Cao Cao then has Lu Bu beheaded, and Liu Bei convinces him to spare Zhang Liao, who would later prove instrumental in convincing Guan Yu to serve Cao Cao for a time (Episode 9).
"Like a Leaf in the wind" or on the wind is an old adage that just means, "at the mercy of fate" roughly. Joss Whedon just popularized it, having a character use it ironically, knowing he was at the mercy of fate but leaning into it, more or less. You can see the adage in the ending scenes of Forrest Gump, for an older popular culture example. Though that's a feather in front of trees, the premise is the same. It's a dramatic prose for Lu Bu because he's ridiculously strong, so strong many fear to fight him, but no matter how he schemed or tried to play things to his own ends, he was still at the mercy of fate. Forces beyond the control of even his prodigious strength.
I found the equivalent line in a JP playthrough. Looks like the text is: おもえば リョフは かぜに もてあそばれる このはのような じだいの ひがいしゃであった さすらいを かさねるほどに しんたい きわまり うらぎりを くりかえさざるを えなかった そして リョフは うらぎりのなかに そのじんせいの まくを とじた・・・・・ Or, rewritten in proper kanji, as far as I can tell: 思えば、呂布は風に弄ばれる木の葉のような時代の被害者であった。さすらいを重ねるほどに進退・極まり・裏切りを繰り返さざるを得なかった。そして、呂布は裏切りの中に、その人生の幕を閉じた…。 There's some kind of fancy language in there, so I'm not quite sure on it, but my first-pass translation would be something like: "Thinking on it, Lu Bu was a victim of an age like a leaf toyed with by the wind. The more his wanderings piled up, the more he could not help but repeat these actions, these dilemmas, these betrayals again and again. And so, in betrayal, Lu Bu closed the curtain on his life..." (I'm not completely sure whether the metaphor is supposed to be comparing Lu Bu himself, or the age in which he lived, to a leaf. The grammar sure looks like it's talking about the age rather than the person, but maybe I'm missing something. Also, I cannot help but look at Lu Bu's name 呂布 and want to read it as "bath towel," even though 呂 apparently originally meant "spine" and has nothing to do with baths outside of its use in the Japanese word お風呂 /ofuuro/.) So, anything _special_ about these three *Lu Bu* fights? Well, unlike the whole *Lingling Castle* + *Zheng Letter* = *Huang Zhong* = -Changsha Castle Battle- equation, you *still* have to fight those three fights even after you recruited Lu Bu at *Guiyang Castle* with another Zheng Letter. The only differences are that Lu Bu isn't fighting you in _any_ of those battles, and the dialogues that otherwise would have been said by him, are instead said by the warlords that were closest to him in those three formations (first being *Zhang Ji* and the second being *Xingdao Rong* with *Li Jue* being the third). And with that, *Jingzhou* is now so fresh, and so clean, clean! *Easily* the most exploitable area in the game, with just a few Zheng Letters in your hand. And also: *Ma Su:* H E L L O ! You forgot to mention me! I matter, too!
So for the bow, would a power pill make both hits a critical, or would it be just for the first hit? I know HC said that power pills aren't near as broken.

I would feel comfortable about gaining more levels before I fight Lu Bu during the Chapter 4 finale, but hey, whatever suits you the most.
