    I am terrible at exercising, so for the past 3 months I have only managed to implement daily walking, but with the intention of incorporating some resistance and strength training in the near future. Switching my dedicated 'long' walk from the evening to first thing in the morning (while I'm still in a fasted state) has dramatically improved my weight loss/body recomposition goals; I have not had any plateauing since making this small adjustment and I can visibly see the inches melting off my waistline. This video is a good reminder that I have to keep pushing and evolving my exercise goals. 😬

    I run 15-20 minutes most days because it helps my deppression and I enjoy it but I’m aware it’s not good for weight loss but that’s ok I do other things for that ( strength training and diet )

    Good morning Autumn and yeah hate to admit it but you were right about running. I was injury with a car involved and became a walker, listening to podcasts and that kind of stuff and added more weight training into my regiment.... Better shape now then when I was when I was a full-time runner.

      I was right there with you. I used to be a big cardio person (triathlons, marathons, etc) and eventually experimented with making the switch to walking and strength focused - I’ve never felt better!

    Good morning from the Yukon :-)
    I was lucky enough to have you feature me on your blog about my weight loss journey in the summer and I just did a one year update on the Facebook group. IF paired with the proper cardio and finally weight training, I’ve lost nearly 85lbs now. Thank you for all your videos, blog posts and just great work you do for all of us. I look forward to Tuesdays and Thursday’s lol

    I lost 75 pounds in one year by swimming and walking, and I am at my ideal weight now. I got there by swimming in the morning for one hour 5x a week, and walking in the evening, after dinner for 30 minutes. I recently had an injury which has limited my workout frequency and intensity, but I have still been able to maintain my weight by swimming 2-3 times per week and walking 30 minutes in the evening, and also 30 minutes in the mornings when I don't swim.
    Of course, I am also eating healthy: 3 meals a day with a 12-14 hour fast every day, about 40-50 grams of protein per meal. I have an occasional dessert after dinner like ice cream or a chocolate bar, but a very small amount, no larger than the serving size on the package. I believe the key is planning your meals weekly and no snacking between the meals. Those snacking calories add up fast without you realizing it, and they can really impact your results.

    my downfall is walking/running 10k or more steps early in the day and then being sedentary after that. it's so important to be moving/active. even just walking around the block for 15 minutes.

    1. You're doing too much cardio
    2. You're only doing cardio
    3. Not walking enough

    I get the overdoing it. I'm a pretty high strung person(only 1 cup of coffee a day), but even my off/lazy/cheat days, I find I hit 10,000 steps. Might have to just tie myself down on weekends, hahaha... Thanks for all the help, hope all is well. Take it easy.

    I walk 80,000 steps in a week doing 60 min of combat 2 days a week and 1 day of 45min lifting. I'm in forced menopause with hrt but my weight does not change. I've tried keto that has helped me before the weight gain but didn't help.

  • @evansmith8824
    @evansmith8824 Год назад

    I lost 60 pounds through walking and intermittent fasting in 4 months. I had times where I averaged 20,000 steps a day. I don't recommend people do this but walking or really just keeping my body moving is a great way to lose weight as long as you take care of your body well. You can definitely tire yourself out if do too much so need to keep an eye on that but it helps get body ketosis quickly and hunger or cravings go down over time. It's quite amazing actually. I think something I also realized is the further down you get mix in some more weight training in there too. A cheat day also helps get body from having stress and days after can boost your calorie burning if you are keeping moving. Discipline is key but as I said the more you go the better that comes naturally I think.

    So on those pull ups you use bands. Pull ups are hard, i consider myself fairly strong but im not there yet! not even close!

    • @AutumnBates
      @AutumnBates  Год назад

      Definitely using bands. I can do 1-2 pull ups on my own, but the bands help me get more reps in.

    Do you think LMNT the sodium level too high? It contains 1000mg per package!

    • @AutumnBates
      @AutumnBates  Год назад

      If following a high carb/high sugar diet, then yes. But hormonally a lot changes that causes the body to release a lot of water and sodium when following lower sugar/carb diet.

    Love the tips! And the doughnut visual 😂 oh man I immediately wanted a bite. I need to sugar detox 😜🤷🏼‍♀️ I can tell the more I eat bad sugars the more I crave them. Probably a no brainer, but I've found even "cheating" a little, sets me back months of progress. Hormones, laziness, and will power are my kryptonites 🙄🥵 hearing the truth a few times a week from your channel helps keep me mindful, even when I'm falling short, thank you! 💕
