Ask Bobby Sparks II what it costs. As far as I know, he's the only one that got one. I saw Snarky Puppy in Amsterdam 8 days ago, and they are having a lot of fun in letting instruments sound like an electric guitar - Bobby Sparks had a tremendous solo on this "whatever it is, but you wanna buy it" , Zach Brock also used a lot of guitar pedals to make his violin sound as a dirty guitar and it worked amazingly well. This album contains 16 songs , keep listening!
WILL DO! I used to have a Korg Kronos which could get some really dope sounding guitar instruments. Im sad i had to sell it otherwise i would've been playing it on every video :D
Its a hohner d6 clavinet with the castlebar modification. They are fairly rare, but people are still doing the mod and adding the castlebar, but not many do it. Its unique. You can get a used d6 clavinet for 5k or so. If you can find one with the castlebar for sale, it will be much, much more. Underneath the keyboard, its a stringed instrument like a piano with two pickups. The keys have a rubber tip that actually stike the strings. Its main "tone controls" are two pickup selectors which themselves both have two settings. A couple tonal adjustment settings which in guitar terms would be like a brightness setting a treble or bass cut and a slide mute switch on the right side that can be used for guitar like awells, or incredibly funky percussive effects.
Sput is playimg with Toto right now on their tour, but no longer actively with Snarky. I know in an interview about the toto gig hed mentioned hed been home without income for 6-8 months, which would include this groip of sessions. Maybe bridges were burned, or they simply had some amazing drummers come thru who just kind of naturally took the spot. Larnell only tours with them for a very limited amount of shows due to young kids and his position as a professor of music at Humber College in canada. Jason (JT) Thomas plays probably 60%+ of shows. Jamison Ross is fhe other drummer who tours significantly. Empire central had all 3 drummers and 3 percussionists for all the sessions.
@@brandonlbartlett ahh! thanks for the info! Just FYI, I was in these recordings and Sput was there the last day and played keyboards.. don't think there are burnt bridges, just perhaps too many drummers hehehe Sput is also touring with his other band "Ghost Note", him and Nate.
That Whammy Clavinet isn't real new, but there are still few musicians who have made a name for themselves with it. Perhaps the best known of the early adopters is Lachy Doley, who can be seen tearing up a famous Hendrix tune here: ruclips.net/video/HnGrktnnN7U/видео.html
Saludos desde argentina!!! I love your reactions, you should check and react this videos 1º "Jacob Collier - With The Love In My Heart (Live in Toronto)" and 2º "Polyphia - Ego Death feat. Steve Vai (Official Music Video)", you`ll love it.
At 2:35, Jamison Ross was not the original drummmer before Larnell Lewis came in. The original drummer was Robert ‘Sput’ Searight

More like “Bobby Lightning Storm.”
It’s a modified Hohner Clavinet with a whammy bar! Clarinets are stringed keyboards made famous by old 70s funk. Ala Stevie’s Superstition
Bobby's playing the clavinet with the whammy bar. He used it in Chonks from the Immigrance album as well.
I love it!
There's also video of them recording Jefe (amazing song) from Culcha Vulcha and Bill is using it there
This song was really sick when I saw them play in Amsterdam, it had an extended intro with just Lettieri playing guitar, it was really good
Really wish i could hear them live one day :O would be sooo GOOD!
Show them The Texas shuffle Mark 😬
Hell yeah, that was awesome!
Saw SP live a few weeks ago and this slapped like Will Smith at the Oscars.
DAYUM das a hard slap indeed :D

This album is groovy as f!!!
no it is not the old drummer. they have four.
Robert Sput is missing (first drummer)
Sput is basically out. He hasn't toured or recorded with them since Culcha Vulcha.
@@Matarman Bobby Sparks "replaced" Cory Henry

Salute from Bulgaria! Thanks for the support! I've added these babies to the list :D :D
Love the reaction, but the track is so fucking quiet.
Yeaah I just noticed that, I was doing some changes to the setup so I guess it got messed up somewhere.
