopping me from playing the song
This is a brilliant and awesome piece of music. Thank you so much for this
Keep up the great work man, love the inventiveness of your music.
Tbh, I've been drinking grey goose just because of this song 😂 but seriously, I love these playthroughs. Watching your hands move really helps me to visualize how to play this stuff. Tabs are great, but nothing quite beats seeing the movements and inputs in action with perfect audio feedback.
man Tim is the G.O.A.T.

What originality! So fresh
Love your cover and hey, you even gave us a finger heart at the end. You're so classy!
2:42 is the golden egg of goose
My son loves this song so much♡
You are simply amazing! Love your playing
So damn good. Thanks for being alive while I'm here!
this is exactly what i need right now
That amazing prog type run on 1:57 is so genius and at the same time so fucking masterful and melodic!!
Man I watch this on the Daily you need to do more of these ❤️
I’m gd 70 today. And a non-musician. I was immediately impressed with Tim’s technical chops but was reminded of the time my father wondered if I was playing (the song) East/West backwards. I am amazed at how something that sounded so foreign and random (the old kind of random kids) to me initially is beginning to make sense. Innovative much?
The master Timothy Thomas Henson showing everyone how it's done
omg flupurup from tim discord server
Should we expect other playthroughs from the same EP? I'd love to see a playthrough of The Worst, 40oz and Loud
This calms my epileptic mind so much it’s just like a magical bullet👌🏼
Super excited to get my spark amp so I can learn some of your songs!!!
That fit though. Always stylin on em 😎💯
I love how this sounds like it's recorded raw from the camera mic
Pretty sure it is

It's even more amazing watching him play it
I love the sweet sound of that Guitar.
For my money, this is the best polyphia song by a mile.

The Worst is an extremely close second for me, but yeah, people overlook TMH so damn much (in favor of NLND, of course) that it MUST be a sport at this point.
@@papabroly8000 I'll take TMH over NLND every time.
wish so many people would hear the most hated ep.. that y2k trap production and polyphia go too well together

These colors taste amazing,
I enjoyed this immensely
You can see how focused this guy is when his head is bobbing with the tempo
I don't usually use a lot of apps but this one looks really helpful, wow!
It was completely out of time with the backing track for the whole video. Seems pretty worthless unless all you want to do is strum incredibly basic chords along with the music.

I can't help it. Everytime I see Tim, his hair reminds me of Bill Murray at the end of Kingpin. As the last bowling match progresses, his hair gets more and more chaotic. It's hilarious
